Cannibal Cuisine

Bought the game day 1,it’s now day 2 and i still have not been able to even play the game.currently i can get to the loading of the first level, after choosing characters, but the game locks up during the loading screen before the level,or during the cinematic.i’ve tried re-installing the game, verifying game files,re-installing again, running as admin, but nothing seems to work yet.i really enjoyed the overcooked! games, and my girlfriend and I play them alot,so it’s a pretty huge downer to not be able to play this game after buying it.i noticed today there was a small update for the game, but that hasn’t changed anything.

Definitely best overcooked-type game after Overcooked. (I’m a big overcooked fans, Full 3s Map)

Despite some little bug (dishes not delivered in order if same dishes appear / dashing knock wall / little movement bug / etc), it did not actually impact big on gameplay like what other negative review.

I would suggest some improvement needed in UI like:

  • display what item player grabbed as it quite hard to be notice

  • make the food icon bigger on campfire (also quite hard to differentiate when multiple ingredient are same color)

Kitchen Simulator 2

Kitchen Simulator 2

(Got this game for free via dev submission to SteadyGiveaways. Thanks!)

Trailer makes it look good, gameplay gets boring and fast!

Kitchen Simulator 2 is a simple game about gathering food and serving it up…not exactly cooking stuff. Some people want pizzas, others want half avacados, and some idiots want a single carrot slice….though the biggest idiots already have food on their plates even if it’s something they’re asking for.

If there’s something this game gets right is that the food looks great. Handling the food and all other models, however, look pretty bland or buggy. There’s also LAN support, but why bother when you don’t even have LAN multiplayer? This game basically has 10-15 minutes of gameplay before it spits you out at the main menu as if you hit the ESC button, which gives you the same result.

ok but what the actual fuck is this game??? it must be some type of woman thing but i cannot wrap my skull around this game, some of the items i think have been made up. wtf is a long muffin how can a muffin be long and where the fuck do i find it? what is the difference between french bread and normal bread how the fuck am i meant to serve you the correct origin bread that looks no different to japanese bread? i can grab the food just as well as Jimmy Savile can grab a child. there is no consequence if you miss a customer and i dont actually know the point as there is no scoring system and after the day ends it puts you back to the main menu. other than that id say 10/10 i would def recommend to a friend and i hope to learn all sorts of interesting facts about food prep and what its like in the kitchen. i would also like to state that Gordon Ramsay has been awfully quiet about the release of this game as i think all his fans would move to this far superior teaching method. i hope to obtain all the knowledge i possibly can from this game so i dont have to rely on my disobedient wife to make me shitty burnt scrambled eggs every fucking day. i hope you found this review helpful 👍

The graphics are pretty good and I find that this game is addicting. The two problems I have with it is that the game keeps crashing when launched and that there’s an annoying glitch where people keep walking into the stand without dissapearing. Despite those problems, the game keeps me coming back for more!

Let me start by saying I hate cooking games. Really wtf why do I want to pretend cook when I don’t even really want to cook? Now that we have got that out of the way… My woman LOVES cooking games. I bought this for my girl so she could see why I like vr. Needless to say she took over my vr. So I was stuck playing on my phone and watching tv… The following day I asked her to make me a sammich. She went into the “VR room” and begain playing the game. I walked in and asked “Wtf I thought you were making me a sammich?”. She explained she made me 10 hamburgers and if I wanted to be ungreatfull I can take my lazy azz to the nearest mcdonalds or starve.

Second Update on review:

I still really want to give this game a good review but I can still only give it a neutral rating. As you can see I have over 182 hours play time……

There are a lot of good things about it and a lot of bad.

Pros:

Fun to play

Great time waster

Builds up your clicking muscles

Overall attraction is great when you first start out

Cons:

-The game has a lot of bugs - i.e. glitchy where I can’t move food around - it just sticks there

(The developers DID answer my query however want a screen shot or video which I can’t give since the glitches are sporadic) - Update – so far with the last update this hasn’t happened anymore - this continues to be true – only minor glitches on some of the missions)

I played this game several years ago on mobile. I forgot what was the reason I uninstalled it after quite some time, probably related to the diamonds.

I was expecting the developer will improve the game to work better on a different platform but it seems they just put the entire game into a different platform and only removed the diamond purchase. And the game is lacking of compatibility and user interface testing before it rolls out to a different platform.

Some problems I experienced playing this game:

If you’ve enjoyed playing Infinifactory, you’ll probably enjoy this too. Instead of having to get things exactly positioned and joined like in infinifactory, this requires you to manage an assembly line and combine ingredients and process them in different ways. In a lot of ways, it reminds me of Factorio, but without having to battle biters that want to kill you. Some machines ignore certain ingredients, so that makes it easier to reuse certain equipment.

Overall, it’s an interesting game that I enjoy more than I thought. GrayStillPlays just put a video up showing the wrong way to play the game (but it is hilarious, and what made me want to get it myself).

Campfire Cooking

Campfire Cooking

A perfect little puzzle game with a lot of variability and increasing challenge! Took me about 20 hours to 100%. A perfect game for anyone who likes puzzle games even a little bit, or anyone who wants to work on something while listing to a video or podcast.

This is a nice lil indie puzzle game I picked up a while ago and I’m ready to write my review on it. The concept is pretty simple so this review won’t take too much of your time.

The story is a grandfather is taking his grandchildren camping. The kids come up with a way to make camping more interesting by toasting the marshmallows in a very particular way.

Campfire Cooking is a neat puzzle game in which you have to figure out how to toast both sides of a marshmallow on both of its sides. Each stage is in a grid like pattern and will have different hazards and challenges. As you complete each world, you will unlock new play style options. For example, on the first world, you can only move metal sticks left to right, up and down. However, on the second world they introduce wooden sticks in where you can now rotate the sticks and now the puzzles become slightly harder.

Dead Hungry

Dead Hungry

This game is hilarious and mighty fun! The goal is to feed hungry people that literally looks like zombies and turn them back to happy humans by satisfying their hunger. If they wait to long they will attack you and it’s game over :D. You can throw whatever you find to them to prolong the attack. The key to success is to act fast while preparing meals and keeping everything organized. New items will be unlocked by completing the level with 3 stars.

This game is a hidden gem and great for workout. The concept is unique and reminds me of the snickers commercials. Get it asap if you’re looking for some quick fun :)

Real player with 11.1 hrs in game

Fast-paced humourous game where you throw food at zombies to satisfy them. Lots of different challenges, including levels where food cooks (and burns) twice as fast, where you are missing an ingredient, and where monsters have certain traits (such as being on fire). It’s a very good physical workout, and it gets extremely difficult later in the game. Be prepared to retry often!

Graphics are mediocre, but that’s not a big deal. Many models look blocky and look like they have oil on them. I do not like the music at all.

Good Pizza, Great Pizza - Cooking Simulator Game

Good Pizza, Great Pizza - Cooking Simulator Game

Look, this is a good game; I love this game, I’ve played this since it was released on 2018 as a mobile game. So, why the bad review? Because that’s the problem that came since they released Chapter 4, the developers completely forgot about PC players and it’s just a mobile game you can play on PC.

Let me dive a little into the issues I’ve found since the 4th chapter release:

  • It takes you 12 hrs of real life time to grow the two/three new ingredients they’ve introduce; the major problem of this is they don’t give you a nice free plant like the eggplant you have on the counter. You have to grow them plant by plant on the garden and customers keep demaning those ingredients on their pizza EVEN IF YOU’RE OUT OF STOCK. I don’t know if it’s a bug because, if you don’t have stock of it but you’re growing it back in the garden they will ask you for it.

This game is absurdly addictive and has a surprising amount of heart for something that I was expecting to be a new take on Papa’s Pizzeria or similar games. There are several cute, weird storylines happening in the background that make starting each day refreshing and interesting. There are enough different customers with different orders to keep you on your toes, and puzzling out just what in the world some of them mean is a trick all of its own.

This game has its own kind of buffyspeak that you WILL find your self compulsively quoting in your waking hours and in your dreams. I work in food service and this is probably the game closest to the real experience, and somehow it still manages to be a great way to destress after a long day at my actual food service management job.

Pizza Express

Pizza Express

You are roped by your friend Lucky into the job of preparing pizzas for her friend Gastone’s new pizzeria. Officially, you are in charge of rolling out the dough (with just one click), and pouring sauce and sprinkling ingredients onto the flattened dough. This is your main role when the pizzeria’s open. After work though, you are also in charge of the kitchen’s setup and the type of pizzas on the menu.

After work, you are also unofficially in charge of advertising, setting work hours, and buying furniture and gifts for the shop. (Considering you also get to name the shop and pretty much have the deciding vote on things, how much ownership does Gastone really have over this place? lol)

I’m 7+ hours into this game and still enjoying it immensely. Its pixely graphics may lead the casual browser to perceive that it is a bit of a cheap game and will perhaps not have much that’s satisfying to offer, but don’t let the appearance fool you: this is one of the best business simulation games on Steam! I am very surprised at its depth.

There are essentially two phases: day (open hours) and night (closed hours).

During open hours, customers will flood into the store, order pizzas off of your menu, and then wait for you to make them. In this part you’ll be playing something akin to “cook, serve, delicious” where you actually have to assemble the pizza from your batch of ingredients and then send it out to the customers. You dont' want to keep the customers waiting too long, so you have to build the pizzas quickly and accurately. One thing that potential players may NOT like about this section is that you can’t just assemble the pizzas using hotkeys, like you can do in “cook, serve, delicious”. In this game, you must click each ingredient and manually drag it to the pizza, and you have to do it accurately. If you don’t drag the item directly over the pizza, it doesn’t count. This will be a turn off to some people, but if you are okay with this, you are in for a treat.
