Star Chef: Cooking & Restaurant Game

Star Chef: Cooking & Restaurant Game

If you don’t mind waiting 6-12 hours before some dishes and upgrades are complete, it is a fun free game. You can buy in game money that will speed things up if you want to spend money on the game. I would not recommend spending any money on the game because the game keeps crashing. I submitted a report to the company and never heard back. I think since this game is made for mobile devices it was not optimized for PC and should not have been released as PC because it is broken.

Update- They seemed to have fixed the crashing problem.

I truly have enjoyed playing this game. I consider it one of my current favorites, that I keep going back to play regularly . You can obtain anything without cash, but it just will take a lot longer, also you will need patience; which apparently a lot of nay-sayers don’t have. A two or three dollar real cash purchase in the very beginning of the game can save the average player anywhere from three days to one week time. Also I have noticed that everything progressively gets harder and has more coin needed, level 30 on is where things slow down considerably, and it turns into a longevity game in my option. One of the only reasons that I will not recommend this game is that I payed real money upgrading the parking lot, to max of thirty in game cash max collect, and kinda expected that in one day the collecting would be similar to the stage singer 24hrs total experience gain., With the parking lot, I waited overnight, approx 12 hrs, and it wasn’t half or practically anything done, it was only 2 in game cash… expect to be modified to one day, or have a timer added, at least. If not it feels like your just ripping people off. Should be like bar of 4hrs to 12hrs or at least stage 24hrs. In my over 35 years of gaming experience that is what makes sense, and would be what I recommend the situation. the parking lot started at 3 and i maxed it to 30 kinda expected 30 at same time of 3 not 2 like got, your system is currently like the Simpsons would say is ….. on a stick.

Pretty solid indie horror game, you can tell from the details of the house and the store that there’s more than meets the eye with this game.

A really fun community experience that has the chaotic flavor of the Cook, Serve, Delicious series combined with the feeling of victory that only true teamwork can bring. The theme song is incredible and is worth launching the game just to listen to.

Restaurant Empire II

Restaurant Empire II

I’ve played Restaurant Empire II off and on over many years (counting that the first game is included in II). When buying REII you get the full original RE game included.

The graphics are basic, the AI of customers and staff very limited, and the interface clunky in that you have to do a lot manually and one by one - for example you have to add recipes individually to the restaurant menu. But. I find it strangely compelling to try to get my chef up to 100% skill levels in as many recipes as possible, moving him between cuisines to round off his skills.

As a fan of the first Restaurant Empire game, at first I was disappointed with this one. A lot of the animations are the same, and this game adds coffee and dessert shops, so you have customers eating sandwiches and cookeis with forks and knives. Also, all the customers are talking on cell phones and using laptops now, which is annoying when you’re waiting for a chance to click on them. I actually quit the game for a long time because of these irritations.

However, I recently came back to it and I’m glad I did. It’s a lot of fun as a strategy game, and still fun just to tinker around with the restaurants and watch the chefs cook. The first game lacked female chefs, aside from Delia, but this time there are plenty of them, and that’s a welcome change too. The game isn’t very difficult, but it has some challenge to it, and it’s hard to find challenging strategy games these days.

I like that it does not take long to get goodies. I like the game play and graphics. I dislike having to spend actual money to get anywhere fast. Overall however I would recommend!
