Cannibal Cuisine

Cannibal Cuisine

Bought the game day 1,it’s now day 2 and i still have not been able to even play the game.currently i can get to the loading of the first level, after choosing characters, but the game locks up during the loading screen before the level,or during the cinematic.i’ve tried re-installing the game, verifying game files,re-installing again, running as admin, but nothing seems to work yet.i really enjoyed the overcooked! games, and my girlfriend and I play them alot,so it’s a pretty huge downer to not be able to play this game after buying it.i noticed today there was a small update for the game, but that hasn’t changed anything.

Definitely best overcooked-type game after Overcooked. (I’m a big overcooked fans, Full 3s Map)

Despite some little bug (dishes not delivered in order if same dishes appear / dashing knock wall / little movement bug / etc), it did not actually impact big on gameplay like what other negative review.

I would suggest some improvement needed in UI like:

  • display what item player grabbed as it quite hard to be notice

  • make the food icon bigger on campfire (also quite hard to differentiate when multiple ingredient are same color)

Its not a bad game. Its actually pretty fun. Some things could be explained better, like right-clicking on a plate to remove items. Also, theres a couple bugs. One of them makes it impossible to beat the game because it won’t give you the right ingredient to finish a recipe. Overall, I feel like I had enough fun for my $2.

This is a fun and challenging game. Some recipes are very difficult to get full stars tho, it kind of frustrate me a bit, I had to retry so many times to find a very specific way to move or click my mouse. The way this game is play kind of unique compare to other time-management game, that’s why I remember it after so many years. I play a lot of time-management game so it is kind of nice to see something different. This is not a perfect game but a game I not regret purchased.

My grandchildren (granddaughters) enjoy this game very much. Perhaps this is the audience the game is aimed for. And for young girls it seems to work well. I’ve played through and to me it seemed a bit repetitive, but kids don’t seem to be bothered by that and just enjoy it for what it is. No necessary reading skills, so language isn’t important really. There are a lot of graphics that do the explaining when its needed. And the graphics are pretty good. I haven’t seen problems with bugs although the low screen resolution is a bother, but my computer handles it just fine.

Slightly recommended if you’re looking for something that’s a little janky but can be played with friends. I’m sure this would be better with friends who can guard and cook but maybe too easy to start.

The idea is solid and reminds me of overcooked but with enemies. You’re trying to handle kitchen duties while enemies burst in and attack them. They’re pretty quick and once the enemy latches on it’s pretty much over. The powers (attacks) feel very weak and it’s incredibly difficult to aim.

If I was going to suggest improvements it would be:

Diner Mania

Diner Mania

Diner Mania is what it sounds like, a combination of Diner Dash and Cake Mania. As far as content goes, Diner Mania is bare bones, offering only the most minimal of content a game of this genre can present. The storyline is fairly straightforward: A string of family friendly restaurants are driven out of business by rowdy bikers who vandalize, terrorize, and refuse to pay their bill, leaving only the owners of the Italian restaurant in charge of helping rid their town of the biker plague and put their neighbouring restaurants back in business. Despite this endearing storyline, this game itself is anything but endearing,

Diner Mania is a game where you are given the task to run a restaurant, serve customers and try to get gangsters to leave the business. With the money you earn you can upgrade your restaurant and get new dishes to serve. Eventually you save enough money to buy three more restaurants and you should try to earn the full three stars in each restaurant to finish the game.

The game has a good pace, and can get quite difficult at times when you are swarmed with customers. Thankfully you are able to switch restaurants in the game, so it never really gets boring (until the end, when I was trying to get the three stars in the last restaurant, and no upgrades left, that was a bit tedious).

I’VE COMPLETED THE WHOLE GAME

This was close to being a recommended title.

It’s a solid idea that works well enough. You get a type of food (fries, pizza, noodles, burgers + fries) and you just have to serve that type of food to everyone. Cook the ingredients and make sure that everyone gets their food before they get mad. Reach the profit goal and off with you to the next level.

In between levels you get some upgrades to make sure that you can keep up with the orders. And here comes the first issue. The game is a mobile-port. So, the tap and drag method has been rigidly ported over to the keyboard and mouse and let me tell you… it fucking sucks. It’s too slow and the hitboxes are so incredibly misplaced that upgrading your kitchen fully is not a good idea. It’s a waste of money and gold and you’ll just fall behind on your cooking.

You’re better off with Cook, Serve, Delicious. This game is just crap.

First, it’s a horrible mobile port with amazing features such as:

  • double currency system (coins and gold)

  • the second currency is gained way too slowly and an item in particular is impossible to purchase because a playthrough makes you 200 gold and the item costs 1500

  • no possibility to change the resolution

  • no possibility to change between full-screen and windowed. I only got a windowed mode which didn’t even fit my screen properly

If you’ve enjoyed playing Infinifactory, you’ll probably enjoy this too. Instead of having to get things exactly positioned and joined like in infinifactory, this requires you to manage an assembly line and combine ingredients and process them in different ways. In a lot of ways, it reminds me of Factorio, but without having to battle biters that want to kill you. Some machines ignore certain ingredients, so that makes it easier to reuse certain equipment.

Overall, it’s an interesting game that I enjoy more than I thought. GrayStillPlays just put a video up showing the wrong way to play the game (but it is hilarious, and what made me want to get it myself).

Campfire Cooking

Campfire Cooking

A perfect little puzzle game with a lot of variability and increasing challenge! Took me about 20 hours to 100%. A perfect game for anyone who likes puzzle games even a little bit, or anyone who wants to work on something while listing to a video or podcast.

This is a nice lil indie puzzle game I picked up a while ago and I’m ready to write my review on it. The concept is pretty simple so this review won’t take too much of your time.

The story is a grandfather is taking his grandchildren camping. The kids come up with a way to make camping more interesting by toasting the marshmallows in a very particular way.

Campfire Cooking is a neat puzzle game in which you have to figure out how to toast both sides of a marshmallow on both of its sides. Each stage is in a grid like pattern and will have different hazards and challenges. As you complete each world, you will unlock new play style options. For example, on the first world, you can only move metal sticks left to right, up and down. However, on the second world they introduce wooden sticks in where you can now rotate the sticks and now the puzzles become slightly harder.

Who is thinking of purchasing this in Late 2018? I just spent my allowance on it, to do a video on it this week. I liked the game a lot, it’s a memory. Unfortunately though, it’s way past its prime, and it’s likely on the verge of obsolescence with MacOS Mojave. The reason I am doing this is because one thing I’m interested in is Apple’s 32-bit phase-out. I recently did a video on it, which you can check out here at my YouTube channel. https://youtu.be/DmqGZWKTYx4

So, do I recommend it? Well, because the next MacOS will likely compromise this app, as according to Apple, I do recommend it, but only if you’re OK with the fact that this app may not last the MacOS Mojave update.

Cooking Dash is a several part, time and click order management series. I played this and the other parts throughout my childhood. As you advance through the game you move through several different restaurants, upgrading the restaurants aesthetically and the equipment. I would not call it customization as there are no options to choose between.

Unfortunately the game does bug out and crash on Windows 10. Just a quick restart fixes the problem but it is annoying.

TLDR: It was a great game in its time. Still okay when working. Simple, addictive, get on sale.

I believe cooking only takes time away from eating (not to mention the shopping before and washing up after), but was happy to finally see a food-based puzzler that isn’t time-management nonsense.

cooking is very similar to doodle god, but with actual sense, not just combining random stuff to create more random stuff. at least that’s what I thought at first, then blamed myself for being a big-time eater with zero idea about cooking, then realized that part of my being dumbfounded is because everything consists of 2 or 3 ingredients, which may sound easy, but it really isn’t.
