Sayonara Electric

Sayonara Electric

Beautiful game with narration

The art, music, and voice acting in this game is very nice. I enjoyed the story, the way it unfolds is enjoyable. The concept could have been fleshed out a bit more.

The USD $10 price tag is a bit steep for some people, considering the length of the VN. If you can catch it on sale, go ahead. You will enjoy it over a cup of coffee.

A very short interactive story featuring soothing narration and top-notch voice acting.

Game’s premise:

_**The game is set on lunar base, now that the life on earth has ceased its existence.

You wake up at the sound a soothing voice. Rick is standing in front of you while stating that the Christmas day has come.

With the reassuring company offered by Rick and your cat Elec, you live through your daily slow-paced routine.**_

Featurings:

This game does offer an interactive story to experience in a form quite comparable to reading an actual book, with the addition of Japanese voice acting.

Though, I read on the game's page that it's a very popular visual novel on Android although it's indie so I hope it had the visibility and the support it deserved! It's the only game from Scarlet String featured on Steam so I really hope that they will make new games like this one and port them on Steam :) The artwork and the general graphics, just to start with something, are awesome and feature many different styles. It's clear that the developer put lots of work in designing manga-like characters, detailed backgrounds and cute little cutscenes (you can see some of them in the screenshots!!) :) *– [Real player with 13.0 hrs in game](http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198356141989)* **This VN is not the easiest one to read - it's slow-paced, at times confusing and the writing not always hits the mark. The "people don't talk like that" feeling some more critical reviews mention is very much real, especially in the first few chapters.** Still, later in the game the story really becomes intriguing - information you get let's you piece things together and slowly uncover the logic behind the main intrigue. Also, as the stakes get higher, the writing starts feeling much more solid and focused. The plot itself is emotionally engaging, while art and music, even if simple, complements it rather well. The ending, although hidden behind a very nasty mechanic (**go for the roof first, it's not a spoiler, it's a life-saver**), is satisfying and to some extent caught me by surprise. My eyes got teary from it, what happens rarely enough to be a recommendation in itself if you're looking for some feels. *– [Real player with 11.0 hrs in game](http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561197970898913)* --- ![HOPE VR: Progressive Meditation](https://cdn.cloudflare.steamstatic.com/steam/apps/1703740/header.jpg "") ## HOPE VR: Progressive Meditation seems like voice commands were removed, and perhaps for the best! menu commands work perfectly and respond instantly. definitely recommend it at this stage, my favourite is the snow area at night with the aurora in the sky! i'll keep an eye on this one as the developer promised more updates to come. Edit: the game changed so much from the release date! Kudos to the developer for sticking to it, now the game has alot more to do and I'm loving it! *– [Real player with 38.8 hrs in game](http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561199065741494)* you'll need a big chungus PC if you want to run this game on epic settings in VR, but it was well worth it. though please add more depth to the experience, the world needs to be more "Alive", perhaps trackers for when you log in daily as I've used it for a couple of days and an incentive to keep logging in would work wonders *– [Real player with 20.2 hrs in game](http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198077812295)* --- ![Intrepid Izzy](https://cdn.cloudflare.steamstatic.com/steam/apps/908560/header.jpg "") ## Intrepid Izzy Intrepid Izzy is a great game that has the old school charm with new age design, graphics, and personality. This game reminds me of the "New Super Mario" games on Wii or Switch. There is that nostalgic feeling while playing these games but also a fresh and relevant game play for 2020\. Playing Intrepid Izzy, you have the freedom to move around and re-enter stages. This is part of the games charm, as you acquire new suites while going to different levels. These suites give Izzy powers, such as fly/glide or climbing walls. As Izzy progresses through the game, she can go back to previous stages to find additional key items. *– [Real player with 9.5 hrs in game](http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198964554238)* This is a case study on how important sounddesign is in a game. Visually the game is top notch but then you have 15 sec looping music and bad stock sound effects that really distract from the experience. I do recommend the game but only with the music turned off. *– [Real player with 6.7 hrs in game](http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198035182410)* --- ![How About Spikes](https://cdn.cloudflare.steamstatic.com/steam/apps/847570/header.jpg "") ## How About Spikes Well, the Music is pretty good though. *– [Real player with 8.3 hrs in game](http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198049452454)* Es ist so ziemlich Dark Souls nur spielt es in Bielefeld *– [Real player with 5.0 hrs in game](http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198050988698)* ---
