Cat President 2: Purrlitical Revolution
Oh, a Rock! Studios is back at it again with the sequel to the visual novel I loved so much. Much like the first game, this game does not pretend to be something it’s not. It gives you everything you’d expect from its title and more. Six new candidates, six more cats to love. If you’re interested by a concept as funny as talking cats running for president, this is the VN for you.
Love this game! My vote would go to either Mr. Biscuits or Kaleidoscope.

I’m meant to stay impartial, but… Vote Kaleidoscope! Basically, 6 new VN’s about cats running for president - depending on the cat you choose! If you liked the crazy of the first, you’ll like this.

Cat President ~A More Purrfect Union~
It’s a really cute parody of American elections. But this game will be intersting even for those who are absolutely not into politics. I was so excited to play it being a great cat lover. We can hear those cats purring in the game which is so relaxing and enjoyable! Unfortunately I can’t say the same about barking sounds but even they helped to create a general nice atmosphere of the world ruled by cute animals because people became too corrupted. I find it so adorable that the photos of real cats are used. DJ Nibbles looks especially cute for me! Plus in every route there’re amazing cat pictures on the walls. It was a real pleasure for my eyes to play through this novel!

Tries to be Catoful Boyfriend, but doesn’t quite get there. A big part of why Hatoful Boyfriend works so well is that it starts with a one-note joke, but gradually reveals a complex story structure and lore, ending with a (probably well-spoiled by now) plot twist and genre shift. Cat President starts with a one-note joke and never strays far from it, so if you don’t find the idea of talking cat politicians inherently funny, it’ll get old really fast.
It’s a visual novel with no gameplay, and the choice structure is very simple (pick a cat, make some choices along a linear plot and have a sound effect tell you if you chose correctly, then reach one of three endings based on how many correct choices you made). Your choices basically don’t affect anything but the ending, so replaying involves skipping a lot of text, and the correct choice indicator should have been optional, because although it takes some of the frustration out of finding the good endings, it takes some of the fun out of it, too.

Nyaa-kuza!!
The UI, level hub, and main menu art assets are absolutely gorgeous, and it seems like there’s a lot of content to play through. There are a ton of different characters in the dialogue sequences but I don’t think it gets to the point of being overwhelming. I also really enjoy certain aspects of the combat, like choosing between different kinds of weapons (including a catzooka??!), and the falling clothesline; I hope there’s more interactive environments like that. It’s so obvious that hours and hours of love went into the making of this game.

I love the art style of the menu and character portraits as well as the music, however the sprites for the fight section just don’t really match everything else. In fight segments, I found you can easily just push against enemies and swing your katana at them which prevents them from attacking back. The boss fights however gave a better fight.
Personally, I think it would work better with a non pixel-like look for the fight segments and change the fights to just boss fights, each with their own moveset as even on Hard, the regular enemies were no threat at all.

The Cat! Porfirio’s Adventure
I have played through this game twice. I think its safe to say i have some authority on the topic of this game. This game is janky, broken, buggy, hilarious, soul stealing and unitentionly funny. the cats in this game look like they will rape your children instead of cuddling them. I had a great time making fun of this game but if you’re looking for the next mario 64 look elsewhere. the control is off putting to say the least. Porfirio’s jump is in a weird arch that destroys all platforming. im glad i made my friend buy this hot mess of a game. its become a personal joke.

Game bought in a bundle or at 75%+ discount, or acquired from a public giveaway
```I'm not a cat, so I have to trust the Devs, that "using the mouse to control Porfirio would be offensive to cats everywhere". However as a human I find the controls so awkward, even after reconfiguring them, that I gave up on the game after just an hour (the rest of my "playing" time is from letting it run in the background for Trading Cards to drop).
It's not, that it can't be done. It wasn't really that hard to get to antenna at least. It's just frustrating and simply no fun, which is a pity, as it seems, that otherwise it could be a nice, casual game, and probably a great game for kids.
## Depanneur Nocturne
A lighthearted exploration game where you are browsing a store for a perfect gift, anywhere from 15 to 60 minutes depending on how many achievements you want to hit; however, I want to point out that most of the secrets in this game add a lot to the experience. There are a few hidden areas that you could miss if you decide to end the game prematurely, so I would encourage everyone to fully explore it - pretty much entire game is optional so it's up to you when you want to finish. It has a little bit of replay value because there are some gifts that you can't obtain during the same playthrough, but as far as I can tell they just change a few lines of dialogue at the end. Despite the lack of content, I thought it was a very worthwhile experience with enjoyable narrative and beautiful art style, especially all of that world-building artwork on the walls.
Late evening. A street closed off at either end by roadworks. You need to buy a gift but only one shop is still open.
Inside, you're greeted by a lizard-like and rather stern shopkeeper, Eugenie. She says she’s teasing, but you’re not sure if she means it. It’s under her watchful gaze, and the ever-glaring eye of a CCTV camera that tracks your every move, you begin to browse the shelves.
You quickly realise there isn’t much to browse. The shelves are well-stocked, yes, but there are only a few items to click on. Still, these items provoke your curiosity. Pleasant music plays while you browse, courtesy of a radio which you’re free to retune. There are strange posters on the wall and even complimentary coffee… though my clumsy efforts at making it elicited laughter from me and a gentle rebuke from Eugénie.
## Chicken Police - Paint it RED!
Great game, couldn't put it down until I've finished it.
Really hope there's another one in the pipeline, I'll definitely get it.
If you like detective games, and/or noir then it definitely will worth your while.
The concept of using animals in the art while weird at first glance, really grew on me, especially when I heard them talk.
There's just so much effort put in the art and voices it's hard to overstate.
I'm actually super interested in some unexplored areas, like the hive and Roachtown.
I usually don’t play visual novels, but Chicken Police made me interested and curious immediately when I saw it on Steam for the first time. I decided to buy it because of its distinctive art style and the fact that I love crime/detective games like L.A. Noire, The Wolf Among Us, Sherlock Holmes: Crimes and Punishments, Grim Fandango and many others.
Chicken Police has a very special noir look combined with very sharp colors when the game wants you to really NOTICE something, for example a text painted RED or stunning GREEN eyes on one of the characters. I absolutely love the contrast. The idea of having human bodies and animal heads is amazing! Also it gave the game a great opportunity to make good animal related jokes.
on the one hand the game is pathetic and trivial like for 6-7 year old kids( for e.g spell rat,cat,dog) and then ist so insanely difficult that even a pro player cant complete the tasks( Soccer game). So basically this game cant be recommended to anybody.
*edit* Im changing this review to a positive one. The reason is firstly, that i managed to get the "soccer" achievment and secondly..the game is soooooooo cute! little pornfirio
### Beautiful game with narration
The art, music, and voice acting in this game is very nice. I enjoyed the story, the way it unfolds is enjoyable. The concept could have been fleshed out a bit more.
The USD $10 price tag is a bit steep for some people, considering the length of the VN. If you can catch it on sale, go ahead. You will enjoy it over a cup of coffee.
### _**A very short interactive story featuring soothing narration and top-notch voice acting.**_
### Game's premise:
_**The game is set on lunar base, now that the life on earth has ceased its existence.
You wake up at the sound a soothing voice. Rick is standing in front of you while stating that the Christmas day has come.
With the reassuring company offered by Rick and your cat Elec, you live through your daily slow-paced routine.**_
### Featurings:
This game does offer an interactive story to experience in a form quite comparable to reading an actual book, with the addition of Japanese voice acting.
