Awsome arcade classics, on rails shooters. Had the first one on mobile and glad they are both on steam now,but just a bit of a shame they have not been updated with better graphics or remastered.
But if you like arcade games and on rails shooters, then you should love this.
Oh, and the soundtrack is cool to. 😊

Aaero
DISCLOSURE: I checked product received for free because I received this game through a giveaway.
When I first started to play Aaero I was slightly disappointed initially due to my own misconceptions. I didn’t know much about it beforehand and had expected it to be a rhythm game. I even went back and read the Steam store description for the game, and in fact nowhere does it suggest Aaero is a rhythm game. Although the music plays a major role in Aaero, it’s first and foremost a twin-stick rail shooter.

A must-play for the rhythm game fan.
tl;dr
great wub wub soundtrack, fight a giant sand worm, tight controls, fun gameplay, fight a giant robot spider, worth buying
Trace ribbons of light with one stick, and shoot enemies with the other - all to the beat of an outstanding soundtrack - Aaero is an intensely exciting experience that is both accessible and has more than a bit of challenge to the dedicated player.
At the time of writing, I’m one of 5 people to have accessed and completed all difficulties in the game, having taken me 8 hours to achieve this.

Gal*Gun: Double Peace
TL;DR
This game is sort of a retro arcade-style fast-paced on-rail shooter, except instead of using guns to shoot enemy soldiers on a battlefield, you’re using sex pheromones to shoot anime girls in an academy. Overall it’s a great game, and I really enjoy playing it.
Main Pros
- There’s a built-in “panic button” (normally bound to M) that you can press to pause the game and pull up a fake old school RPG game to fool friends or family members if they were to walk in to you being bombarded by lustful anime girls.

It’s not a great port: xbox gamepad prompts are everywhere (but mouse and keyboard are working, and in story-critical QTEs you’ll get proper mouse prompts) and there are unexplainable game crashes on some setups, but it is still fun and weird Japanese nonsense. You should buy it, if you are into shooting pheromones at school girls and female teachers trying to express their love to you.
You can call this game “a lewd Japanese nonsense”. It’s an on-rails shooter. Your character moves through the school and then SUDDENLY GIRLS! Thousands of them! And every one of them wants to become your girlfriend forever. You have no choice but to defend yourself. You must disarm them - you do it by shooting pheromones at your attackers. In the best traditions of on-rails shooters, girls are zone-sensitive targets, so it matters where you shoot your load. Disarmed girls will scream with ecstasy and fall on the ground in lewd funny possess. Apart from the standard shooting mechanics, you can see through girls’ clothes while zooming-in…and touch girls in doki-doki mode…and…and don’t judge me.

Iridion 3D
I purchased this game merely due to nostalgia for arcade super scrollers like galaxy force 2 and it turned out to be a pretty fun game, but warning for potential buyers is that this is a straight up GBA port with nothing new added and looks kind of blurry all blow up on a big screen. One more knock against the game is the fact there is no ability to save and you have to rely on passwords. The game still is a fun arcade shooter, but don’t expect anything close to a remaster.

I honestly never expected to see this game on steam. Iridion 3D is one of my favorite games of all time. The game is a launch title for the Game Boy Advance, which is something to keep in mind about this game. The game uses a pseudo 3D effect in order to create a unique Shmup game that i have never seen an attempt to replicate the style of. While the pseudo 3D style can be very akward at first, if you are able to adapt, the game is a very fun, while short game. While some may feel the fact the game is short is a flaw, i find it adds to the ease of picking up the game for a quick playthrough. As a launch title for the GBA, the game has some audio oddities, along with issues due to developers still learning the limitations of the platform. all in all, if you can get past the flaws and get used to the pseudo 3D style, it is a very fun game.

Iridion II
my favorite gba game maybe the best im very godlike at it

Fun shooting game with interesting visuals originally on the Gameboy advance. While I recommend the game let it be known that it is a very straight forward port with little to no changes. The control scheme is a bit counter intuitive if you are playing on an Arcade stick so rebinding through steam is likely a good idea for most.
I still recommend the title and it is especially impressive given the time and hardware for which it was originally released. I do have a CRT monitor to play games like this so that does a long way in making the visuals pop. As mentioned in a negative review it would likely scale rather poorly to higher resolutions on lcd monitors.

Astrodogs
TL;DR : Never played a StarFox game, but this goofy, chill little dog game makes me want to.
What is this funny little dog shooty game?
Astrodogs is a 3D, forward moving, on-rails shooter with enough charm to change your attitude for the entire day. The game revolves around 8 or so small stages with unique aesthetics, designs, music, enemies and bosses. (My personal favourites are Barkstille and Barkadia.)
I’ve never played something like this before, is it difficult?
At first, yes. But if you keep at it, you’ll learn the levels, you’ll learn the 5 techniques you need to know (4 different “special” attacks and a bullet-time mechanic). The bosses all have a gimmick to them which at first, is SUPER annoying, because you’ll be tanking damage and dealing none, but you’ll figure it out and feel like even Einstein is no match for your superior intellect.
– Real player with 8.6 hrs in game
As a die hard fan of Star-Fox. There hasnt been any games to come out that capture the on rails space shooting magic. This game does! I love the levels, music, controls and overall humour. A real treat!
