Had a good time, reminded me of Custom Robo quite a bit which I loved as a kid. I didn’t play with anybody, because it’s not online multi, which kinda sucks. But the single player had a lot to do. The guilds are a bit awkward to get through, but playing with a full build on day 6 was pretty sweet, lots of things to think about, pretty complex. Looking forward to future patches!

Fast, fun, satisfying fighting game that incorporates a nice blend of different character progression elements. It’s quick to learn but difficult to master and there’s plenty to experiment with. I’m partial to Ignissa but Vito is a close runner up. Looking forward to future updates!

Dungeon Stars Early Access Preview Impression

After playing close to 6 hours of Furnace Games‘ Dungeon Stars, we have to say that are loving this game.

This is our impression and not a review for the main reason that as of this writing, Dungeon Stars IS in early access on Steam and there could be changes coming with the full release of the game. That being said, once the full game is released, then we will give our full review.

Quite a lot of fun for something so simple on the surface. Really easy for my 4y/o to pick up and play some of the easier levels and even understand the rock/paper/scissors mechanic through the color system. Thaat being said, there seems to be enough challenge going forward to keep me interested. The controller option is pretty buggy at this point. Some of the menus dont function quite right but I’m fairly certain those are easy fixes. I hope the developers continue to try to diversify the gearing and heroes. They seem a little too similar at this point. Overall I am enjoying it so far and look forward to future updates.

This game has a lot of potential, only about 30 mins long or so but this is still early access! the mechanics and character movement are very fluid, level design is pretty cool as well, Go ahead give it a try! ITS FUN

Fun little game, really simple gameplay and pretty short in length, but not too bad!

The achievements didn’t work for me though, I didn’t get a single one of them after completing the Story Mode…

If you need to “waste” 5-10 minutes, give it a try!

Tea Time

Tea Time

Attention Tea Drinkers!

Bad guys have stolen the world’s supply of tea and it’s up to you to stop them!

Choose from two characters - Polly, an extroverted and excitable girl, and Esther, an introverted but loyal girl - each with two powers to choose from to assist you, to try to get the tea back. If you play your cards right, they might be joined by a third, unlockable character to boot!

This is a high-score focused game, in which you try to collect as many falling tea items as possible. You’ll travel through five different stages, each with obstacles that will do their best to put a stop to you, either by keeping you from collecting items or by claiming enough of your lives to make you game over.

Aim for as high a score as possible, and submit your scores to the Leaderboards to see how you stack up against others!

Mages of Mystralia

Mages of Mystralia

Fabulous game. Spell creation is really intuitive and fun, and it lets you do a lot of exciting things, like self-multiplying random firing spells that propagate continuously until you run out of magic. The world is very vibrant and colourful and fun to run around blowing up with magic. It’s very Zelda-esque, with a lot to discover.

The puzzles are all pretty good. Camera is at fixed angles, so you’re never left missing things that you should see. They take a reasonable amount of thought without ever being frustrating. I suspect someone who is like, hardcore into puzzle gaming probably won’t be that engaged, but otherwise I found them fun to solve. There’s too many “light all the torches in X seconds” puzzles though.

I bought this game because the premise seemed neat, it looked cute, and the music was enchanting. It was on sale, and I got more than my money’s worth.

Where to start? There’s a lot of good stuff. I’m not normally a fan of puzzles, but the puzzle mechanics in Mages aren’t pushed in your face (Except in the final boss battle, in which it is done BEAUTIFULLY), and they’re flexible. Don’t have the prerequisite runes for a challenge? If they’re behavior runes, maybe you can finagle ones you already have to work for it. Things aren’t set in stone, and if you’re creative enough, and lucky enough, you can get ahead of the game.

Ope is a fun 3D platformer made by our friends in France. Overall, it’s a fun and causual experience, meaning if you just want play the story, it isn’t too challenging, but some of the secrets do provide some challenge and really compliments how large some of these levels truly are. The art direction is the first thing you’ll see, and I can definitely say that aren’t a long list of games that look like this. Overall, I found platforming to be fun and rewarding, especially as you earn more skills. Would love to see some challenge levels via DLC. There is some bad, combat isn’t very good and I would have preferred hack and slash vs the weird style of combat that looks to incorporate your platforming skills. Game doesn’t always run the the best. Occasional clipping and slowdown. Saw a big pink texture where it shouldn’t be on the final level. Nothing that really ruins the experience, and considering this is a free game that the devs have already begun to update, I can’t recommend trying this enough for 3D Platformer lovers. Game isn’t too long, and is what I’d recommend for day off in the house.
