Decide 4 God
Decide 4 God is the final entry of the Abime Series.
One hour.
The woman and her team of investigators had one hour to infiltrate a prison and cause a breakout. Her dearest hope was that, among the prisoners, there would be her brother who disappeared nearly twenty years ago.
She couldn’t shake the feeling that something sinister was waiting for her team.
One hour.
The man had been up for one hour, contemplating his past. Everything changed when breakfast was delivered and a box with clothing was slid through the opening in the door. He was told to put it on if he wanted to escape.
Something felt wrong but the prisoner obeyed. Someone was breaking him out… but why?
It is for the future when none may tread.
Key features:
-
The final chapter in the Abime Series. Decide 4 God contains the entire truth behind the events of both Head AS Code and Birth ME Code. Familiar faces return and new faces emerge to complete the unfortunate cast suffering through over a dozen endings due to the misdeeds of Empathy Systems.
-
Two sides of the story. You will be able to follow multiple characters as they live out their terrible tale. Side A and Side B have wildly different events making up opposite parts of a whole story.
-
Interactions are your choices. The companions you choose to explore with determine what you find, and what you find determines your fate. You can examine rooms alone or with others, and their involvement will change how the story unfolds.
-
Knowledge is a powerful curse. Everything you learn in your trip through Complex Twelve becomes a permanent part of your journey. The data transfers across playthroughs, but autosave means your information retention is permanent. Be careful of what you learn, as some of it may not be good for you…
-
A linear yet malleable flowchart. The game’s flowchart sorts your available paths and allows you to combine them in various ways to achieve new endings. Can you find your way out of this labyrinth of information and reach a Permanent Ending?
Note: Only 16:9 resolution ratio is fully supported.

Amazing puzzle from what I’ve played, my only complaint is that you get booted to the main menu after every level, there is no restart button, and that you have to press backspace over and over, instead of being able to hold it down to undo multiple moves

Birth ME Code
EDIT: Review updated to reflect the Feb 7th 2021 ending rewrite (version 1.2.1).
–—
Birth ME Code (BMEC) is solid second entry in the ABiMe series and sequel to Head AS Code.
Overall, an enjoyable experience, although not without its criminals cons. I would definitely recommend this game to anyone who enjoys darker, grittier plot-heavy mysteries and visual novels.
Disclaimer: From a gameplay perspective, BMEC does NOT offer fully integrated escape room puzzles like Zero Escape nor Classroom Trials / Endless Debates like Danganronpa, so if you go in expecting either of these from this indie game, prepare to be disappointed in that regard.

I rarely write reviews, but I felt compelled to write about this… experience, I think I’ll call it. I’m a huge fan of Zero Escape and having played this developer’s first game (Head AS Code), I was counting down the minutes until its release so I could have a solid excuse to ignore the giant pile of work sitting on my desk.
So was it worth it? Yes, absolutely, 100%, without a doubt, every penny.
Birth ME Code is an ontological mystery game wherein a bunch of people are dumped in a place and told they’ve gotta play a death game for the chance to MAYBE get out alive. So yes, same premise as Zero Escape. However, this genre is less about premise and more about world building, twists, and flowcharts. Flowcharts are essential because they allow the player to live the story from all perspectives. How many times do you play a game or watch a movie and think, “I wonder what would happen if that guy died instead of this lady?” I know, frequently. It was a rhetorical question.

Mystery of Camp Enigma 2: Point & Click Puzzle Adventure
This is a continuation of the game and, although short as was the 1st part, it was still fun. There is a good You Tube walkthrough to help when you’re stuck but everything is there if you look close enough. So I recommend this game.

I havent played the first one but this one is super short, easy and not recommended. Fun game if it was longer. Finished it in just a bit over an hour. Not worth money or time. Sorry…

Mystery Of Camp Enigma
This was a basic point @ click adventure. The game page says the game has hidden objects but it does not, just inventory to pick up. I am sick of hidden objects so that is a good thing for me. I knew going in that it was a two part game so was not too upset about the abrupt ending. The game played smoothly with no glitches. It was a enjoyable game and the time passed quickly. My only complaint is the auto save didn’t save right where you quit. One time I lost about a half hour play but it did only take me about 10 minutes to replay as I knew what to do already. After that I just left the game on when I left it. I will be buying #2 soon as now I NEED to know what happened there.

I love point and click puzzle games, and have had hours of fun out of some in my collection which were in a similar price range. This one is not bad but it’s really very basic, short, has a sudden lame ending, and in my opinion over priced for what it is. I would recommend waiting until it’s on sale and wouldn’t advise paying more than a few pounds.

Gordian Rooms 1: A curious heritage
I enjoy the ‘Escape the Room’ genre because (typically) they run shorter, can be played in bursts, and involve pure puzzle solving. They are more relaxing than having a complex story to keep track of and success is rewarded. For me, a good Escape game has a variety of puzzles, different environments, and uses conceptual (rather than outright) clues which make me think. Gordian Rooms met all of my criteria and my only complaint is that it is over. I would have loved to play through a few more room before seeing the credits and hope that Crimsonite Games will consider another installment!

This is a very good “Roomlike” game. The visuals are impressive (in fact they improve substantially as the game goes on- the demo is somewhat misleading in this regard!), the premise and setting are neat, and the writing can actually be quite clever.
Overall it is more challenging than the Room series; for the most part this is a very good thing as the puzzles are clever and complex. There are some “hidden clickable thing” puzzles, possibly about 50% of the interactables in the game- while I usually find these frustrating and bordering on unfair, the ones here I mostly actually like because it is possible to reason about where objects might likely be hidden. There are, however, a few cases where I thought the game did verge on being straight-up unfair (two or three puzzles to get to the ending, another two to get 100% completion out of maybe 25 total?).

Greyhat - A Digital Detective Adventure
This game ties if not usurps The Return of the Obra Dinn as my favorite game of all time. I’ve played hundreds of games on Steam and PS4, nearly all of them critical darlings, of all genres and scopes. Alphabetically in my library, it sits between Gorogoa and Guacamelee, and after this, Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts 2 is next in my queue.
While not trying to spoil anything, I recommend this game to pretty much anybody without reservation, worth every penny of its asking price - but most especially those that actively seek out games of this genre like Obra Dinn and to a lesser extent like Unheard that tickle the brain a little they way a detective or point-and-click adventure game might. Hell even if you like the Ace Attorney series of games, there’s something in here for you too. Far from perfect and I have my critiques, but to be honest my library is full of these faux hacker puzzle/detective games but none are as creative, polished, or fleshed-out or quite frankly as affecting as Greyhat. The “a-ha” moments here are the most rewarding and feel most earned here and for example chatting and “tunneling” elements are two examples of how the devs going out of their way to nail the feeling of being a clandestine keyboard warrior furiously typing messages or lines of code. Were I to say more I’d worry about revealing spoilers.

Family Mysteries 3: Criminal Mindset
Each chapter in this Artifex Mundi series features a different protagonist. The unifying theme is (tragic and at times disturbing) family secrets and a mystery to unravel. FM3: Criminal Mindset is one of the better new AM games, although it is still light on challenge. The plot is bizarre and a little spooky, and includes biomedical psychology (of the scifi-light horror genre) and conspiracies within conspiracies. That said, if you suspend your disbelief, there are some interesting HO scenes, better than (recent) average puzzles, and the protagonist is intelligent and very likeable.

A little light on hidden object scenes, although there are plenty of mini-game puzzles. Hidden object scenes and mini-game puzzles are not randomised, the solutions are the same for each playthrough.
There are a couple of tricky puzzles, what makes the game overly difficult however is the “Unmistakable” achievement which is supposed to pop after completing a hidden object scene without any mistakes. Sadly however it is bugged and actually pops when you complete a scene in less than 60 seconds without any mistakes, and due to morphing objects and items hidden behind or within other items, it makes for a very difficult achievement to earn as a result.
