Radio Violence

I’m one of the lucky ducks who got to help test the game, and it’s amazing. I love multiplayer strategy games, but its such a chore to get some friends to sit down and play them for a few hours at a time. This game satisfies the itch to play a strategy game, and plays on your nostalgia for the olden days of couch co-op, all while being bite sized and easy to consume.

All in all this is a great first release for No Sleep, and I wholeheartedly can’t wait to see more from them, and recommend this to anyone who wants to just sit down play a quick strategic game with some friends.

This is the best chess game I’ve ever played. The amount of depth to the game, while still in early access, is impressive. I think that the game will only get better with time and will have more players to compete against as the game grows in popularity.

Circle Empires Rivals

Circle Empires Rivals

Circle Empires: Rivals is the multiplayer successor to Circle Empires. At its core, Circle Empires Rivals is a 10-25 minute long real time strategy game. Despite the short game length, it has quite a lot of content and depth, and easily gets a strong recommendation given its moderate to low price point.

At the time of writing this review, the game has 7 different game modes, 26 commanders with unique army compositions and bonuses, 6 difficulty settings, 5 different map sizes, and within the various game modes (such as stop the army and monster hunt) there are also different scenario selections available. The different game modes range from very easy to very difficult, and even with 4 people working together in a co-op game certain modes like Defend the Castle mode is extremely difficult on even moderate difficulty settings, so if you like a PvE challenge, the game has this available.

Must buy for every RTS fan and people who would like to experience something unique with alot of variety.

You can play this game on easy mode or incredible challenging. There are a lot of game modes and coop makes alot of fun too. The game is also very well made no bugs and a great interface!

Got 32hours on the first one and with this game I expect getting closer to 100+ hours for only 8-12 euro you got great value.

If you want to play this coop, but don´t have someone to play it with, I am always looking for people to play it with, since it just makes even more fun in coop-mode.

Solid9 and Fatdog thank you so much for allowing me to beta test this game. Lots of patchs and hard work went into the making of this great Indie title

Its not easy. It takes a bit of trial and error to get through each scene. Dont expect to smoke through this game!

Gameplay is turn based and lots of humor along the way as this does have a storyline as well.

I have yet to test multi player but Im looking forward to it.

A solid

! (9 he he) tactical game with a light-hearted setting, pleasant graphics and firm gameplay core.

There are plenty of ways to go through the campaign missions - the achievements are sort of a built-in challenges to find another play style or experiment with the map which is nice.

I have to try out the multiplayer but the campaign alone is decent enough for people who enjoy a turn based not overly-complicated games ;)

Good game plagued by cheaters and bad balancing. I’ve been playing this game since 2017 on xbox and since 2020 on pc. I grew up on this game and hold it close to my heart but WOW has it gone downhill. Here is a list of why you should and then shouldn’t play this game.

SHOULD:

One of the most unique games of all time. The game is nothing like other fps games (cod, val, csgo) It is extremely unique with the destruction and abilities. It takes MONTHS to understand most maps and strats and you will STILL be learning new things every game. This isn’t a game of who can shoot the best (although it helps) you can win games by outsmarting the other team. Overall, a good game with tons of replay ability.

The game used to be good but has since devolved into a cash grab by developers. They have made horrible UI and graphical decisions that in some ways make the game unplayable. the “tab” menu while in game is too big, cluttered, and the colors make it harder to read. Character skins are constantly being made to blend into background walls with beige, brown, and gray being the most common colors for everything all while not introducing a way for user-sided default skins to keep the game fair. In-game, they have added way more clutter to your screen by adding many unnecessary icons. Every design change is being changed to square/rectangular and feels more and more like an ai made it rather than a real person, but that’s just the interface.

Boreal Blade

Boreal Blade

easily the best melee “fighting”/slasher style pvp game in the vein of jedi knight 2/JA (inc. with mods like MB and OJP/JKE), in my opinion, of all time. whatever genre you want to call it, it’s a coming together of classics like the Jedi Knight series, Die By The Sword, Chivary, Mordhau and to games like Absolver as well to a degree.

To me this game is a beautiful marriage of the elements that made me love “melee slashers” and it’s plagued by none of the issues of other titles. The movement, animation, attacks, attack feedback, abilities and customization are all done beautifully and you can tell what’s going on regardless of how new you are to the game. The controls take a short amount of getting used to, after that it’s incredibly intuitive. It’s an incredible amount of fun to play, shockingly easy to learn and just the right level of hard to master. I haven’t enjoyed being owned by far better opponents or enjoyed owning less skilled players this much possibly ever. It all comes down to the aesthetic, combat feedback and combat design that is IMHO unparalleled by any other game on the market. Name a game with combat that’s more intense, well-thought out and encourages the least anger towards the game than this. You can’t. These developers deserve all the support anyone can give.

Edit: I wrote that because I kept trying to post my review, but I thought maybe it was too long or something so if I would just type something short it would post then I could edit it later, but then it didn’t work, but I guess it did.

Oh my oh my oh my. The beta was already super promising. Sure I didn’t get to play much in the beta since they weren’t many games running, but it was a blast. And I was expecting to pay $20, and then it’s $4, but then on sale for 10% because why not, and, and less than one 5th of the price, and, and… Oh yeah I have to talk about the game.

Guns of Icarus Online

Guns of Icarus Online

My rating of this game speaks for itself when you look at my credentials and see that I have laid down 3000+ hours in to this title. That said though there is a lot this game has to offer if you are considering obtaining this title. Bearing this review in mind I have since become apart of the development team as an intern at the time of writing this, I speak first and foremost as a player with personal opinions about this particular title.

All that said, this game is a steampunk style game, and with it teamwork and strategy is the biggest names of the game here. Communication and coordination with crews as well as allied ships on how each team engages one another is paramount to victory or defeat. Most matches usually run for about a good 15 minutes and are packed with the anticipation of engagements, counter-engagements and various methods for obtaining each map’s goals.

Real player with 6070.2 hrs in game

TLDR at bottom.

-Do you enjoy intricate team based gameplay, where you need to trust in the skill of your allies?

-Do you enjoy relatively easy mechanics that are tough to master?

-Do you fancy yourself a leader, that likes to communicate and see his orders carried out by real people?

-Do you love a game with a close tight community, where people follow the rules and everyone is willing to teach you?

If you said yes to any of these Guns of Icarus has a place for you.

-Do you not like having non transparent game mechanics? ( engines below 50% im looking at you )

UPDATE the devs have been constantly updating the game adding multiple levels and changes that make the game far better than it was on my original review. the belt issue is pretty much completely solved allowing much easier reloading while moving and snapping to your hand for drawing your handgun or magazines. the new courses and target implementation is fantastic and the tournaments are a welcome addition as it really does help simulate some of the stresses of an actual competition. all in all im very happy with the game and all the improvements that have been implemented as well as how responsive and active the devs are to suggestion and criticisms from actual competative shooters like myself.

This game is pretty fun, but it’s not worth $30. The gun mechanics and handling are super clunky compared to Hot Dogs, Horseshoes and Hand Grenades, which offers extremely easy movement while still being able to operate every function on the firearm. The movement in this game is really hard to get used to as well, I wish they would offer different movement options like armswinger and let you remap firearm functions to the touchpads instead of buttons. The levels are great and there are a lot of them. There should be an option to mute music, it gets really annoying after a short period. I do like this game, but again, not for $30. H3VR has been $20 for like 5 years now and it’s the most realistic shooting simulator available. The only thing this game has that H3VR doesn’t are the different 3 gun courses, but with mods you can set up your own courses with targets anywhere you want, and that’s eventually going to be in the vanilla game with the ability to save your courses. If you think this game is awesome, please check out H3VR. It gets updated almost weekly and has hundreds of different firearms and explosives and attachments to customize firearms, it’s so much fun and never gets dull.
