Fight Crab

Fight Crab

Greetings!

It’s Very Good so far.

The best bits:

  • The feel. Bit of an “Armored Core” / Mechwarrior vibe to the control scheme, but with the added tactility of simulated physics

  • The UI. Smacks of Dreamcast-era arcade games

  • Customization. Pick and experiment with favorite strategies and weapons for the crabs you unlock; build their stats as you see fit

  • Co-op. As far as I can tell, your buddy can jump into any part of the campaign, without restrictions, and build up their own crab

I love this game. It’s got a sense of humor about itself; it’s interesting; there’s depth and variety…

I have not had this much fun with a game in years. I’m almost 40 now and most of the wonderment is gone for me with with gaming in general…I bought this for my kid for his birthday and grabbed it for me too, figuring I would sneak an hour in here and there with him–

Well he moved on to a different game near instantly and here I am grinding and looking for time to play this game. I like developing strategies and weird co-op tactics. It’s awesome to be excited to get home from work and actually want to play a game. I haven’t been this obsessed with a game in years. I’m not sure why but I love it.

Loco Dojo

Loco Dojo

I played this yesterday online with two other people! It was very fun!! especially the pigs games… It was a lil hard to find others to play but once ur in its cool! If u ever tried carnival games VR or in xbox this game is very similar! Lots of mini games to have fun while you laugh. Great performance. Just like other have said. it would be fun to join a game that has started, but again since u depend on getting coins u will be on disadvantage… Instructions are simple and easy to play with others. It would have been nice if it had a coop mode where several people can play in the same headset, just registering higher score to see who wins at the end. The shark game is so cool I got scared really Bad that i almost fell…

I would definitely recommend this game, especially to anyone who enjoys puzzle games or has a competitive group of friends! The game play is highly addictive with lots of “replayability” thanks to the level times being displayed on the menu - a great way to compete against friends! A global leaderboard would be an excellent addition.

Controls are simple but extremely punishing once you begin trying to speed-run the levels to set faster “lap” times. One wrong spin or jump can send you off, which makes it very tense and incredibly rewarding when you hit that end portal and beat your best time!

So far this is a really fun game. I got it not really knowing what to expect - just a ball rolling along a track. I was surprised. It’s quite addictive, the controls responsive, colours vibrant. I’ve not played all the way through so I don’t know what else is to come, but the idea is that you are very much trying to play against the clock and improve your time. It also has multi-player which I haven’t tried. It’s had me laughing out loud largely at my own stupidity but I reckon that’s a good recommendation.

Potato Party: Hash It Out

VR needs more games like this!! This has been fun so far – played mostly with online friends, but planning to bring it out at game nights in the near future (seems like it’ll be better in-person actually – there’s a spectator mode if you want to run it on a shared screen).

Hoping for more VR party games like this in the future :)

Oh this is such a fun game, an awesome party game, particularly ideal in the pandemic because you don’t really need to be in the same room to enjoy it. it’s like charades in VR with a few other added things. It’s got cute characters and ways for people to suggest ideas for the “artist”. I never get over the amazing experience of 3d drawing in VR so naturally I can spend hours on this game. I would love more brushes and colors, I want to draw Mona Lisa in that two minute time :D (there is a Mona Lisa painting hanging on one of the walls too).

Disc Ninja

Disc Ninja

Works on Valve index. Trigger to grab. it’s good. not insanely realistic. More arcade feeling, but it’s good. no settings to be seen so far. If you don’t like disk golf do not pick this up. If you do like disk golf in your spare time. This is amazing! Fun.

I find it most fun to explore the places and figure out where you are and how you will get through a course. There is obstacles that move so it’s way more engaging than a local park.

the only cons about disk throwing is you can NOT tomahawk that disk like in real life where it goes vertical then levels out flat waaay far away. But jacking around aside it feels just like launching a disk in real life. Throwing it sane like feels just like the real deal. No complaints about lag or that when you let go it feels wrong, it’s perfect. Pick it up if you into disk golf. Go do disk golfing irl before getting this, it feels the same.

Real player with 3.6 hrs in game

Game is unfinished, there’s not much content, it’s broken with invisible hitboxes, Index controls are not good, and no updates over the past year so the Devs could update the Oculus store version instead. It’s grossly overpriced for what’s on offer currently and I’m not holding my breath for improvements promised in the months ahead.

Differently Fast

Differently Fast

Many people are looking for a fun, built-for-VR racing game that’s doesn’t require a wheel. Well here we are. You move the wheelchair just like in real life, and you can grab either wheel while turning to drift around corners. The surfaces matter too(you slip more on grass, etc), so that’s why I like to almost call it a wheelchair sim, hah. It ends up being a good workout! I’m into DiRT Rally (off-road racing), and this game gives me the same feeling of adrenaline trying to beat ghost times. There are multiple ghost players on the track with you, and they end up being matched to your skill based off of your best recorded time on that track, so it always feels competitive, even if the players aren’t actually there. Since the time I tested it in Alpha the devs have been active and listening to suggestions and they’re adding more tracks.

You should get a headband things like tennis players wear - those goofy looking things - that will keep you from sweating all over your VR headset.

Buy this game right now it’s ridiculous fun. The developer is great they love interacting with the players.

CYPEST Underground

CYPEST Underground

I knew CYPEST in its early phase when it was still a freeware version and I can point out that it is a very addictive game despite not directly facing your rivals. I am very happy that the game has reached Steam, since then the game has many more maps.

It is a vertical scrolling game in which you must achieve the maximum possible score by obtaining files and folders that will increase your score. Never forget the score multipliers, they are essential!

Graphically it is a simple and fluid game in 2D, I think it is just what you need because its simplicity makes it shine.

Real player with 14.3 hrs in game

Pretty nice little game. Maybe a 8/10 personally.

It’s is simple. The Screen moves from top to bottom and you move by pressing/holding left or right, trying to dodge obstacles and gather multiple different floating items that give you extra points or point multipliers. The Difficulty can range from relatively easy to levels where you are forced to memorize the different sections because it is impossible to first-try these parts except you are a clairvoyant.

Nontheless it still gets kind of addictive and does not really make you tired of the game. Espeacially when you want to be the number one score for the level. I also played Geometry Dash before which didnt hook me in like this game did because that game really was a game of memorizing.

Muffled Warfare - Echolocation Shooter

Muffled Warfare - Echolocation Shooter

A fresh new take on the tried, tired, and true arena shooter genre.

This review is written on the initial 1.0 Early Access version.

Gameplay

The game is a multiplayer-only shooter where up to 8 players can connect together in a room. Each round typically plays up until the time limit is hit or until someone hits the score limit. Players are connected via Steam’s matchmaking services; there is currently no dedicated server available for the game.

The only available mode now is a free-for-all deathmatch, where players must kill anyone they encounter to score. The game currently as 3 maps; Mansion, Open Plains, and Sewers. The way to experience these maps is what makes this game truly different from others on the market; you have to make noise to see your surroundings. Noise can be made by shooting your gun, your projectiles hitting surfaces, moving, and right-clicking to fire a sonic bullet that “lights” up the desired location for a second using sound waves. Occasionally, lightning may strike which will light up the whole map because of its loud sound. Conversely, if no sound is being made, then everything will be pitch black and nobody can see anything.

Real player with 10.9 hrs in game

Very interesting concept for a first person shooter. In this game you see nothing but black until you or someone else makes a noise, shoots a gun, or you shoot your sonar gun which makes a bubble to show you the surroundings.

Pros:

game is a lot of fun, easy to get into matches, shows a lot of potential for more modes and game types.

cons:

game doesn’t have a lot of people playing so you spend a lot of time playing bots. Speaking of bots they are jerks and I don’t like that they teabag so much its kind of toxic. price could be 5.99 since its only 4 levels and not a lot of people playing.
