The questions are okay, although very difficult. The achievements are ludicrous. ‘Get to the top 10 for all players’, or multiplayer victories with a dead playerbase. Nope.

So I picked up this game because I was bored of the games my friend and I usually play every day. It’s not the most polished game, as there are many spelling/grammar errors, but we had fun for 30 or so minutes. My biggest complaint is the difficulty of questions and the limited category choice. Maybe the developer(s) plan(s) to add more categories in the future, that would be nice. If $3 isn’t much to you, I guess it’s worth it for maybe an hour or two maximum of entertainment with a friend.

Here’s the deal. This isn’t the prettiest game you’ll ever play. There’s no gorgeous vistas to take in as you sail one of a bajillion boats along and watch DVD movies on an In-Boat entertainment system. It’s not loaded with eye-candy fluff.

It is an incredibly good tool to TEACH YOU HOW SAILING WORKS. How to actually sail a boat, how to handle a boat, how to hold a boat so you move along at 11.9 knots instead of 11.7 knots. How to “trick the wind” to let you work on the weak side of irons. How to make a boat pass around 5 buoys in the shortest time in a “never seen it before and never see it again” dynamic situation…and then getting that little endorphin dump to hear your own name called out as the winner of yesterday’s daily race.

It’s Quiz Time

It’s Quiz Time

If you enjoy playing a game of trivia with friends or family and you all have a smartphone at hand then you really can’t go wrong with It’s Quiz Time… In fact, it’s really quite a good game! The overall visual look of it is great and it has this really pleasing visual presentation that makes it feel like an actual gameshow of sorts. There is also the AI host who uses some form of text to speech to engage players and will continually throw shade at your oldest player; it’s just all done really well within the confines and limitations you would expect for a party game like this! There are plenty of different segments that are used throughout the rounds and they really do vary up the gameplay and you will have your favourite segments. In all honesty there isn’t really a quiz game like this on Steam (to my knowledge) and to be honest I feel like this game gets a much harsher reception than it deserves… Admittedly sometimes the questions can be a little bit generic or outright obscure and the game will often take question themes and run with them for example fastest animal between said animals, or tallest etc. But overall this is a fun game to play with friends and family in a living room setting (even the older people will get involved)! I mean, you need to find some games to make a Steam Link worth while!

A great addition to the line-up of party games to be brought out when having family & friends over. Similar to the Jackbox games, this is more Quiz focused with a handy feature to localise questions around a specific global region in the settings. Whilst the game truly shines playing locally in the same room with others, there are modes for solo play and streaming (with a handy option to increase answering times to better account for stream delay).

There are customisable playlists where round types can be added or removed depending on your preference; these can be curated and saved to be fired up depending on who you’re playing with. The AI host, Salli, adds a personalised touch as she reads names aloud and remembers players between gameplay sessions. Stat tracking is also available on the android/iOS apps.

Pixel: ru²

Pixel: ru²

Pixel: ru² is one of those addictive skill puzzles, kind of reminiscent of Super Hexagon, but it requires thinking for the key combos. Also, it appears that dying in-game often changes the physics of the key-mapping, like suddenly going right is the former down key. The change-ups help allay rote muscle memory, and you seem to frequently get the feeling of learning a new skill, even when replaying. The sound effects are pleasing. Definitely not one of those +1 backlog games for me.

I bought the two pack of this Puzzle/Platformer/Shooter because I saw the emoticons. :D They are prohibitively expensive in the market, so I’m hoping to drop the :blackpix: for some Steam Profile art. The cards are fantastic! When I pulled up the background images, they look pretty cool too. But, I will be putting a lot of playtime into this, like with Lyne, as it does have achievies and a workshop, so there is nothing to lose here but hours of my life on another addictive game. :D

Pixel: ru² is the very definition of “Just one more try.” As a long-time gamer, very few games have made me sit on the edge of my seat as I’ve attempted to beat a highscore or outrun an unbeatable enemy as it barrels down on me. This isn’t a casual puzzle game. This is a puzzle game that combines heart-pounding platforming action with mindbending problem solving, played to an intense sountrack. Look past your first impressions because this is an indie title with immense depth and replayability.

3D Math - Ultra

3D Math - Ultra

Better than expected and more enjoyable after longer play. I’ll write what I personally liked about it and compare it to other games. Since there seems to be no other game like this on Steam, I’ll compare it to something like Lumosity and similar games.

The game would have been worth a higher price. It makes the math, logic, and other training games more interesting than normal. Training arithmetic probably doesn’t sound like a game, but it’s kind of nice because you start to feel it’s a challenge and have a motivation to out do yourself. Plus, unlike other games, the skill is transferable outside of the game.

This is something I appreciate very much. There aren’t many enjoyable math programs created by people that want to improve a learner’s comprehension of mathematics. I really enjoy the brain training section as it has some exercises I like, such as: N-back(memory), grid(pattern recognition), and matches. Thank you for creating this program!

Updated review time!

So a shit ton changed after my review. The game is now better than ever! Now you can get hours of gameplay out of this! Its amazing!

Every update brings something new to the table, like colonies, starlink, Mars and more! The dev is always wanting to improve the game and fix bugs and thats amazing. This game does not have a lot of bugs, honestly its rare to run into one.

People usually bash Unity games because they are made by Devs who dont know what they are doing. But this is a prime example that Unity games can be amazing if they are in the right hands!

I really want to like this game, but the core loop of building the reliability up on rockets for them to still feel like a 1 in 10 chance to explode when at 99% reliability isn’t fun. I wish the game had a prototyping stage where you sink time and money to get a slow increase in reliability so that when a rocket blows up, it feels like either I’m at fault for shorting on development time or the result of various factors interacting in unforeseen ways.

Another thing that feels extremely lacking in this game is the contracts system. Right now it’s just fiddle with the slider to underbid by the lowest amount possible, which just means you have to have the screen open the entire time, waiting for the ai to make its bids. If the developer really wants to keep the slider they should implement a reputation system or something of the sort. That way at the beginning you’re being forced to bid much lower than the other established launch providers and there’s more risk in pushing a rocket out of development early. Then, as you progress along in the game, and build your reputation, you’d be able to gain contracts while bidding slightly higher than the ai due to your established name and low frequency of sudden unplanned disassembly in mid flight.

Security Hole

Security Hole

This fucking game. This MOTHERFUCKING GAME. Now this was a remarkable puzzle game. It was easily the most frustrating puzzle game I’ve ever had the pleasure of playing, and I absolutely loved it.

WHAT IT DO :

You have a collection of base shapes, such as cubes or dodecahedrons, which form various larger 3D structures. The object is to rotate this 3D structure such that it can fit into a hole which it is steadily, almost imperceptibly moving towards. Think of it like shining a light at the ground so that your shape makes a certain shadow, and rotating it so that the shadow matches the pattern given. Except there’s a time limit. Or you only have a certain amount of rotation you can perform before it locks up. Or sometimes both of these things. And also each level has multiple phases and they keep adding more and more of the base shape to your object, changing the shadow it can make. Also everything is randomized so you’ll never get the same setup twice. Oh and the boss-mode fights have a second timer you have to beat across all phases, and everything is wireframe and terrible. And also there is a

! secret world, and a secret level to the secret world, and secret mandatory bonus rounds on several of the final puzzles, because fuck you apparently.

Real player with 19.6 hrs in game

Think of this as a kid’s set of fitting blocks, on steroids. Don’t get me wrong, this game is HARD and will test your geometrical/tridimensional perception to the limit.

Don’t be fooled by the game’s first trailer, as it is very misleading. The second trailer is more accurate to what you get.

I won’t lie to you, the game concept is all about testing your geometrical/spatial ability by passing 3D objects through a hole (no, there’s nothing dirty in that sentence). There is some variation to that theme, though. Sometimes you have to do it within a time limit. Sometimes you have to move the object as little as possible but can take as much time as you want. There’s also a mode that shows a blank object with no shadows or other indications of perspective and you’ll have to find the matching object from a set of 4 options. On top of that, each object is composed of smaller units, and these units vary through the game–you start with cubes, then you see dodecahedrons and other units, for a total of 6 different units which will fry your brain while you get used to each of them.
