Beat Me!

Beat Me!

Fast-paced SS Bros.-style party game stylised as a puppet show. Level design is amazing with highly interactive environments. Extremely replayable due to level variable seeding. Intense fun for 1-6p.

This game has had the family gathered around shouting at the TV every night for the last several weeks now. My young fella’s favourite game (even though I keep beating him - NO MERCY!).

In my opinion the best game to play with my friends.

I would still have some suggestions after playing it a few times:

Maybe the golem is a little too fast, and the wizard is much too powerful, to have fun we stopped using them.

We also would have liked a random character selection mode, and why not a mode with a random character in each round?

Those are the “important” points I wanted to give you as a feedback, keep on going, we hope for new maps and new characters as well of course.

Keep it up, great game!

Kawaii Deathu Desu

Kawaii Deathu Desu

Kawaii Deathu Desu is basically the sum of its parts. It is about as straight foward as a game can get. If there is an enemy to the left, attack left. If there is an enemy to the right, attack right. It really is as simple as that. There has been a lot of comparisons to One Finger Death Punch and I can understand where people are coming from but there is one crucial difference: One Finger Death Punch (OFDP) insists that you don’t button mash. You won’t directly lose if you do, but you will be made vulnerable, and will likely die as a result. It will also damage your score at the end of the level. Kawaii Death Desu does not have such scruples. For this game you will have to break out the old crack hands and go to town as you mash left and right slaughtering thousands before you.

I was expecting something that required a bit of reaction and thinking, like One Finger Death Punch, but instead I found this game to be nothing but mashing. You can beat anything by just killing your fingers.

Then I figured “if it’s so mindless, I might as well put up a macro recording to play the game for me.” So I did. That was a lot more interesting. I actually got quite a kick out of figuring out some kinks that a macro recorder has.

So after one day and one night just letting this fancy screensaver play itself, I got every character unlocked and maxed, and I have zero interest in doing anything with them because the game has no challenge in it. If you have working fingers, you’ll beat it. This isn’t the same as simple being fun, One Finger Death Punch was simple and that was a lot of fun because it bothered to require at least some kind of brain chemistry and had variation. A small child might see the amusement in this thing on a cellphone, that’s who I’d recommend it to.

Cake Bash

Cake Bash

I love this game - it’s cute and fun! You choose between different cakes and their “flavors” and either play by yourself locally, local couch with other people, or online against others in a series of party games to become the “tastiest.” The cakes are so cute and make adorable noises, and it’s hilarious to watch them run and throw punches.

To make things easier, if you want to know how to unlock a certain “flavor,” you can look it up in the “Collection” section of the main menu screen, and it will tell you what requirements you need to make in order to unlock them. No more looking up walkthrough’s on YouTube!

This is absolutely my favorite local multiplayer PC title. It has good controller support for multiple types of controllers at the same time, great games for several styles of competition, cute characters, and smooth easy-to-learn but challenging enough to master gameplay that will make it so your whole family can play, and probably each player will have a few “challenges” they are best in. It’s both cute and funny and a bit brutal, but even as a vegan I can’t feel too bad for desserts knocking each other around. This is a wonderful release that we have been looking forward to for 2+ PAX events and it has totally delivered.

This game needs more attention.

It’s the most Melee-like platform fighter out at the moment in a genre overran by developers too afraid to commit to the formula that made the genre so big competitively.

Most developers try to differentiate their games with weird, unsatisfying, shallow mechanics that end up souring the experience, but this game from my short time playing is more set on pure and solid gamefeel and exploring the genre from it’s roots, with unique movesets instead of directly ripping or tweaking already existing characters.

Very early in development, so it’s lacking in a lot of departments. That said, the core gameplay is tight and with some time most of the problems will be fixed and most missing features will be implemented. Also, the dev seems pretty engaged with the community and is very active, at least on discord, while posting constant updates about the development timeline. Overall, at it’s current state it’s a very ‘rough’ game with a good core that only shows signs of improving.

Hindsight review:

Hear me out. Don’t let my hours fool you. Despite having spent 80 hours pre-launch as a backer tester, I’ve spent most of my time in the Training Arena to study the game and figure out how I could improve it if the promised mod support does come through. I admit I was a little too hyped, and I let bias take over seeing how far they had come with my own eyes. I let the game settle now. Well, honestly I never felt comfortable recommending this to others because I knew there was some serious flaws, and the game needs some serious polish. I really had fun playing through the game, but some overall design decisions aren’t going to change, which ruin my overall impression.

If literally any other game studio developed this game, it might be fun. Welcome to the poochie the dog of videogames, RCRU.

It’s a terrible game, and baffling design choices and EXTREMELY poor patch management have squandered what could have been otherwise a very, very good game. For the record, Patch 13 is coming out soon, solving problems such as the flawed police system, and some big bugs, which is great.

So why am I voting this game down?

Go read any other review of this game, and you’ll hear the same thing, “Good, but doesnt live up to its potential. Also bugged as the dickens. Very Unbalanced. Pointless RPG mechanics. Lame genuinely cringe inducing meta humor, and pointless references that show the devs cant grow up, and move away from the 90’s.”

Sacrifice Your Friends

Sacrifice Your Friends

Basically, this is the mechanics of overcooked mixed with the gameplay ideas of Gang Beasts. It super fun to dash around use and throw the weapons, some weapons are a little more useful than others, but they are all counterable. It controls well. A bunch of cool little stuff to unlock, like hats and characters, a bunch of different powerful gods to play, all with different gameplay styles. A whole bunch of beautifully designed maps/artwork, and a whole bunch of other stuff to explore. A great and simple versus game that is definitely worth picking up.

This is an amazingly fun item-arena brawler. The closest games I would compare it to are the Bomberman series and Killer Queen Black.

Your character avatar has no impact on your move set, which consists of punching, grabbing/activating an item, and throwing an item. Your associated Ancient One cult (Cthulhu, Dagon, and Nyarlathotep right now) does have a slightly altered move set, which are fitting for the time-limited avatar transformations (similar to a Smash Bros. Smash Ball). The game moves at such a frantic, hilariously fast and fun pace that it doesn’t need more than this.

Grabity

Grabity

Having spent over 100 hours beta testing and playing this great game, I think its time to review!

This game appeals to the chaotic brawlers out there, as well as those who love physics in their games. You feel like a robotic god when crushing and sniping your friends and the AI with abunch of wooden cubes!

Pros:

-Really enjoyable phyics and player movement.

-Huge amount of match customization, from the stages, game modes, and crate types, to the more advanced physics and settings that effect how to go about playing.

Real player with 300.3 hrs in game

Grabity is a casual game to pickup but has a lot of depth to the mechanics underneath it as do many great brawlers. Having poured many hours into the game myself, many of them during the beta testing phase, I can say the developers are committed to making this game the best it can possibly be for the community. They have been listening and working with the community and their feedback to make what is honestly one of the best brawlers I have played in quite a while.

There are of course pros and cons to every story so here is my short list:

Pocket Bravery

Pocket Bravery

Pocket Bravery is inspired by classics from the 90s, such as Street Fighter, Fatal Fury and The King of Fighters. And its SD aesthetic had an influence on games like Pocket Fighter and other fighting games from Neo Geo Pocket Color.

But make no mistake, Pocket Bravery was created to be a new and unique fighting game, with original characters, vibrant colors and a combat system that will impress you, since the game was designed with the focus on high level players. Even so, it has features that will teach beginning players how to develop and evolve in the game.

The game uses the digital pad and four buttons, two for punches and two for kicks. You can execute the traditional commands from the fighting games using the directional pad plus the button to make special moves, super specials or even the final attack. Each character has an element that represents his strength, can be physical or supernatural. You can accumulate up to 2 attacks on the elemental bar. Through this system, it is possible to execute elemental attacks that have different characteristics from the others and bring new offensive or defensive possibilities for the player.

Street Fighter® IV

Street Fighter® IV

i do not recommend this game.

first of all i have to say that street fighter IV is probably the best fighting game you can play , i have

in my library few more fighting games such as:

injustice gods amond us

the king of fighters xiii

mortal kombat kollection

mortal kombat komplete edition

and street fighter iv got the best gameplay and fun.

however (and thats a big however) , i do not recomend to buy this game because of capcom money sucking

strategy.

first they release this game ,half year later they release an enhanced game which contain few more characters

Oh nostalgia. That was the first street fighter I ever played. I remember that I watched my cousins play without any interest and then one day I picked the arcade stick… Oh boy what a satisfaction was to kick ass and taunt with Bison. I like the character selection music and the narrator voice is (in my opinion) much better. I liked how you had to unlock characters without freaking DLC garbage, how you had to deal with your character weaknesses (cuz unbalance suff OP SAGAT I HATE YOU) overcome it and win. Liked how pist was your opponent when you beat it with Dan (which was pure and utter shait). Then AE and Ultra Came along and instead of updating the game without the new characters and let everybody play the same game (like SFV is doing) they forced us to buy the game again AE and then again with Ultra. I have Ultra on Xbox360 and on PC too. Left my Bison at B+ #320.
