Me Vs You

Me Vs You

Me Vs You is a competitive 3D Action game that features unique Arenas. Each Arena requires a different skillset to excel. Compete online against others or play the game in single-player mode to improve and beat your own high score. Choose either between a prebuilt challenge or face a new one via Procedural Level Generation or Random configurations.

Arenas

Get to the Goal as fast as possible.⠀

Warning: The path won’t be a straight line.

Avoid damage as best as possible while keeping an eye on the actual goal.

No worries: This time, you won’t wipe your MMO Raid.

Use your bow to move the ball to the designated area while collecting some bonus zones. It’s easy, right?!

No worries: Balls are provided.

Typical simple 1vs1 gunfight. Your opponent isn’t immediately visible and the round starts after a small random delay.

Warning: You can’t blame the lag if you lose.

Long-distance hits while predicting the arrow trajectory are the key to get a good score.

Do you think you are actually good at hitting targets?

Spoiler: You probably aren’t.

I would definitely recommend this game, especially to anyone who enjoys puzzle games or has a competitive group of friends! The game play is highly addictive with lots of “replayability” thanks to the level times being displayed on the menu - a great way to compete against friends! A global leaderboard would be an excellent addition.

Controls are simple but extremely punishing once you begin trying to speed-run the levels to set faster “lap” times. One wrong spin or jump can send you off, which makes it very tense and incredibly rewarding when you hit that end portal and beat your best time!

So far this is a really fun game. I got it not really knowing what to expect - just a ball rolling along a track. I was surprised. It’s quite addictive, the controls responsive, colours vibrant. I’ve not played all the way through so I don’t know what else is to come, but the idea is that you are very much trying to play against the clock and improve your time. It also has multi-player which I haven’t tried. It’s had me laughing out loud largely at my own stupidity but I reckon that’s a good recommendation.

Towards the Sky

Towards the Sky

okay so you probably already have some of these in mind.

It’s a great base.. it could just do with some. upgrades so to say.

What I’d like to see added as a player:

Skill tree - this will add more goals to the game rather than just get to the top, also get all the skills.

boost mechanic - so kinda like in rocket league.. you get a certain amount of boost and you can use it as like a jetpack, this would be a good substitute for the double jump because it would make gameplay way smoother imo.

Make it really difficult: maybe a platform you cannot stand on or you get teleported back to the start ( or like a checkpoint for in the future )

Inertia

Inertia

I’m enjoying this game! Like some other reviewers, I found the controls slightly off at first, but then I figured out what I was doing wrong. Accordingly, I want to offer a few simple tips that should be helpful for new and inexperienced players:

-Sprinting vs walking: In the Options menu, under “Input,” make sure “Use sprint input” is checked. This gives you much more control over your momentum, as you can either walk or hold SHIFT to sprint. If that option is not checked, I think you are always sprinting. SHIFT/sprint also affects your ability to make movement corrections while in the air.

Real player with 8.8 hrs in game

The best I can say about this game is that it is fine. The movement feels slow and clumsy but honestly not all that bad. The mechanics range from very cool (the black-orange platforms that break) to alright (the wall running, feels cool but VERY glitchy) to just unneeded (zipwires, just unnecessary, taking control away from the player for 5-10 seconds.)

The double jump is weird, where the higher your initial upwards momentum is when using the jump, the higher the DJ will go. Eg double tapping space will send you flying but trying to DJ after running off a ledge will make you go nowhere. Some of the platforms that move up and down have weird physics too, but it makes somewhat more sense there.

Extricate

Extricate

Extricate is an IL (individual level) speedrun game where the main mechanic is bunny hopping. Now let me preface this and say I am completely new to bunny hopping, i have never played any counter strike game or anything like that - but Extricate does not punish me for that. In fact, the game helped me pick it up pretty quickly and let’s me keep seeing my progress through getting faster and faster times on various levels. There is an in game replay system which lets you see top players strats and learn them yourself. I’m really impressed with the level design and the various skips and strats that the devs actually intended for you to use to get great times. This game is a MUST for anyone who likes IL games, speedruns, bunny hopping and, honestly even just FPS movement.

DISCLAIMER: Key received early in development for playtesting.

Extricate is a fantastic game for every person who enjoys bunnyhopping, speedrunning, first person platforming or competing against your friends to see who is the fastest.

With simple movement that’s easy to learn but hard to master, it stands as a great contender for best first person platformer in my own opinion.

Great speed and responsive controls in a polished package, the developers has managed to create this fantastic product in a truly impressive amount of time and they are not stopping their improvements and additions.

Impulsion

Impulsion

Impulsion is an odd game, that occupies quite the peculiar niche in terms of gaming.

The first thing that is important to note before considering picking up Impulsion is that the game is NOT a puzzle game, despite it’s aesthetic and game mechanics relating very similar to those of Portal and Antichamber, Impulsion functions more as a challenging first person shooter experience, in no way does this game involve solving puzzles.

The second thing, Impulsion is crafted by hand, inside out, to be speedran. Currently, the game suffers from a lack of content (only 25 levels and an extremely brief, confusing, story). Realistically, the only replay value in the game comes with speedrunning. Personally, as a veteran first person shooter speedrunner, I was able to complete the game in one and a half hours, from startup to “the end” screen. A player as skilled as me could completly refund the game, having experienced the full game, because there are no secrets or collectables of any sort. Because of this, I would only currently recommend this game as a speedrunning game.

I already reviewed the game but I figured I redo it.

Should you get this game? Yes. Is it fun? Yes. Does it have flaws? Yes.

What works:

  • Combining fast-paced platforming with fast-paced aiming was brilliant. The best parts of my two favorite genres.

  • The forcefield gun is really innovative and fresh, like portal, it’s one of those mechanics where, when you play the game, you wonder why nobody had ever thought of it until now

  • You control the pacing, if you want to rush in, die, and rush in again, you can. If you want to take it slow and try to complete it more methodically, you can.

ICEBOX: Speedgunner

ICEBOX: Speedgunner

**Full Disclosure: I have been bug testing and providing feedack on Icebox for quite a while. I was not payed for this, I did so because I really enjoyed the game and wanted to put in my 2 cents. The review below is of my own personal opinion.

This, at times claustrophobic feeling, frantic and addicting first person shooter brings some of the sensibilities from 90’s FPS’s forward and combines them with a stopwatch and bragings rights. Icebox: Speedgunner gives you a tight campaign experince and then leaves you to crawl, to cheat, to cut corners, to make everyshot count, to fight your way up the leaderboard a show why your beater then everyone else.

Real player with 29.5 hrs in game

Icebox is a frantic runner game that feels how many attempts at a decent Tron game should have. The story mode is decent and teaches you what you need to know. The voice acting is decent, and un my opinion above par for an indie title. Where this game shines is in it’s online pay. Monthly and daily challenges, procedural levels that can be hard set with ‘seeds’ so you can test your metal against your mates. I can’t wait to see a real community grow around this game. For $10, it’s a bargain. Get on it.
