Jumpala
Ive played a lot of jumpala. From the early builds to the demos and finally release. I can say this game has a lot of replay value with a good amount of variety in the gameplay and playing style no 2 matches are going to be the same. Not to mention the secrets you can find. This game has a community that is very welcoming and encouraging making me very excited to see the future of the game.

Just got done playing this game with a friend online for several hours. It’s late and we should go to bed, but we couldn’t put the controllers down. The game is addicting and a ton of fun to play. We laughed with each other and had a great time. I highly recommend this game!

PomboTroll
PomboTroll is a “joke” game with MS paint tier hand drawn “art”. Control a “pigeon” and puke on/avoid other birds in 2D side scrolling arcade style gameplay.
The quality is deplorably low, resolution and controls are locked and can’t be changed. Gameplay is a sloppy mess, literally and figuratively. The developer made this bundletrash in the hopes it might get a few clicks from the funny concept, but there’s nothing of value here for gamers, or anyone else for that matter.

If you consider everything that we have on steam, pombotroll is on average.
Good work steam.

Hero Team
Hero Team is a PVP 2D shooter with online and couch multiplayer, and modes inspired by the greatest classic shooters. It’s the spiritual sequel to the 2011 game Stick ‘Em Up 2, but with online play, super-tight controls, the speed cranked up to 11, and an abundance of maps, weapons, and upgrades.
Later this year Hero Team will be launching in Early Access.
What will be in the Early Access version?
-
online multiplayer with dedicated servers
-
local couch multiplayer for 2-4 players (with the option to play online together)
-
actual artwork by real-life artists instead of the basic-ass prototype art you see above
-
multiplayer modes inspired by the greatest multiplayer shooters, including:
-
bomb defusal
-
area control
-
team deathmatch
-
battle royale
-
-
a robust upgrade system with weapons and abilities that can be assembled in a multitude of combinations with meaningful game-changing effects
-
absolutely no pay-to-win ever: all upgrades are earned exclusively in-game
-
numerous characters which are customizable with free and premium paid cosmetic options
-
practice maps that are speedrunnable solo or co-op
-
all the quality of life features you’d expect like party support, private lobbies, and Discord integration (sorry that stuff isn’t ready for the Steam Game Festival build)
What’s coming after Early Access?
Regular drops of new maps, modes, characters, and upgrades to keep things minty fresh.
What’s the setting/lore?
It’s the mid-2040s, and these days the main threat in the world is IN Equity Inc. They started as a venture capital firm investing in exotic technology like human genome editing and hyperintelligence augmentation. When they got bored of the umpteenth ethics investigation against them, they went full supervillain and declared their offshore research base to be a sovereign “corporate state” under the ~benevolent~ leadership of the Board of Directors. Hero Team was formed as an elite international force to keep them in check, and are first on the scene whenever IN Equity are attempting to steal a nuclear reactor or executing a hostile takeover of a small nation.

Soldat 2
It’s a good, fun game, but still lacks a fair bit of refinement.
Hit registration is absolutely horrendous at the moment. You throw a knife at someone, you can see it hits the mark, because it then stops and drops to the floor, but no damage is done.
Similar thing with sniper rifles. You see the bullet pass through the opponent and it does zero damage.
Grenades. Sometimes you hit a person with all 3 grenades and they still don’t die, but they throw just one back at you and poof, you’re dead.
Player balancing system is just silly. When you join a server with an even number of players, you become the poor soul that is going to be tossed back and forth between teams whenever the team you’re in exceeds the other team’s score by 2 (flag caps or bases occupied). You might get thrown into the opposing team just as they’re about to lose. Lovely.

I wouldn’t recommend buying this, even if it’s for nostalgia purposes.
The game is literally dead, whenever I attempt to play there’s noone online on any servers - I’ll join a game and play with bots for a while and occasionally 1 or 2 people may join but then leave after 10-15 minutes.
There’s no Oceanic community, that’s for sure. The only community is a few Russians and Germans that sometimes populate their server, but other than that - it’s essentially dead.
There’s also no effort to boost the player population, such as creating communities for specific regions, simple things such as in the Soldat 2 Discord you can create a rank specifically for their region so people can tag @Oceania or @Australia “let’s populate a server” - there’s none of that or anything close.

CD-RUN
I was gifted this game by the dev after we play-tested it as co-workers. Another made the chiptune OST and they both deserve praise for the work.
CD-Run is a side scrolling race against your friends and the obstacles the stage throws at you, with multiple mode changes as it goes on. Fast Forward, Repeat, Pause etc.. all shuffle to mix up what’s happening and make you pay attention all the time. When you add in other players all trying to survive as well, it’s total chaos, and some of the best laughs I’ve had with my friends were because of this game.

This is an endless side-scrolling platformer game where you play as a running and jumping square. Think SMB games in multiplayer mode, but you have to run in one direction, and you can’t pick up your friends to toss them off the edges. It’s a fantastic way to burn some time with friends, and simple enough to put down after a couple of runs if needed, though it’s hard to put down when feelings of aggressive competitiveness continually builds. What to expect when playing with friends: so.much.laughter, shenanigans, some comraderie (if you’re playing distance mode), countless expletives, and name-calling.
