Why Neon Lights Again?
Why Neon Lights Again? is a nostalgic cyberpunk shooting gallery to play with a friend or on your own. Shoot bad guys and level bosses with different weapons, fly on cars, see how story is revealed in a comic book style
In the distant future citizens of Asgard witness strange series of events. Something is in the air and it’s not just neon lights and rain (it often rains here actually). Frey(r) finds himself in an unknown street. It’s raining (of course!) but what is more troubling is a group of street gangs pointing guns at Frey!
What is going to happen? Would this involve flying cars? For Sure!
Key features:
-
retro/nostalgic cuberpunk feel and a lot of easter eggs, throwback to 80-90’s (would be interesting to play with friend or family)
-
hot seat mode: play with a friend like back in the days, combine various weapons and skills, compete who gets the best high score
-
interesting story mode (with plot shown in comic book style) and fun survival mode (get the highest score!)

The Legend of Bean
The Legend of Bean is a rather good RPG/adventure game on the RPGMaker format.
Not quite innovative, especially the storyline, but with a fair gameplay. At no point I felt lost like not knowing where to head to.
I appreciate that after the main quest is completed you can still travel through the whole game world in order to defeat other bosses and eventually get a 100% achievements.
I don’t care if the grammar isn’t perfect, I’m not expecting the same language level as in a book. Dialogues are perfectly understandable and that’s enough for that kind of games.

The Legend of Bean is a nice, short and funny little RPG-Maker game.
While the English tranlation is poor, it’s still understandable and quite funny. The game comes at a cheap price and is worth what it’s asking for.
You play with a group of three people, and the battle system is quite uniqe. It’s fast paced, so you can do the battles really quickly. It took me about 9 hours to finish the game. After clearing the main story, you can still keep on playing, fighting some newly spawned bosses, some of them a little challenging. The good thing is, you don’t need to grind a lot, there is a merchant that sells big bags of experience!

Accel Magician Mimi
If you look at the rest of the developer’s games, it appears they either used a kit and reskinned it, or made one game and reskinned it, multiple times. Keep this and the fact I’m basing my recommendation on the sale price I obtained it at (59 cents).
Game only consists of 3 stages and bosses, which can easily be completed in under an hour. However, there is 2 player battle mode and co-op, adding to the replayability. Controls are responsive. No optimization issues noted. Difficulty progression is smooth and different enemies have varied enough attack patterns to keep the game interesting.

Astrodogs
TL;DR : Never played a StarFox game, but this goofy, chill little dog game makes me want to.
What is this funny little dog shooty game?
Astrodogs is a 3D, forward moving, on-rails shooter with enough charm to change your attitude for the entire day. The game revolves around 8 or so small stages with unique aesthetics, designs, music, enemies and bosses. (My personal favourites are Barkstille and Barkadia.)
I’ve never played something like this before, is it difficult?
At first, yes. But if you keep at it, you’ll learn the levels, you’ll learn the 5 techniques you need to know (4 different “special” attacks and a bullet-time mechanic). The bosses all have a gimmick to them which at first, is SUPER annoying, because you’ll be tanking damage and dealing none, but you’ll figure it out and feel like even Einstein is no match for your superior intellect.

As a die hard fan of Star-Fox. There hasnt been any games to come out that capture the on rails space shooting magic. This game does! I love the levels, music, controls and overall humour. A real treat!
