LIBERATED
This review contains major spoilers. Be warned and proceed at your discretion.
LIBERATED is one of the games that you’re not meant to have fun with. It tells a dark story about dystopian future, where the government controls every aspect of human lives. Don’t purchase or gain enough via wire? Don’t post enough photos on social media? You’re under suspicion. Maybe you post an online comment doubting the current government? You’re asking to be arrested, discredited, pretty much erased.
There’s a group of people in that world. They call themselves The Liberated. Throughout the game they hunt for the proof that the government is corrupt, and ultimately, that it was behind the big terrorist attack on the school, which they needed to justify building this strict regime, where privacy is a crime.

A digital interactive comic book set in a noir cyberpunk world of complete government control, eerily reminiscent and very close to the course our own blue ball of yarn is spinning into at the moment.
What excites about Liberated is the way it’s presented. Through a slick, black and white comic book, complete with textured panels, sounds of flipped pages and reflections. You even have the ability to tilt the view around the panels a bit. It’s a complete experience of reading a comic book. I can almost smell the paper. The art is wonderful (brings to mind Frank Miller’s Sin City, even a hint of Torpedo and some other noir comics) and the way the panels are framed really glues your eyes to a single panel, letting you linger on it as long as you want.

Gaslamp Cases: The deadly Machine
Gaslamp Cases: The Deadly Machine:
The year is 1882 and you are one of the most reputable detectives in London. You and your partner have been sent to a location where suspicious activity has been noticed. As you both look for clues, the building you find yourselves in explodes with extreme ferocity. You somehow manage to find your way out of the rubble, but there is no sign of your partner and his body is never recovered. This event takes a massive toll on the people of London, who now question the efficacy of the police department. Soon after, having been blamed for the death of your partner, you are demoted, although still part of the police force. You are assigned a new partner who has, shall we say, unethical methods of solving crimes. Your first investigation is to find the dog of one of the most prominent people in London. But then you find yourself on the trail of a criminal who wants to blow London to pieces, in Gaslamp Cases: The Deadly Machine.

Another fun e-funsoft match 3 game! Nothing spectacular and the story is okay at best, but it's all the standard stuff with better graphics.

## XIII
★☆☆☆☆ Terrible!
### Action
The 2020 remake of XIII is a cheap, lazy, broken cash-in on a once fascinating name.
It really makes me feel bad to have to say that because I had high hopes for this. But it's true! In the same year that 2K gave us an amazing remake for the original Mafia, XIII stands in its own class of awfulness. That anyone could release a game in this state and try to charge 40 Euro for it, let alone goat people into pre-ordering it, is appalling.
At first, I thought the 'very negative' review status on Steam was a little overboard. I had followed the discussion boards before release and boy, some people did not like the style change. Having played this for an hour and then gone back to the original, I can say with a certainty that I should have listened to those people more. Not only have the developers ripped all of the charm from the original game, but they have also failed to replace it with anything of substantial worth. I think this is the most apparent in the half-a$$ed attempts to tie some of this remake's style into the original's. In the original, was frequent and eventually blended into the background. Here it's reserved for very few things. It's noticeable that its inclusion feels inconsistent at best.

Graphics aside, what the remake was INTENDED to be was the original game's campaign and levels more or less faithfully recreated (with the original cel-shading replaced by more of a Fortnite-like cartoony art-style), but with new, more "modern" Call of Duty-inspired gameplay, including aim-down-sights, a limited inventory, a simplified health/armor system, and partial regenerating health. Rather similar to what happened with F.E.A.R. 2/F,E,A,R, 3, Bioshock Infinite, Aliens Colonial Marines, etc.

## Kismet Tapestry
spoilers, not that it'll mean much
i can confidently say that whatever you expect from this game- you wont get. it opens with 2 minutes of footage of an expedition in the arctic accompanied with what i would describe as music for people who like the sound of nails on a chalkboard (which certainly spices up the footage, if a bit loud). after this we cut to some of the dryest turnbased rpg gameplay ive ever experienced with 2.5D controls so bad it made my head hurt. why make a game 2.5D with grid movement? why only slimes? it took me 5 minutes to figure out the controls.

Okay, so…
Fuck the other two games - flesh out Carnage Cross as much as humanely possible. This is the closest the Twisted Metal fan-base will ever get to a spiritual successor since Sony decided to elbow-drop Twisted Metal for good. Wait until at least 1.0 to keep working on Sanitize or Starglades.
I know some of the suggestions I'm gonna make are already on your roadmap - AND I DON'T CARE. I'll repeat them infinitely into the fucking VOID if need be.
● ONLINE MULTIPLAYER. DO IT.
● NONE of the vehicles should have auto-aim machine guns - all of their guns should fire directly forward. Auto-aim should be either a power-up or a special ability. With that being said...

Fantastic experience. Great gameplay combined with awe-inspiring voice acting and minimalistic graphics clash together in this magnum opis of a game. On the outside TAD appears to be your ordinary AAA gaming experience, but upon closer inspection the game can be compared to a regular "Clockwork Orange" or "Gone with the Wind" in terms of sheer storytelling and eye candy. TAD: That Alien Dude defines what it means to be a gamer, games like this are what keep me from abandoning the gaming community entirely. The lack of tutorials give the gamer a more cut-throght experience, similar to cup-bread or dark shoals. Minimalistic graphics allow the gamer to focus more upon the machanics then the graphics

## Murder by Numbers
As soon as I started playing this game, I was incredibly hooked on the detective puzzle format. It was a lot of fun and very relaxing to not have to worry about getting choices wrong and just take my own pace at solving the puzzles. I do have quite a few nitpicks and grievances but this game is well worth the price if you love picross and cute stories.
### Story
Overall, it's a super cute story and I love S.C.O.U.T., Honor, Jena, and Cross, as well as everyone else. The supporting cast were fun to see, but I wish I had gotten more details about them. If you like complete realism in your stories, though, be warned that there's a lot of points that just don't make sense. For example, a civilian getting involved with a murder investigation and not being arrested for interfering with evidence, hacking police files, etc.

I'm at the start of chapter 4 of this game, but want to review it at this point.
Overall, I give this game a thumbs up. But it is a game that I like and enjoy very much, but I also want to say that I found its implementation deeply annoying.
I love picross, and as a collection of picross puzzles, it's a good game. The completed puzzles don't try to "look like things" in the way most picross games do - they look like fragments of things. And that's fine. It gives them freedom to create some really interesting puzzles and you aren't really tempted to ignore logic and just guess what looks like it fits. The puzzles are challenging and satisfying. I really like that part of the game. I also like that there are a good selection of bonus puzzles. I played all the puzzles (up to chapter 4, including bonus puzzles) on hard mode and can confirm they can be solved with pure logic, which I really appreciate.

In Julia's story, the player has to rely on engagement to progress with the story.

While the Nightwolf's story rely on exploration and stealth to progress with the story.
![](https://cdn.cloudflare.steamstatic.com/steam/apps/1580010/extras/gam2.png?t=1616537047)
Both characters shares a common enemy which is "Inpu The Jackal", he currently has
an unknown background and its up to the player to discover who he is and what is his
true objective. Are you up for the challenge?!

The Game's main idea is to let the player feel like he is engaging, feeling and
relating to the characters not just playing them. Engage, Explore, CONNECT
and mostly… have FUN!
