Shoot The Zombirds VR

I have been playing Shoot The Zombirds for years! starting with my Itouch and continuing with subsequent phones. I was so excited when I heard they were releasing a version for VR! I have been checking in constantly waiting for updates as the release date had been moved back a few times. Well, It’s finally here! I’m probably biased because of the nostalgia but I love the game! It is a lot of fun and well worth the price! Also, the Halloween release was really good timing.

Sniper Fury

Sniper Fury

“Sniper Fury” is a f2p time killer, posing as a sniper shooting game. In reality, there is no skill applied, but the patience to grind for another, more powerful rifle, to click your enemies out of the picture faster. More to it, the most significant elements of gameplay there -are energy bars. Yeah, exactly those notorious “stamina” things from browser games, which should instantly give any purposeful PC player a headache. Well, on top of things, there are mandatory bullet cam effects and big explosions every now and then. And the grinding process, where you build up your armory and unlocking yet another stupid “story level”.

It says the game is Free to play, I would rather say Free to download or Pay to play. Nevertheless it’s still possible to play for free and gain some progress, but slower then when you pay. It’s all about buying and spending rubies to progress, if not, you will have to wait an amount of time to pass a weapon or a squad upgrade for example. Basically everything you do require you to spend rubies in order to gain progress. And if you think you are going to play a sniper game, you will get surprised and very disappointed as I did. This game has nothing to do with sniping at all. You find yourself holding a sniper rifle or a machine gun, you won’t be able to move, all you can do is look, aim and zoom and that’s basically it. And even PvP matches are not with actual players but bots, very disappointing. Sniper Fury is more like a gambling game, so if you want to gamble your money and life away get it, either then that I would never play this game myself for one second.

MDK 2

MDK 2

Three years after the release of the original MDK by Shiny Entertainment, the IP moved to developer Bioware, who threw out the run and gun gameplay of the first title in favour of a deeper action adventure approach.

The sequel changes the game mechanics in another major way by offering players the ability to hop between the three main characters of the series (Kurt Hectic, Max [formerly Bones], and Dr. Hawkins). The game is broken up into a series of stages that feature each main character doing something different. These are not optional stages either. Instead, the player controls each main character for a chunk of the level.

This was my first computer game I’ve ever played and it has aged extremely well. Don’t worry about not playing the first one, you can pick this game up and play it without any problem as the first game was MUCH more lax on the story side of things. This game is the definition of what it means to be a classic. As is often the case with Bioware games, the writing is fantastic with comedy being seamlessly interweaved with the high-paced action game that it is. The level designs do not lack for anything. They really make you think since every room is like its own puzzle. I remember when I was young, around 9 or 10, I would be stuck on some rooms for days before my tiny brain put together what I needed to do. This was an era before I was even aware I could google game walkthroughs, but I loved figuring everything out. The boss fights are epic, with each boss seeming like a more complex Legend of Zelda boss fight. Finally, what REALLY sets this game apart for me is the sheer amount of secrets in the game. This game is from a time when designers could throw in a secret room you accessed by stumbling across an invisible bridge over a never-ending pit or running towards a section of wall that seems slightly off-color from the rest. They reward you with items, health, or perhaps a joke room with a poorly photoshopped picture of the developers' faces over some cartoon characters. Either way, these secret rooms do not detract anything from the experience, and they’re a real treat to find. This is a game that does not hold your hand and try to steer you to progress. No, this game sits and waits for you to progress, expecting you to know what to do or to take as much time as you need to figure it out.

Just Act Natural

Just Act Natural

When I first found this game, I was a little bit skeptical. I’d already gone through 5-10 free multiplayer games that I wanted to play with my friends and none of them were as entertaining as I was hoping they’d be. Then I stumbled across this gem. Just Act Natural is probably one of my favorite games right now. Getting a bunch (or even just a couple) of friends together, figuring out how the NPCs move, and trying not to get caught is super exhilarating. I can’t wait to see what new maps and power-ups both hiders and seekers are going to get in the future, but for now I know that this game is perfect so far…and not only that, but its available on both mac and pc AND its free!! The clay models are adorable and it’s intriguing seeing who either you or your teammates will become next. This is an amazing game that I hope the world is able to enjoy like my friends and I do! 10/10 :)

starting off, id like to say.. this is a great game, would recommend for a funny party game to play with friends, or to even make youtube content on!

with that being said, i dont think the DLCs should be pay to use/play. this game has potential to be a really good game, just in its current state it is very repetitive, and could use a FREE update, that adds gamemodes, more power ups, and even a stat tracking system!

“BWAINS!!” Grumble GRRB GURK GRAK

BANG BANG BOOM EXPLOSION PEW

Zombie Training Simulator is exactly what it sounds like; Its a preparation for the IRL zombie apocalypse - except with a twist: Its a ton of fun! The graphics are simplistic, yet detailed and polished. Although they are not realistic, the game is still highly immersive. Because the zombies are cardboard cut-outs, the game allows you to enjoy the same fun that a bloody, gory, zombie, shooter game gives you, without all the blood, guts, and horror (Although it can be very startling when you turn around and see a zombie you were not expecting to be there, #CardboardJumpscare).

My favorite for gun mechanics. This is basically a target range shooter or a wave shooter depending on which mode you play. You basically just shoot paper zombie targets but in one mode they will advance on your position and you can use all sorts of novelty items like lanterns and grenades to take them out. You even get a katana. That’s pretty freaking cool. You can even alter the grip angle so if you are a 1911 guy you don’t have to adapt to shooting a Glock (that will make sense to the people it was inteded for). Loads of fun and easy to grasp the concept of. It’s been a hit among my friends when they come over to play. It’s a lot easier for first time VR users than some of the more elaborate games and I still keep coming back to it for workng on pistol skills. If you are looking for a serious wave shooter or FPS then you’d be better off with Sairento, Onward, or Overkill VR. If you want to shoot targets, I like this over Lethal VR.
