Farty Bird

Farty Bird

This is arguably the best game of 2021, I’ve only played at least 10 minutes or so but that doesn’t disregard the fact that this game is made with complete effort making it such an amazing game, the 10 minutes I have played was the best 10 minutes I have had on any steam game, no game can compete to this beast of a $2 game, thank you Bro Code for making such an enjoyable and amazing game.

This is a destructive sandbox game with just enough story to keep you coming back for more!

You play as a tiny gorilla that must eat everything in it’s path to grow larger and defeat the evil general trying to capture you..

Pros

-Funny voices and sound effects

  • Bright colorful environment

-Satisfying Destruction

-Love the ability to use the enemies' weapons even when they are tiny in your huge gorilla hands after you’ve grown

Cons

-Only 3 levels currently (more content to come)

  • Sound issues- A lot of times you’ll hear a pig or cow sound effect in your ear and you’ll think it’s right behind you but there are no animals nearby.

You play as a small little monkey that has been subject to military experiments and has escaped…

But now, when you eat a certain ammount of food, you grow!

Moment method works, because you are a gorilla (trigger to “pull” the world, grab buttons to grab stuff… hold them close to your mouth to automatically eat them)

Ive played the game for a while since early release, and it has improved with every update.

Granted it still needs a bit of polish… Something i noticed is that some SFX are missing, like enviromental, and other sounds that id expect arent there. Also its very easy to destroy buildings when you are the bigger sized.

Sketch Crawler

Sketch Crawler

Sketch Crawler is a super-creative deck-building roguelike single player RPG game about the King of Cartoons who lost his kingdom in a wicked magic picture.

The Magic of Drawing

With just one click, you can redraw any object in the game: creatures, spells, walls, furniture, and decorations. Your drawings will be saved and used for further generations of the Sketch Crawler world.

The Мagic of Сolor

In the world of Sketch Crawler, colors have their own mysterious power. By adding a color to a creature, you can add new abilities and powers to it. By adding a color to a magic spell you can greatly enhance it.

Endless Fun

The procedural generation of dungeons and enemies gives you endless gameplay.

Roguelike

You will die many times and start over and over again, trying to save the King of Cartoons. And that’s okay. The cool thing is that once you make it through the dungeon, you’ll keep all the cards you have collected along the way and your next campaigns will be better prepared.

Peacemaker

There is no need to kill to win here. You can let your enemy escape, the amount of loot and experience you get will not change.

Experimental Game

We are experimenting with letting players create whatever they want and make it matter in the game. We want to tempt players to draw.

A Place for a Scene

You will also be able to record voiceovers for all your characters and even for your enemies!

Features:

  • Everything you draw appears in a procedurally generated world.

  • Conquer dungeons with turn-based card combat.

  • Build your ultimate deck from cards you find.

  • Redraw found cards to give them new properties.

  • Draw creatures and see them fighting for you.

Pug With Bomb

Pug With Bomb

This game is tagged as a procedurally-generated.

This is not true.

Each map is custom-made and not generated.

I don’t think it had even 10 levels total.

It’s also tagged as cute and family friendly.

Unless you find dog poop cute and family friendly.

After playing the very few maps, the game ends abruptly on a black and white screen filled even more poop, which you cannot exit from.

You will be repeatedly killed before the enemy even touches you.

Enemies move fast and unpredictably, so there’s no way to even plan a strategy.

Okhlos: Omega

Okhlos: Omega

This is indeed a pretty fun game when it comes down to its core gameplay. I’m not sure about the price tag associated with this but will gladly gives this an enthusiastic thumbs up if can pick this game up for 10 bucks or less.

The best thing about this game is that it’s very east to pick up and play. There really isn’t much to it other than running around and picking up citizens along the way to add to your mob and wreck every thing and every one that stands in your way.

It isn’t all about just running around though. There are times in which you have to defend against certain types of attacks an enemy makes and when to rally the mob together to avoid a trap or hazard.

Time to dispense some mob justice on Zeus & his pals as we get to lace up our sandals and head out on an Odyssey worth writing Homer about in - Okhlos.

Probably best described as a mob-handed, roguelite brawler you lead a group of disgruntled Greeks across the ancient world to the gates of Mount Olympus. Your goal - to destroy all the gods. But rather than taking the old Kratos, God of War approach you don’t actually get you hands dirty. Instead you get your horde of fighters, slaves and citizens to do all the head bashing for you. Sending them chasing after your target reticle in something akin to a twin-stick rampage of destruction.

Sir, You Are Being Hunted

Sir, You Are Being Hunted

It was a chilly, spring evening in O’Lution Manor when this first came to my attention and I must say, that my interest in gaming had been waning a bit, snatching short plays of casual titles rather than putting in any significant time playing anything of depth. Indeed, with my eldest son having largely commandeered the console, leaving me with the laptop and mobile devices, it seemed I was wandering into the realms of the casual gamer.

And then I came across Sir, You Are Being Hunted. The visual style and sense of humour lulled me in in and when I saw, yes, my word, it will run on my laptop, I decided to take the plunge.

The game is now out of Alpha, which means the developers are considering it more or less finished. In the past I made it clear how disappointed I was with how the game was turning out, and now I’d like to step back and review the game, the developers, and the history of both in their entirety.

The game taken completely by itself, with no consideration of the developers or the Alpha development phase, I feel is a decent but flawed stealth shooter. There’s some fun to be had in sneaking around in the tall grass, but nearly every other aspect of the game has something wrong with it.

I’ve only played this game a little but I enjoyed it a lot!

Only real recommendation is that the jump felt clunky. Thieves are meant to be quick and nimble but this thief felt fat and slow. If you just slightly increase jump height it’ll feel much better. Currently with the jump height you can just barely jump ontop of platforms and boxes, ideally you’ll want to jump to 1.25 to 1.5x higher than the height of the box so it gives a sense of nimbleness.

Hope this isn’t a stupid suggestion but I feel it will help the game’s movement feel smoother.
