THE CORRIDOR

THE CORRIDOR

Incredibly simple concept for a game that manages to not only create different puzzles to solve but also leading you on a fun and quirky adventure to push every last button out of spite for the narrator. If you’ve ever played The Stanley Parable, this is a game that’ll bring back fond memories and create new ones that you’ll love to go back to! From going rogue and disobeying the narrator, to meeting a cardboard man with a cardboard plan, there’s bound to be something that brings a smile to your face and gets you laughing and having a good time! Highly recommended, honestly one of the funnest games I’ve played in awhile and it really deserves a chance!

A game full of potential, very fun to play with friends!

It’s definitely more productive to settle our dramas in this game instead of fighting IRL

Wh- What are you doing here?

Did you not read the title?

I’ll put it here again, just for you, but this time I’ll make a tiny change that will probably help you out:

See that small, unnoticeable circle? Yes, the one in red that surrounds the word ‘NOT’.

Yeah? You got it!

Oh, such a happy moment of learning that we got to share together!

And now that you’ve noticed it, I’m sure you will do the respectful thing and immediately stop reading the description for the game. You are now free to go do something else!

Oh, I get it.

You think that by reading this long description you will find out more about the game.

Fine.

Here is a feature list you might find useful:

  • A whole lot of nothing

  • Me as the narrator

  • More nothing

  • I have some jokes ready I guess?

  • A lot of regrets

See how full of beautiful features this game is?

It was really hard to polish all these features to perfection, but I never gave up and pulled through it!

So now that you have full knowledge of everything you need to know, I am certain that you can go on with your life.

…why are you still reading this?

SHAKESPEARE? More like THIRSTspeare, amirite?

You know the drill. It’s a dating sim. But wait: not just any dating sim! One (or more) of your crushes like dating sims, and you, a humble programmer, have decided that is what you will make IN ORDER TO WIN THEIR HEART.

  • Create a cast

  • Write your dating sim over five acts

  • Use various skills such as actually talking to your crush to figure out what they like, and then put that in the game!

  • Navigate the new world as an independent developer!

Good luck! You’ll need it! Unless you’ve already played this game and have memorized what to do!

The Ghost of Joe Papp: 101 Ways To Kill Writer’s Block

The Ghost of Joe Papp: 101 Ways To Kill Writer’s Block

You’ve returned to your hometown after trying to strike it big as a writer out in the mean old world. You’ll find that your old theater festival, the John Q. Public Festival, has fallen upon hard times (but honestly, when has it not?). It’s not easy being Lake Tahoe’s second-best Shakespeare festival. It falls to you to write a new future for the festival, as well as either mend or break your relations with the people that you left behind.

Or at least that’s the story you’re trying to tell. You ARE a writer, but the “hometown” is a play you wrote long ago and the “mean old world”…. well, no, that’s the mean old world. That’s not a stand-in for anything.

As Joe Papp’s author, you find yourself with the ability to change the story that you are in, making choices between multiple characters that ultimately dictate how the story progresses. Will you save the theater festival, or will you cause the zombie apocalypse?

  • Write new paths to go down with (almost) every new scene

  • Your choices have effects on how every character views you

  • Make decisions that will affect your play’s rating with the critics

I love the game concept, but only thing that developer could add would be save feature so you dont lose progress after quitting.

Interesting concept, but not much to do.

The game presents you with “targets” for the next level, but once you get enough money, you can simply invest how much you want and you’ll only advance to the next level easily. The lack of achievements makes me not want to keep leveling up.

Also, the game doesn’t save between sessions.

Disclosure: I’m friends with one of the conceptualizers of the game.

Enjoyable game for the price. Simplistic in nature but a generally addictive nature will make players want to keep coming back to the game. The game has you running your own Steam storefront where you have to monitor your stats to assure they aren’t too high or too low, otherwise its game over.

The game suffers from some bugs such as no matter what the event is, every time you swipe right on a card, your game count will increase by 1, even if the choice doesn’t involve publishing a game to Steam and the confusing stat adjustments made in correspondence with your decisions (how does accepting games have the same positive influence on developers as when you deny them?)

Well I originally wrote a long rant about why I hate these devs after they’re first success that was half-decent, but then I realized I would probably get deleted for it, so here’s my attempt at a reasonable and constructive review for this game.

Don’t buy it, Reigns is better. Long story short, it just seems like a cash grab to me, as was their last game after the initial lootbox simulator success that was alright but probably not worth the cost. It’s a half baked concept they put a price on to cash in on. Or perhaps an attempt at a game inspired by games like reign that they gave up on either out of boredom or inability to manage to work out kinks and bugs. I would suggest Game Dev Tycoon or other similar rip offs if you’re looking for the steam-esque simulators. I have a degree in computer game development that I haven’t used in 3 years because I wasn’t a fan of it, so I have a basic understanding of how to make a game. If I bothered to do research I could probably make this myself for free. Anyway, not worth a look if you ask me, if you’re looking for anything from these guys, the only good thing is I can’t believe it’s not Gambling, the first one, not the second.

I saw the post on r/pixelart, and decided to try out this game for myself. It’s well worth the money and time spent playing through this wonderful game. The artstyle is beautiful and immersive, despite lacking detail. The story and characters are crazy and zany, and the soundtrack is very good. However, my two biggest praises for this game are 1) the level designs, and 2) the control scheme.

The levels teach you everything you need to know without tutorials or instructions. You learn as you go, the game teaching you concepts and obstacles casually before raising the difficulty. The boss levels are also well-done, with easy to understand yet challenging battles. I thoroughly enjoyed platforming my way through the various kinds of levels and mazes.

‘stikir’ is the sequel to the game ‘Indecision.’ and has the sort of stuff from Indecision that I enjoyed. Although is shares a lot of aspects of its predecessor, it is far from being the same game.

A big difference between Stikir and Indecision is that Stikir is not a jumble of seemingly random levels, it actually almost has a coherent story! We have a protagonist. We follow them trying to make a video game, while various things get in their way. Productivity is always hard, especially when it’s such a big project, so it’s not surprising that even making a simple cup of coffee, itself, can become a big adventure.

I love this game so fucking much, it is incredibly addictive and very difficult. I see a few reviews on here calling the game bad but I don’t think they understand the point, you see all the crazy seizure inducing shit on the screen is what makes the game interesting, funny and hard. Every single crazy thing on the screen is designed to do three things, be funny, be ironic and make the game harder. Instead of having mobs that you have to fight off you have 1000 dollar bills on your screen covering 50% of what you see. In the past 24 hours I have spent 6 hours playing this game and every minute was worth it and I hope to be meming on for many more.
