The Thought Police Hotline: Episode 1

Developer: Voonle

Publisher: Voonle

Pros:

1. The story does keep its merits as sci-fi with interesting inclusions such as the government taking over privacy and tracking emotions, calls, and other activities. I could see the inspirations if this was inspired by Minority Report or the anime series PSYCHO-PASS, or just the outlook on real life itself.

The Van of Justice

The Van of Justice

The van of justice is an action, casual simulation game with a lot of physical objects. Experience systematic ragdoll systems, thrown and broken objects, which are not obvious to be found in other games.

“You get revenge, I build results.”

Police J comes to Kim, a student who was bullied at Turner High School in San Francisco, USA in 2005. J offers to give pocket money according to the value of the student’s arrest if he punishes and arrests the students who bullied Kim. Kim, who was bullied by all students, accepted the offer, and now Tooner High School has only to be avenged.

The way to realize justice

All students at Tooner High School are bullying Kim. Punish by throwing weapons or physical objects. Revenge if you make eye contact while walking around the hallway. Punish even if the breathing sound is loud. Even if you’re ugly, punish them. Punish both the teachers and the principal. If you take them to J’s police van, J will pay an additional corresponding price. You don’t have to feel guilty. Everyone is bullying Kim, and you are just realizing justice. If you lost interest in repeated punishment, it’s not a bad idea to carry out additional quests provided by J. If enough money has been collected, the ultimate goal is to purchase nuclear weapons parts through Kim’s home PC, expel all personnel in the school, and blast and demolish buildings.

Slave of capital, student leaders

The counselors (LMCD), as known as student leaders, will punish you when you do something wrong. Openworld games always has this kind of group. However, protection on students is not their jurisdiction. they only work for teachers and themselves.

Is this a school or a subway entrance to hell?

There are many unique friends in this school. Kim is also a very unique case right now. Coco Brothers, who throw up bombs when they’re nervous, Jay and Jenny, a nuisance couple who always stick together at schools where dating is prohibited. Right, There are also a psychopath dancer rabbit Bunny and a 500kg giant Terence who destroys everything and everyone on his way.

Puzzle Agent 2

Puzzle Agent 2

Warning: Spoiler Alert…

I’ve never had so many mixed feelings about the implementation of a game as I have this one…

The game is obviously a sequel to the original ‘Puzzle Agent’ and literally carries on where that one left off. Certain events were left unanswered in the original, such as what did the ‘Hidden People’ want with Ed Davis? And where is he now? Though the Scoggins eraser factory has reopened and Agent Tethers has been taken off the case officially, his curiosity of wanting those questions answered gets the better of him and takes it upon himself to take some vacation time and return to Scoggins to do some personal investigation.

Puzzle Agent 2 is a game marred by plot inconsistencies and an unsatisfying story. While the characters and atmosphere pull the player in, the gameplay and story problems are overwhelming.

After competing Puzzle Agent 1, I was excited to play the sequel. Unfortunately, this game doesn’t hold up. The story has suffered, as the overloaded plot crashes and burns in a chaotic confusion, leaving plothole debris everywhere. A list of which includes:

! * Agent Tethers keeps his job at the FBI despite returning to a case without authorization; breaking and entering into the local police department; tampering with government evidence; assaulting another government agent; espousing conspiracy theories to his superior; and stealing and destroying government property.

Flat Earth Simulator

Flat Earth Simulator

My first impressions were positive with a beautiful model, pleasant narration along soothing ambient music.

  • It would have been great to zoom in more and see cities mapped onto the model from high altitude photos.

  • The Sun and Moon are different sizes, they should be about the same.

  • The Sun and Moon orbits are locked.

  • No Moon phases or eclipses present.

  • No Tropic of Cancer or Tropic of Capricorn sun orbit paths for seasons.

  • Stars seem random rather than actual mapped stars along with correct movements over the plane.

Garbage.

No way to change display/sound settings in game, must quit and re-launch. No option to not have the really slow narrator read everything to you, instead you must mute it, hide the text, and then press space to open it with the full text visible for anyone who can read faster than a third grader, the text is poorly written with many grammatical mistakes and quirks that make it hard to understand, the information being presented raises more questions than it answers, and the clues that pop up every few minutes make no sense and don’t actually lead to anything.

Point number: 420

So, this was lots of fun! One of my favourite games of theirs so far. It made me smile, it made me exclaim in shock and I was enjoying every second of it. Actually gonna go right over to my best friend to recommend this game, because I really want to know her results and this is so much fun it ought to be shared!

Also, the Granny rocks!

This one definitely had a different feel than the other games, and I found it harder to decide what type of answer I should give… What I would genuinely give, the get the most points, or what I suspect the lady whose points we need to match might have given. Was still a fun half hour.

I like the game. I don’t know if it is incomplete because i can’t find the third rocket. But I like this and PROJECT ULTRA. Even if they are broken and possibly abandoned. I hope they will update and make more games soon.

Who is the Liar?

Who is the Liar?

I loved the art direction chosen for this game. It combines pieces that look like they came out of the board game Clue with beautiful, more realistic 3D scenarios and comics iconographies. The game also has an engaging story and charming characters.

With all of these elements at the developer’s disposal, the game practically begs for more content. Since it is still in early access, it is sure to develop into a great game.

Very promising!

A fun game, very well produced. The visuals are incredible, combining cartoon 2D and stunning 3D. A humorous narrative, it reminds me of the movie Knives Out with its crazy eccentric family. Looking forward to play the next stories in the final version.

Revolution 60

Revolution 60

If you have synesthesia, get some sunglasses before you play this game, and play it with care. It’s been about two hours since I stopped playing it and I still feel dizzy, disoriented, and nauseous.

I really like this game, but the colors, the lighting, the bloom, the motion blur– all these things put together make me feel as though I’ve been playing the game while sitting inside of a spinning dryer.

EDIT: Just completed it on Girlfriend mode.

Where to start. The Internet really wants you to make things seem worse than they are, but I refuse. Revolution 60 is a game where all the pieces are in place (nearly): there’s music, sound effects, graphics (though the anatomy, esp. the characters' heads, prevents anyone from really taking the drama seriously), and a control scheme, a movement scheme, a battle system, but all the parts are so disparate that they do not work well at all together.

This game is a port of the original IOS release, and, generally-speaking, an improvement over the original game. The controls are more responsive and the framerate is extremely stable. Though the game has issues with certain GPUs according to some users, it is generally more functional and more competent than the original game, with a clear attempt made at addressing the laundry-list of technical problems the original game had. The framerate is fixed, the audio mixing woes are fixed, the synchronization errors are fixed, the model tearing is gone. The game looks smoother and moves better than ever before, and I’ll give Giant Spacekat Studio its props for getting this much done. New content was added, including new responses for Holiday, new animations, and new skins for all the characters. By all accounts, this is an outstanding achievement on Giant Spacekat’s part at fixing the game’s various outstanding issues, and it deserves respect for doing so.
