A.I.M. Racing
I wrote this review with a heavy heart as I consider myself to be among the most fanatic fans of the A.I.M. game series. So this review doesn’t come from a random game hopper.
I find this game to be enjoyable… but JUST enjoyable not very enjoyable, and the reason is actually very simple: not because it’s not a RPG type-game, like its predecessors, but because sometimes A.I.M.: Racing is literally unplayable. Unstable physics engine and gameplay-wise bad map design isn’t exactly the best combo. A good example of this would be the Ocean Station. The track is literally a underwater tube-shaped station, full of dynamic physics objects (DPO), where player will get stuck and start uncontrollably. These DPOs don’t affect NPCs as much as they do players. On the same level, besides DPOs, there are also some invisible barriers (which are bad collision meshes on models, actually) that could randomly block a player and at least 10 other NPCs at the same time! This is just one big f*cking mess. I spent 4 hours straight (!) trying to beat the single Ocean Station of the Major League only because of the bad collisions… four effing hours!

Let’s turn an RPG into a racer!
Yep believe it or not. This is what happened. A.I.M Racing is a follow on in the series of ‘A.I.M’ (not yet ported to steam) and ‘A.I.M 2’ which can be found here…

Both of which I had never heard of before. Basically the story set up in these versions is that mankind was playing around with artificial intelligence and creating mobile war machines called ‘gliders’ which were in turn controlled by artificial brains in a capsule called ‘mechminds’. Each generation produced a more complicated and sophisticated ‘mechmind’ and the 5th generation was considered to be the most superior. All this testing was done covertly on a planet known as ‘Polygon 4’. Eventually because of various milestone events, the future construction of these war machine gliders were abandoned and the location of this planet a forgotten fairy tale. However the assembly line itself and the testing facility was still fully operational and the testing protocols as dictated in its programming was still active. Hence the planet itself was still testing the mechminds to see which was the most advanced in warfare and racing as set up in its programming parameters. Only once that answer had been obtained would the system ‘shut down’ or enter into a sleep phase.

Barely Racing
Barely Racing is a fast-paced combat racing game where you can buy and upgrade your car and play through the campaign. Drive multiple cars on multiple tracks. Play offline with your friends in good old hot seat fun.
.
Several multiplayer modes are available
-
Race - Typical racing with weapons.
-
Mine Tag - A good old tag game, but more dangerous. One player carries the mine which has a timer. Once timer runs out, mine explodes. Touching other player will transfer the mine. Then it’s time to run
-
Flag chase - The flag is in the middle of a map, whoever takes it will have their points increased as long as flag is being carried. But watch out, as soon as someone touches you, the flag will be transferred to the player that touched you.
-
Deathmatch - Pure carnage. Use your weapons to destroy as many opponents as possible. Once destroyed, the car will respawn for another round.
-
Football - Good old football game with cars. 2v2 isometric football

Dash Dash World
I have tried nearly every VR kart racer trying to get that Mario Kart fix in VR. Everything I had tried previously has fallen woefully short of the mark, but this game has impressed me so far.
The courses are detailed and interesting with lots going on including active stage hazard to dodge and include shortcuts, alternate routes, boost pads etc. About half of the courses are marked extreme and these are my favorites, they have lots of verticality like the anti-grav sections of MK8.
Weapon selection is good and the interactivity of the weapons is a lot of fun. You can counter some attacks, certain exploding weapons for instance that stick to you can be shaken off with your hands before they explode or items like the eggs that stick to your face can be quickly wiped off to negate their effects. Also the minimap allows you to see long range attacks coming and move over to dodge, which is a nice improvement, feels a bit more skill based to dodge so I appreciate this touch.

Tl;Dr: This is truly THE Mario Kart in VR. From customisation options to single player content to control schemes, you WANT this in your library.
I’ve been playing Dash Dash World since the Beta on the Oculus store. The game still lives up to all the promises it’s been aiming to keep since the beta and I’ve enjoyed every moment of it.
For starters, there are a wide amount of control schemes to pick from. From simple analog stick controls allowing you to duel wield items like a mad man, to proper racing setups (although from word of mouth, it could use a bit of tweaking for it to reach some fun results). You can also enable Immersive controls which let you use your controllers to steer. You can also swap which hand you’d like to steer more while aiming with your right hand.

Clutch
This was nice to play. People who like Carmageddon will probably like this
Positives:
Good graphics quality. Really good I guess for the time of the release, no worse than in more recent Carmageddon: Reincarnation
Fun physics
Nice maps with destructive elements and stuff like ramps or tunnels to perform stunts
Cars eating zombies
Cars setting zombies on fire
Cars getting energy from eating and dismembering zombies for a nitro boost
You get to race and eat zombies with your car inside the Large Hadron Collider

It’s really hard for me to recommend Clutch, even despite me spending 11 hours of my life playing it.
For one, the PS3 version is the definitive version of the game with many improvements which I will mention later.
This game had so much potential but unfortunately, it just comes off as rushed halfway.
Only 3 cars out of 8 are customizable, and they have some cars shown in the concept art that don’t appear in the game at all. The races are too easy and the car collisions are really bad, you’ll ram some cars at full speed and they would BARELY get any damage.

Carmageddon TDR 2000
For my awful video review (first attempt at one, give me a break lol), watch here: https://youtu.be/nGze6QoI_hY
Intro
By far the most underrated game I’ve ever played. It’s my favourite in the series, despite it always having been considered the red-headed step child within the Carmageddon family. Totally unique, but also the only racing game I can call ‘atmospheric’. A serious blast and a worthy successor to Carmageddon II and the original in every single way. At least most of us can agree it’s better than Max Damage, right?

Carmageddon TDR 2000 is a fun game, once you become acustomed to its idiosynchrocies. Most modern computers experience a glitch caused by an antiquated Mip map and vertex fog better handled by Voodoo Rush and TNT Riva cards of yesteryear. The fix is simple: backup your game cache through Steam first. browse Local Files, Open GFX file with Word Pad. Scroll to line 74 and edit line which reads all twos. Change last two to a zero, Save and done. The game has 25 races and 25 missions. For help with missions check out ZodApe’s YewTewb Channel. I have seen complaints on here about the game is broken, too hard, not enough time etc. Yet i imagine these same complainers plow happily throught the latest NFS broken crap because the Dice Team made it and they made Call of Droopy Diaties. Blow that! Need more money to buy that sweet Hotty? Try racing the first level in The 20’s and for the love of Pete, mow down every ped on the sidewalks. Keep those Combo Multiplies spinning and you will make serious bank ~ $250K - $600K per play through. Race it over and over until you have serious ends. Also the Train Station generously has Armor,Power and Slots All Around so you need not buy those, merely fill them for more even more nefarious power. Do You need more time? Use a bigger and slower car to hammer the competition. The “Jaws” car is a personal fave. Most Opponent Wasteds yield an extra minute and sometimes more added game play time. Is this game for everyone? Hell no! You have to work hard to succeed. Without some skin in the game there can be no reward. This is a game from fifteen years past when games were brutal but satisfying because you felt like you had accomplished something. if it is too hard then maybe Mario Kart or one of it’s Brawzillion spinoffs is a better bet for you. Thanks for reading,be safe, keep well and happy gaming Playa.

This game is fast paced, has beautiful graphics, and is very smooth and polished! A lot of effort went into this game, that’s for sure! The steam remote play is a great feature because you can race against your friends for bragging rights without them having to own the game themselves! The music…omg it’s amazing! Very cool music to listen too as you fly around tracks all over the galaxy! For less than the cost of your lunch tomorrow you can get this game, get 11 tracks instantly, 1 new track monthly for all of 2021, and a monthly tournament with cool prizes for the rest of 2021!! So much content! I highly recommend you get this game!

Galaxy Kart VR
Put your VR headset on, grab the wheel and accelerate!
In a Galaxy full of crazy racers, an amazing championship
decides who is the best driver of all!
Not only the racers can get weapons in the tracks, but each one of them have individual skills!
In Galaxy Kart you will choose between many characters, each with their own special skills and ways of winning a race,
and use the items scattered on the track to stop your enemies from reaching the finish-line before you do!
As a famous non-kart racer almost said:
“you shall race on the beaches, shall race on the landing grounds, shall race in the fields,
in the streets, you shall race in the space, and shall never surrender!”
Space Wave Race
An accessible racing game for the visually impaired. Full audible menu scheme and an impressive tutorial.
The simple graphics are easy on the eye and sound is acceptable.
The core racing game is fun with the challenge to win each race the options for a single race or championship mode.
The controls are simple using keyboard only.
It is a shame there is no real integration with Steam in relation to acheivements, Cards or Leaderboards all of which would add to the fun.
Happy to see more games coming to Steam with the Visually Impaired in mind
