Garfield Kart
“I don’t think any word can explain a man’s life,” says one of the searchers through the warehouse of treasures left behind by Jonathan Arbuckle. Then we get the famous series of shots leading to the closeup of the word “Garfield” on a kart that has been tossed into a furnace, its paint curling in the flames. We remember that this was Arbuckle’s childhood kart, taken from him as he was torn from his family and sent east to boarding school.
Garfield is the emblem of the security, hope and innocence of childhood, which a man can spend his life seeking to regain. It is the green light at the end of Gatsby’s pier; the leopard atop Kilimanjaro, seeking nobody knows what; the bone tossed into the air in “2001.” It is that yearning after transience that adults learn to suppress. “Maybe Garfield was something he couldn’t get, or something he lost,” says Lyman, the reporter assigned to the puzzle of Arbuckle’s dying word. “Anyway, it wouldn’t have explained anything.” True, it explains nothing, but it is remarkably satisfactory as a demonstration that nothing can be explained. “Garfield Kart” likes playful paradoxes like that. Its surface is as much fun as any mascot kart racer ever made. Its depths surpass understanding. I have analyzed it a frame at a time with more than 30 groups, and together we have seen, I believe, pretty much everything that is there on the screen. The more clearly I can see its physical manifestation, the more I am stirred by its mystery.

When I was 18… 18 years old, I saw for the first time in my life… I saw an image of clarity. I saw a comic strip… a three panel comic strip that, though simple as it seemed, changed me… changed my being, changed who I am… Made me who I am…
Enlightened me…
The strip, Garfield, the comic strip was new… no more than maybe a month and a half since inception, since… since coming into existence… and there it was before me in print, I saw it… a comic strip… What was it called?

Slopecrashers
Yes! You read right, arcade snowboarding is back! Which means SLOPECRASHERS is crafted with one thing in mind and that is FUN! This starts from the character selection screen and goes down into the core physics of the game. So press START, choose a character, a board and a hangglider, optionally even up to three buddies of yours for SPLITSCREEN MULTIPLAYER and hit the slopes!
STUNTS, STUNTS and more STUNTS. Yes, very important, because the more daring a stunt is, the more speed you will get out of it. Oh and COMBOS! Chain those stunts together with manuals, small tricks and railslides and redeem the combo meter when you are ready for that EXTRA SPEEDBOOST!
Oh, you thought you could go for a chill ride? I mean yeah you can but look out for your opponents causing EXPLOSIONS, MOLES digging up the ground beneath you, ANGRY SNOWMEN trying to stop you and much more. So go collect items and PROTECT yourself or ATTACK the others! (But for those moments when you just want to cruise down the track and explore everything the slopes have to offer you can choose an opponent-free game mode as well)
And btw, these slopes are not just in snow environments. No! Where we’re shredding, WE DON’T NEED SNOW! So don’t wonder if the next race/slalom/stuntshow/… starts in a shopping mall, a hot desert or a tropical jungle area!

Touring Karts
i received this game for free as a part of the pre-release testing phase. with that being said, i offered to pay for access and had been anticipating this title for months before it released from the first time i saw a post about it on FB.
the game hit a lot of check boxes for me right out of the gates such as
[x] visually appealing and performant
[x] good use of quality audio
[x] multiple control schemes to suit multiple play styles (the virtual steering wheel in a recent update worked very well and was VERY fun compared to the original implementation)

Add me on steam and DISCORD. Anyone who wants to play this game. TRAMPASAURUSREX #5046 Simply one of the best VR games around. I was sure I was gonna be dissapointed, cause I’m just not as into racing games as I was. But because I used to be I still kinda know what to look for. While this may be simplistic in the racing mechanics, it is amazing fun. It actually isn’t completely simple. Easy to play using the toggle on a standard motion controller. But if you use the virtual wheel, a bit of a challenge at first. I put the sensitivity all the way down, and for a round wondered if it could even be made to work consistently. Then I figured it out. I was just moving my wheel arm around a bit too much. I sat it my girls rocking chair with a pillow under me and one on my back. lol Footstool in front of that. I laid my arm a little on the arm rest, hand and controller angled toward my lap/legs. I found that if you just rest your arm in the same position, and rotate your hand like you are holding a little wheel, which you are, then it is perfect. I figured out that I can have even more control of my car with the virtual wheel. Only took me three rounds to get the sweet spot. Use the centering button like this. Lean forward a little bit, hit center, then relax back. Gives ya a little more space. Also makes watching the rear view mirrors easier, and also give ya some leaning room for throwing stuff behind you like an a$$#@$^. lols I adore this game. Great for parties, great for online. Even the bots are fun. The ability to combine powerups is awesome. I was rocking super chickens a lot. lols But I wiped everyone else out and lapped them with a triple chicken bomb. hahha. The racing aspects are fun. The courses are fun, with crazy events breaking them up, like a giant monkey throwing stuff at all of you. You can be in the front and suddenly be at the end. You can also, with some smart driving and use of powerups switch that and go right past everyone to number one. The power ups require some aiming and actual skill, for most, and many of them, if you are very sharp, and have good instincts and reflexes, can be dodged. Everything in this game is perfectly balanced. If this is early access then I cannot wait to see what they do with it next. The people asked for a virtual wheel, and the devs delivered almost immediately. It really does feel like you are driving it with a little toy wheel when you get your hand in that sweet spot and figure it out. Really adds to the immersion and fun. Plus I hear it supports almost all driving wheels. The devs have really outdone themselves and anyone else with this game. Love it. 💖💖💖💖 Little tip, don’t grind the break button when drifting. It seems to work better most of the time to tap it. Hooks those corners nice and tight. Also gets you out of trouble. Of course if you know you have an enemy coming up on you, and you saw their weapon, sometimes you can break, drop back behind them dodging their weapon, and then use your on them. Depending on the situation. I like to play tricky. lol Also there is just enough bullying to make it viable, require a lot of skill, and enough to make it fun. If you see someone close to a wall and they have to turn into a corner. Give them a little ram and they slam. hahah. For when you don’t have a powerup, or you wanna save it for the next guy. Again, a great game. This game would also be fun on any platform, whether it is flat screen or vr. It’s mostly a game for people who like to be friendly jerks.

Rhythm Race
I found amusing.
It has an interesting variety of music and refers to a mixture of traditional rhythmic games + neon cars
Waiting for more content.

I’ll be honest, this game is very difficult for me in normal mode, my fingers are very slow! Now the game proposal is great!
The game is well polished, small adjustments are needed, but it has good potential!

Flåklypa Grand Prix
Liker spillet godt.

I enjoyed this game greatly but it is not without problems.
It’s been so long since I played the original I can’t remember much of it, but I do remember the Ludwig’s labyrinth minigame being my favourite but they have changed into something else that is too easy and boring, in the original it was some easy addicting pac-man-ish.
The game is filled with the most useless trivia, I don’t know if it’s so they can sell it as a learning game or it’s just fun facts, but they are so pointless with one sentence each to cover entire fields of study.

Mini Motor Racing X
A nearly perfect arcade racer and a remake that more than exceeds the original. I received the game free because I bought the original Mini Motor Racing Evo but I would have happily paid for it. This is arcade racing as it should be.
It’s a game that combines many classic elements of Super Cars, Super Sprint, Micro Machines, Skidmarks and Ivan Ironman Stewart’s Super Off Road Racer but also allows you to race in first person and third person camera views as well as the classic top down view.

Can’t speak to the new VR mode, but the non-VR mode is just as much of a blast as the original game (Mini Motor Racing EVO) was. If you’re looking for a fun arcade racer, and are willing to overlook some flaws, then this game is for you.
Unfortunately there are several issues (some that carry over from the original and are still very glaring):
-
The balancing for certain cars is still off, which is unfortunate, but you can still eke out a win with any car if it is upgraded enough.
-
The new maps are a nice (varied) addition, but the music for them isn’t as good as the original maps (most of the new tracks are generic rock that don’t really fit the theme of the map).

TRF - The Race Factory
An extremely fun game to play whether you have friends or not. It’s a very easy game to get into, and even easier to sink into. Especially when competing with the leader boards.
There are various modes and events to try including a pretty easy to use track maker and various different vehicle types!
– Real player with 34.5 hrs in game
Recent updates have made the game more stable, and the developer is working on new features, which is really good. Lots of bugs have been fixed since release.
The game has several fun gamemodes, two types of track editor (one currently in beta, as of writing this review), multiple car classes, including street, formula, karts, trucks, boats, among others. The difficulty is alright most of the time, but do not play drift mode on mountain circuit. Just don’t, you’ll regret it. That was the first thing I played, and it lead me to leave a negative review at first.

Crystal Chasers League
The love child of Mario Kart and Fall Guys.
Still needs some time in the oven (it IS Early Access after all) but I’ve had a blast playing it. Brought back memories of split screen Mario Kart and there’s always something going on at any given time during a match. It’s fully playable offline with bots (which is always a great plus for me personally), so those who just want to enjoy without the pressures of online multiplayer will be right at home.
My suggestions for the devs:
-
More maps
-
More game modes (though what there is already is fun, don’t get me wrong)

FAST & FURIOUS CROSSROADS
I didnt expect a game this new could be so horrible.
Yes i did read the reviews but still didnt think it could be so bad.
Game has 2 hours worth of content which 50% of it is unskippable cutscenes.
I was exited to try the multiplayer since all the dlc is just for multiplayer but after 10min in que there was still 1/9 players in the lobby so dlc is all useless.
I guess the whole budjet of the game went to the actors vin diesel etc to say few lines in the game and appear in cutscenes.
The graphics are pretty much same as need for speeds from 2005 and the handling oh boy there is no speedometer the cars just slide on the roads and nitros just blur the whole world and launch your car.

I still cannot believe anyone in their right mind let this game release to public.
I paid a full $60 for this game and DID NOT receive a free copy. At time of review I’m currently sitting at 19.1 hours played. Easily, the most hours played of this game on Steam. By literally anyone. Even the devs.
Let’s start with the solo campaign. THREE straight hours of explosions, fast cars, arm crossing, and FAMILY. How could I forget the family. One of the best, if not the literal best, story-lines I’ve experienced in a game this year.
