FREEDOM FIGHTERS REVIEW

My brother & I have been playing this game a lot over the years. We have this on PS2. We love this game and always wanted to see a PC release. But when we found that there was no multiplayer in the PC version, we were pretty disappointed. We always played multiplayer together even with other friends. I thought about an easy way of implementing co-op. At first, I wanted Bagzton or Isabella to be Player 2. But that didn’t make sense since

! Isabella gets kidnapped and Bagzton never fights. So I came up with something simple: Player 1 recruits a soldier and Player 2 controls that soldier. So, without further ado….

Review:

Originally released in the ancient, prehistoric year of 2003, Freedom Fighters tells a story of resistance in an alternate timeline where the USSR beat the United States to the atomic bomb and ended World War II by dropping it upon Berlin. This change of events leads to a much different Cold War, one where the Soviet Union becomes the ascendant global superpower and the United States quickly finds itself weak and alone, surviving only on borrowed time. Against this backdrop, the player takes on the role of New York plumber Chris Stone, whose day-to-day life is shattered by an armed Soviet invasion of the country. With his brother captured and his country occupied, Chris quickly finds that the only way to solve his problems is to engage in that great, time-honored American pastime: murdering Communists.

Agent Intercept

For being an expanded port of “just” a mobile game, this one’s great.

My only two complaints are irregular, but severe crashes and the fact that the campaign is rather short.

Though, regarding the latter, Score-Hunters will still have plenty of fun with the arcade mode.

This is a really fun game. It has striking character design, engaging gameplay, and a funky soundtrack. The story and dialogue can be goofy but that’s not a bug, it’s a feature.

Incidentally, I have not encountered any bugs.

Omikron: The Nomad Soul

Omikron: The Nomad Soul

Omikron: The Nomad Soul has a very in-depth plot and constantly tries to break the fourth wall (whether it works or not) in order to convince you that your soul has been trapped inside the world of Omikron and that your soul and very existence outside the game is at stake in regards to the antagonist, the demon known as Astaroth. The characters you interact with in the main story are fleshed out in their own rights, some more than others. The player is able to interact with certain people at certain parts of the game and depending on what you say will determine what the character will reply with.

(Sorry, nie będzie polskiej wersji, nie mieści się. Chciałem umieścić w komentarzach ale jest limit 1000 znaków)

Omikron: The Nomad Soul is the first game of the Quantic Dream studio. It might as well be considered three games in one. For the major part of the gameplay it remains a TPP adventure game relying on the usual stuff: talking with NPCs and using items. Occasionally it switches to FPP shooter or hand to hand 1 on 1 brawler kind of similar to early instalments of the Tekken or Virtua Fighter series. It is worth mentioning that all of these are made pretty solid and none of them feels like it was forced into the gameplay without a reason (well, maybe with the exception of swimming, but it occurs 2 or 3 times in the entire game, which is acceptable).

Baron: Fur Is Gonna Fly

First played this at Melbourne PAX 2019 and its been in my steam wishlist ever since. Played it with my 2 kids over the weekend and they loved it also. They couldn’t stop laughing! The controls were easy enough for a 4 year old, we play with xbox controllers on PC. Just a really good couch game. The soundtrack goes perfectly with the game play and the special weapons are a good mix. 8 player madness. Highly recommended!!!!

Dogfighting… with actual dogs! And by that, I mean planes - of course. An incredibly fast paced plane party game, Incredibly enjoyable for a room full of laughs. Other animals also available.

If you’re looking for something to play when lots of people come over, do yourself a favor and put this on your wishlist.

Spirit of Glace

Spirit of Glace

Spirit of Glace is a story-rich, open world adventure platformer that tells the unforgettable tale of Glace, a small creature who suddenly appears out of nowhere during a strange experiment. Deemed an unwanted byproduct, Glace is cast away to a dying world where the inhabitants beg for help against a mysterious force.

In Spirit of Glace, players guide the little purple blob as he explores an unknown world rendered in gorgeous pixel art. Help Glace discover true purpose by finding his family and guarding their world against a coming withering darkness. Players will find a fresh platforming adventure as they run, jump, fight and ricochet through the environment.

Spirit of Glace is based on the original title, “Glace”, from 2004 and is a complete reboot/reimagination brought to you by the original developer.

Features:

  • An open world to explore at your own pace. Discover landmarks and revisit locations by roaming about on an overworld map (similar to Zelda 2). You’ll navigate grassy meadows, murky swamps, snowy mountains, moonscapes and much more.

  • A strong emphasis on story, quality lore, and attention to detail. Discover a world full of life, legend, and history.

  • Some fresh purple platforming action. Glace might be shy but he’s got moves. Falling off a ledge is just an opportunity to bounce off the floor and rocket back up with finesse. Dash mid-air, fling from ledges, ricochet off walls, and reach pretty much any place you can see (or not see).

  • Attack your foes with weapons that are just plain fun to use, like talking magical beads that shoot out, bounce around, and zip back to you.

  • Rebuild the world and unlock powers by doing so. Tend to a secret garden, help rebuild a village in the swamp, organize a penguin rebellion against the foe.

  • Experience an enchanting soundtrack carefully crafted by the composer of the original 2004 game.

  • Dozens of passive ability-enhancing relics to collect and upgrade.

  • Built for replaying. A rewind mechanic encourages you to take earned powers and game state to the next playthrough where you’ll experience new story elements and higher levels of challenge. Keep your relics, abilities, improved locations, etc.

  • Dynamic encounters within stages and dungeons that reorganize themselves after every playthrough.

EXPLORE THIS MAGIC UNIVERSE

Strange town is a very fun Multiplayer and local multiplayer role-playing game. You must find who the werewolf is in the morning and at night, you must fight and survive. Of course, hiding is a good option too.

The Roles:

Doctor: Runs to help the injured on the ground and heals them.

Protector: He is the firepower of the town with his hunting rifle. He is a person who is crucial to the survival of the town at night.

Villager: He is not a big threat with his close combat weapons, however, no one can underestimate the power of a group of villagers together.

Mayor: In the morning, he can execute the unanimously decided “Traitor” OR anyone else with his revolver.

WE-RRRE-WOLF: While just an ordinary person in the morning, turns into a ruthless killer at night. His aim is to slaughter all of the townspeople.

Think_

Think_

Think_ as a game is pretty mediocre. Although the game does have a few slightly relatable emotional moments, it lacks in it in lack of gameplay, it’s price (it should be worth a dollar or two or nothing at all), the abyssmal sprite work, glitches, and just in general play value or replayability. The game can be beaten in probably half an hour and is not worth the price it has. After being beaten, the game seems to leave you in a soft lock which leaves you with no way to play the game. The game lacks charm and all and all, the only thing I enjoyed in it was the music, when it wasn’t blasting my ears out of course. 2/10, would not recommend.

Real player with 1.9 hrs in game

I’m a sucker for short games with bad graphics, what can I say? The music is pretty good too. Only complaint is that the game doesn’t allow you to play it for a second time. I wanna see what happens if I name my character Paul :(. I don’t see an issue with the price, I just wanted to get rid of some money ngl.

Until You Fall

Until You Fall

Until you fall is a Roguelite swordfighting game. The basic gameplay is that you advance from room to room killing enemies and receiving powerups as you go. Enemy attacks are telegraphed and avoided by either aligning your weapons to block, or moving your head to dodge. Different weapons have different traits and special abilities, and you can mix and match any two weapons to come up with whatever combos you want to try. Each room and boss you beat awards currency which is used to unlock and upgrade your weapons, so there is progression between each run.

Have you ever played Infinity Blade? If you liked the combat style of Infinity Blade, then you’ll like the combat style of Until You Fall. This is NOT a realistic melee game, but that’s not what it tries to be. Until You Fall is an incredibly fun fantasy arcade-like melee roguelike. Gameplay is simple but very fun and intense (depending on the difficulty of your enemies). The weapon unlocks and upgrades are fun to experiment with, and the melee mechanics are very satisfying. Finally, I really really love the soundtrack - it’s very retro gamey.

Ghostrunner

I really loved this game.

some of the encounters were a bit annoying and poorly designed but figuring out the best way to win makes it all worth it

Its definitely good for those who enjoy the new DOOM games or really any advanced mobility game like titanfall, overkill, etc.

The devs owe me a new pair of hands after this..

Ghostrunner is all about reflexes, patterns, and timing, it’s a very complex game but sure it’s rewarding going through it.

Personally, i sucked a lot at it, because of some health issues my response time and anything that uses my brain has a snail effect on.

The game does have some assisting options (I really appreciate the devs for this), however, i didn’t use any of them because i was afraid it might affect the achievements.

This game was suggested to me by a friend on the basis of me being a die-hard Hotline Miami fan (and also Shadow Warrior), although, with Shadow Warrior it doesn’t have that much in common, the recommendation was spot on.
