10/10 do not hesitate to buy if you have people for couch co-op available. Absolutely fun with me and my girlfriend who doesn’t like games.

Basically like “who shot the sheriff/murder/wink murder” you played as a kid but with more blood.

Quick to pick up controls are easy, Likelyhood this will last for 1 - 3 hour game sesh with a large group of friends its that fun. More people the better but just 2 was great fun and all game mechanics still work with minimum amount of people.

Will be even more fun with a group likely next two weeks i will update when i have a party.

I will test next week with other friends.

Special mention for cutting noise, blood and dismemberment :D

Please note that there is no game mode for 1 player, you need at least 2 players

Edit : I played it again with 5 players, it was very fun thank yuo for the game

This is a very tentative thumbs up because the game is decent fun, but it’s marred by technical issues (walls with no collision detection, sound bugs, black frames) and a couple gameplay flaws (the camera). Here’s hoping future patches address some of these concerns.

If you’re using doors instead of blasting through walls, you’re doing it wrong. It’s a nice take on a twin stick shooter where you can’t kill or defeat things by shooting at them, but instead shooting them into things.

I love all the glitchy visual effects. Game is very light on story and humour is definitely very weird, but I’m liking it so far.

The Short of it: A fun throwback to NES era 8-bit run and gun action, but with a modern control feel that makes gameplay fast and responsive. Feels like a side-scrolling Doom in a good way; fast and dynamic play style.

Reminds me of: If you like games like Metal Slug and/or enjoy retro inspired indie titles, there’s a good chance you’ll like Cynoroid Gaiden. Also obviously reminds me of the original Cynoroid, which this is a general improvement of (still check it out if you enjoy Gaiden).

This game has huge potential. When it plays right, it’s addictive. The slow-mo 3D aim needs work, but the core game works pretty well. Some fine-tuning to the controls, more levels, and additions to the gameplay especially with the gun-fu moves (Adding more) this could go from a good game to a great game. Hope they update over time and soon. They have something here.

MENTAL

MENTAL

This has to be one of the coolest looking but worst playing games ever. It’s not just rough around the edges, it makes you bleed. From starting the game (it prompts the default Unity resolution and quality selector but doesn’t have the Index resolutions on it) to the absolutely horrible controls.

For instance:

The main menus are cluttered and start really far from you. The game also doesn’t properly detect the controller type so you have to manually select it. There is almost no sounds in the game, which when you turn the music off, because it’s really blaring, the tutorial was silent up until the point you break the walls.

first i want to address the bad reviews. there is a option in game for turning slow mo off when jumping.

second there is more content that a hours worth, i have no idea who could beat survival, the COD zombie like mode, in a hour.

there is wonky controls, but the weapons are fully articulated. so there will be some work needed there.

This game is definately growing on me. at first the clunky controls and some of the action being so chaotic was a bit difficult to deal with, for instance movement is too convoluted, and when your trying to make decisions at breakneck speeds it gets annoying. also theres some wonkyness with weapon handling, which is odd, and some physics issues ( im all up for slowing down the entire pace of the game, have a little more slow motion time, and making the physics heavier, so it feels like im really whacking them, then some grab zones need some reconfiguring.

IF this game was FREE, I would still NOT play it…Please stay away from this game…this was one of the worst experiences ever…first of all the game crashed about 3 times just trying to get it started, the launch screen looks like a mobile port from the first nokia device. I feel ripped off for getting charged a price like this…the actual game play was terrible, seriously not even early access, this is like a prototype of an idea. REFUND PLEASE!

Blade of Darkness

Blade of Darkness

As it is the case with many other people, Blade of Darkness brings a lot of good memories from my childhood back to me. However, at the time I didn’t understand the game too well, since I was just a child. I remember my cousin explaining to me how to do combos, but after I tried to do them a couple of times, I would just proceed to spam-click the left button. Now, after so many years I finally picked the game up again and, oh, boy, did I have a blast playing through it and beating it at the end! I would say the bosses are quite a challenge, but once you get the hang of the combat, you will have no problem with butchering them. All of the classes are unique and fun to play around with. At first the weapons seem basic, but each and every one of them has its strenghts and weaknesses, depending on the character that’s wielding it. Besides the base damage and defense the weapons and shields have, there are a lot of other different “hidden” stats like range, speed, hitbox radius and so on. And there are so many different places, secret rooms and hidden areas, containing all sorts of goods - food, potions and the best of all - special weapons with unique powers and moves you can perform with them! The enemies have patterns and at first they are a bit difficult to follow, but around the mid-game you are bound to be hacking and slashing body bits left and right. There is nothing more satisfying than dismembering Orcs and leaving their remains in a puddle of blood!
