L.S.D. (Lasting Spiritual Derangement)

DISCORD

L.S.D.

L.S.D. is a first person shooter set during a hallucinogen trip.

It’s a dream-like experience, in which things don’t seem to make sense. Because they don’t.

You keep waking up in different, weird open worlds. You have no choice but to explore them, trying to survive and to get back to reality as soon as possible.

Suddenly you’ll find yourself in magic medieval-like towns, fighting against fire-spitting dragons with a magic sword, then you’ll find handguns and rifles to attack fierce giant creatures that come right at you.

You keep waking up in mysterious, unexplored places.

You’re in a loop. You keep living the same moment again and again.

It’s up to you to decide how you’re going to live it.

Are you going to slaughter those dragon with your sword, or are you going to let them rip your head off?

Will you try to wake up from this nightmare? Or will you take control of your dreams?

What you’ll find in this game:

  • Giant open worlds;

  • Creatures that try to kill you;

  • A psychotic narration;

  • Magic swords;

  • Very loud rifles;

  • Very loud handguns;

  • More creatures that try to kill you;

  • Things that blow up for no reason:

  • Even UFOs! Maybe. I’m not supposed to talk about it.

The game also features original music by Salvatore Palermo.

And all of this for about the price of a cheap cinema movie ticket!

Keep in mind that L.S.D. is being developed by a solo, but very passionate, indie developer! That’s me!

If you got this far and you’re reading this then it basically means that we’re friends, so I’ll stop using the third person.

L.S.D. is my very first commercial game. I love creating games that feature open worlds and that let me channel my creativity in unusual ways.

That’s how I came up with the idea for L.S.D.

Since I’m all alone, sometimes I use some beautiful pre-made assets created by amazing artists that let their work be licensed online and I try to make the most out of them.

If you’d like to get notified about the game (and sales) at launch, make sure to put it in your wishlist!

Wishlisting L.S.D. is a great way to support me in creating the game of my dreams in a completely free way.

Feel free to contact me for feedback, advice and anything related to the project.

A Chamber of Stars

A Chamber of Stars

Each person has a universe inside of them.

A personal universe with characters influenced by the observable reality around them. Your friends, the fans, the local shop clerk, each person you pass without giving pause is another universe. You make up a story about them, they form a story about you. The universes expand.

I always wonder how similar our universes can be. You and I. Will I ever be able to pierce through and present myself, my real self, or will the information be lost in translation? The thing rattling around in our heads can’t be all that different. We both still get choked up over the same melodies, it’s only human to do so, right?

Maybe, if you would like it, I could play something for you. Lord knows your songs are still rattling around in my head.

The singularly named Starr, an enigmatic performer, guitarist and songwriter, has somehow survived the constant shifting tide of the musical landscape. Decade after decade, this artist has remained relevant in culture’s eye. After multiple personas, genre manipulations and controversies, the public is still buzzing. “What will Starr do next?” The rumors say their upcoming album will be the fated magnum opus…

A Chamber of Stars is the sequel to 2018’s The Endless Empty. Through six unique worlds the life of the rock n’ roll hero, Starr, will be pieced together. Exploration, choices and performances will change the course of a life and will alter the songs that are produced. A Chamber of Stars will feature a mix of classic adventure games, puzzle solving and unique rhythm game performances all within a fully realized surrealist universe.

Nothing heavenly or divine; just filthy mortal music here.

I’m trying to determine the best way to describe Space Hole 2020. Not necessarily a game, exactly. At least not in the way the equally amazing Space Hole 2016 and Space Hole 2018 were (in one opinion.) More the culmination of the reversal of everything the YEAR 2020 has turned out to be. It’s as if all the misery, pain and loss of Year 2020 was thrown into the air, but instead of falling, everything that made Year 2020 so awful converted into the various objects of their opposing beauty and wonder, music, color and art for gamers to explore and enjoy as Space Hole 2020. What you’ll quickly discover is that Space Hole 2020 is almost equally game and art installation (though not in a pretentious, scary or off-putting way,) And the music is a world of its own, and you likely find yourself as much experiencing the music as listening to it. Simply beyond description (which, I suppose, is a reasonably good description for the game in general, if “indescribable” can technically be used as a description.)

AENTITY

AENTITY

This game was on my wishlist for a long time and I honestly hesitated to get it, because I knew it would probably be quite demanding. When I eventually got it, I still didn’t get started on it for almost a week. Once I did, though, I played it for seven hours straight and took over 200 screenshots during that time. It was just as demanding as I expected it to be, but also quite rewarding because of it, and, in the end, it was one of the most fascinating games I’ve played in a long while.

AENTITY is rewarding, daring, fascinating, even confusing at times, but most of all a creative outlet for those who decide to go all in. It’s a game with rules to learn and secrets to discover, but also a tool for the aspiring artist – or the artist in need of inspiration – as well as a piece of art to meditate over. As a tool it takes some practice to understand what it can do – and what you can do with it – so be prepared to take a lot of screenshots while you learn and then cut them down to a handsome few – or keep them all if that’s your thing. ;) I was really picky when I went through mine and kept only like 10%.

I get abstraction….I get having no ambition or specific goal and just go with intuition in the invisible. I do get painting, arts, emptiness and minimalism… I am friend with every space called silence, void, nowhere and nothing.

But this…Hell no! I don’t know if people that do like this game are smoking weed and enjoy the psychedelic blurs of their screen!!? Maybe my pixel needs HD or a better Screen resolution?! I really don’t get it, didn’t enjoy it, getting to finish the game was a nightmare (getting all the achievements). I never want to play that game again ever. This is sad. So my only true opinion about this game is…Watch videos about a typical 15 minutes of game play and make a mind of your own about this because it is for sure a very peculiar game and maybe you will enjoy it, I didn’t. Bought the game 2 years ago for 4.48$. Can’t say I’m outraged. It’s ok even if I didn’t like the game it’s worth the try and it was intriguing enough but now I have enough… Uninstalling the game from my pc is a happy moment right now!

Altered Destiny

Altered Destiny

(Foreword: You may ignore my playtime; I played the crap out of this upon original release. Now I’m just having a bit of fun running around the world.)

Altered Destiny is an adventure game where the player controls the character with the arrow keys and types commands with the keyboard.

There are two specific issues I want to address with this review, which could affect your decision to purchase Altered Destiny:

1. This is the inferior MS-DOS version, and not the Amiga version, which has significantly better graphics. I realise there used to be some commercial rights issues with running Amiga games via emulators. However, Amiga Forever provides a solution for selling Amiga games on PC running through emulators. Publishers like this one should look into it.

~really nice games, good graphics, great sound effects, absolutely horrible music. Does anyone know of any way to turn the awful ‘music’ off ? ..and it would be great if the added more puzzles -or the ability to import some maybe, or a DLC pack ..?

Wonderful, immersive, mostly photorealistic environments. Pure ambience. Lots of potential, it’s really nice to have more high quality vr spaces to hang out in. Good value and much needed! Hope it continues to be developed/expanded.

Gripes/wishlist:

-proper knuckles controller support needed for hand model, object interaction, etc.

-only the pagoda environments allow teleportation, would be nice to add teleportation to some of the others (beach, etc.)

-not sure what the abstract space environment is supposed to be like, seems unpolished compared to the others, some glitches with meteor strikes

One year after getting my Rift S, I’m finally giving a VR game a review. I’m doing this because I was suprised at the price compared to quality of this “game”. This is simply a place to sit and relax with 6 different scenarios. It was much better than I expected. I’ve only tried three scenarios, and that was enough for me to wants to review this. Working in a very stressful job by day, I was hoping after a year of VR games, that I could find one where I’m not running from something, or trying to find a fuse to turn on the lights to find a key to a room with a clue, etc. Thanks to the developers for this and I will be following their work for their next “game”.

Katamari Damacy REROLL

Katamari Damacy REROLL

This is a public service announcement.

You may have noticed a highly voted negative review claiming that the game is unplayable without a controller due to a lack of key mappings.

This is not the case. The game does work with a keyboard - I have completed the entire game playing this way.

The problem is not with the key bindings but with how they are explained. I made the same mistake as the other poster when I first started playing but once you know how to use the keyboard it’s actually quite intuitive.

Real player with 26.3 hrs in game

I’ma split this into two reviews. One for people who played Katamari Damacy on PS2, the other for people who have never played it.

PS2 players: Hello. I too am old. This is in almost every respect the Katamari you remember. Except the visuals come in higher resolution (no pixels!) and everything loads quicker. There have been complaints that the game only runs in windowed mode until you’ve cleared the tutorial. Yup. True. After that you get access to the settings from Home Planet in the same way you accessed them on your PS2. This bothered me not at all. If you think it might bother you, you’ll want to take that into consideration. There have also been complaints that the game didn’t recognize controller input during the tutorial. No idea. Mine worked just fine with no configuration. Also, the story scenes involving the Hoshino family are presented in Japanese with subtitles, rather than the NSTC PS2 release’s divertingly weird English dub.

Have you ever been on the verge of proportionality?

This story is about a single person who was unsure of the nature of things and the physical integrity of things around him.

Everyday this man went to his job and dreamed of a time in which, it seems, he didn’t exist. Days dashed forward.

But then one day after our protagonist took the bus to work, he got off on…a ship.

This is an indie game created by one person who is completely in love with the idea of challenging genres.

An experiment that tries not to disrupt the tradition or to confuse the player but to instead argue under the framework which restricts the cultural impact on choice.

Attempt to transform the quest genre into a full adventure, excluding elements of discipline for mental stimulation.

GAMEPLAY FEATURES:

**•**Mix of genres and elements like art, adventure, puzzle, survival and metroidvania games.

The player is assisted by expressive mechanisms and visual compositions to understand the main goal of the game.

**•**Engage in converstaion as it is are a source of really useful information. Figure out why the characters in the game got into an argument with each other. Carrying a grudge from old times, which exists only in their faded, smudged eyes.

**•**Use your items from the inventory to induce change into Cube Town.

Perhaps it is not just a giant wall but instead a maze inside. Discover the Town’s secrets by exploring the slums and the factory districts.

**•**No need to be frightened by the unfamiliarity. Previously completed objectives will become hints to other players as well as to you.

**•**Health, stamina and thirst are non-renewable and are the player’s source for victory.

And while the protagonist can’t fill their thirst themselves, their enemy on the other hand, under some gameplay circumstances, can…

**•**There is only one boss in the whole journey that won’t leave you alone. His roots entangle every corner of the world. An eternal battle with a parasite that threatens to become a part of the environment.

**•**Immerse yourself into the vivid chamber, color the lives here and learn how to cooperate with darkness.
