Hundred Days - Winemaking Simulator
Time Played: 40Hrs
General Thoughts: Cute art, fun but unpolished niche game if you love spreadsheets, expensive for being unfinished
Pros:
-
Art is cute
-
Choices have consequences and you have to make adjustments every year
-
Each wine has its own personality and quirks to how to create it
-
I like having to make mistakes and suss out which wines have to be made which way
-
I like taking notes and refining my process
-
Chill game and late game is very relaxed
-
Devs are patching and incorporating suggestions

This game is everything you’re looking for in a wine management sim, with some fatal UI and design flaws that prevent it from being good. It is a highly complex game with a nuanced engine for deciding the quality of your wines - so many variables both plannable and random have to be contended with to make great wine. Even the progression as you get familiar with winemaking and grow your winery and its capacity is interesting. The game introduces you to its mechanisms via a cute little campaign that is enjoyable but unfortunately only does the most basic job of informing you how to work things. And now the flaw…

Memory Lost-Pairs™
This game exercises your memory. It comes with a Shapes theme and a Fruits theme (collections of images)
- There are additional Down Loadable Content themes available and many more coming (all very inexpensive)
The game has 3 button selectable difficulty levels (easy, medium, triplets).
-
There are rows of images, 8 images per row (so 3 rows for easy yields 3*8=24 image locations), but the images are ‘covered’ when play begins
-
Every play is different, the hidden image locations are randomly generated each time
-
The player clicks a pair of covered images to uncover them and see if they match. If they do not, they are covered again.
-
The player clicks a different pair to see what they are, and eventually discovers an image that matches a previous image
-
Now knowing the locations of a pair of matching images, the player clicks them and they stay uncovered.
-
The player repeats this process, remembering the location of new images, until all pairs are matched and uncovered
-
The game shows the players time, as well as the previous best time for that difficulty level
-
When players win and gain confidence, they can change the game to medium (6 rows yields 6*8=48 image locations)
-
When players become very confident, they can change to triplets of matching images (6 rows yields 6*8=48 image locations)
Since the score is based on fast times, it works best using a mouse to easily click squares.
-
you can also just relax and click, playing for fun and ignoring time
-
it is suitable for everyone, from children to seniors. Truly Family-Friendly
The initial base-game has a Shapes and a Fruits themes, but we have several up-coming downloads (all inexpensive) with other themes.

Recursive Dragon
This is a very simple little game, but it never pretended to be anything else.
This game is honest. This game would never lie to you.
It’s therapeutic to watch the dragon’s slithering movements as it travels through a simple but beautiful world.
I’d definitely recommend this game if you want a quick lil' game with a beautiful golden dragon.
You eat deers, dogs & bunnies as you dodge trees & mountain sides at high speeds.
Fun!

Don’t let the nice looking graphics in this one pull a fast one on you.. I like simple games and minimalist games as much as anyone, but this game is nothing more than moving your fancy snake (dragon) left and right being forced to use the arrow keys to do so. It’s an unspired game that might dazzle you into purchasing it with the fancy colors and pretty assets, but it’s not worth near the asking price.

Sentris
Sentris is definitely worth looking into if you have any interest in creating music. It reminds me of my days playing with software such as FruityLoops, but puts its own unique spin on things. I’ve enjoyed playing through the provided songs and am starting to create my own unique setups (as well as attempting to emulate some more widely-known music too).

Overall the game is a lot of fun, and quite a versatile tool once you get to grips with it. That said, there are a few features I would love to see implemented going forward. Primarily these are just additional expansions for added versatility when creating songs. It would be great to be able to select notes outside the standard scale that I choose, and to apply effects (such as reverb or echo) to specific instruments during remix.

I played an early version of this game at PAX last year and could not get my head around it. I dropped blocks haphazardly in to a wheel, not understanding what I was supposed to be doing and not enjoying the sounds I was creating. I walked away feeling embarrassed that I had failed to ‘get’ Sentris.
The tutorial in the release version immediately got me on the right track and removed my doubts about this game. Within five minutes I was creating funky loops that went beyond the tunes the game was feeding me and I felt the thrill of composition that I know the designer was aiming to inspire. There is a real satisfaction in building loops layer by layer and it is especially cool to see how the sound evolves as later layers start to push earlier ones out of the loop. The way the progression of songs helps you learn what the game has to offer in terms of depth is almost perfectly executed, the only thing that I struggled a little to figure out was how to change octaves in freestyle mode (you have to climb or descend the scale to reach the octave you want to play in).

Cyberflight
it’s a good game and i’m currently enjoying playing it, needs some enhancement though; however, and over all, it’s a good game for both the price and the game experience. for CyberFlight game developers: it would be nice if you released an update that makes the soundtrack non-stop and plays continuously without interruption even if the game resets after a collision. also, give us the option to change the controllers, to fully stop the car from advancing forward, better breaks, and better and easier physics. thanks.

Very simple game, nice game to play if you just want to relax and zone out. Would be nice if the music tracks kept playing until the end rather than resetting each time you crash.
