Train Valley 2
I loved Train Valley and although I initially preferred it as I play more of TV2 I realise this game is a bit better. It’s addictive laying tracks and trying to get the correct trains to the correct stations, upgrading them so they carry another carriage and go that bit quicker, and buying more trains so I can shift goods and people more efficiently. It’s easy to stuff up a single track route to have trains crash or go into the wrong station - but that is all part of the fun and puzzle aspect of the game. Striving to get 5 stars on each challenge is also always achievable (in my plays anyway) but might take you a few goes, which means a little bit of replayability for each map.

Create goods via different stations that rely on each other! Good gameplay, supported by a friendly community.
Solve the puzzle!
Every level is a puzzle: several towns require goods in order to finish the level. Those towns produce workers, which are required in most crafting stations. For instance, if the town needs glass, you first send workers to a sand excavation station. There workers are converted into sand over time. The sand then is transported to the glass factory, along with a new supply of workers. Finally the glass is transported to the town. The ratio is always 1:1. So before you start the level you can calculate how many workers need to go where.

Train Valley
I thought this would just be geometric puzzles.. figure out how to lay the tracks. But the creators took this into account by throwing an array of constraints at you:
A. Budget (both too much and too little)
B. Physical Constraints.. both “immovable” and “purchasable” where you pay to use the area
C. Scheduling Challenges.. not only the ones thrown by the game but a “must do” quantity of add-on trains you add at your choice of times in your game play.
D. Time Constraints.. each “location” has limited time to accomplish your work

This wasn’t what I was expecting. I was expecting a game like transport tycoon made more simple and kid-friendly that I could let my niece play when she came over. (She likes trains.) Instead, this game is basically one of those traffic-manager games, although it does feature pausing. Space is severely cramped, forcing multiple trains to share the same tracks since there isn’t room for the parallel tracks you’d normally use, and so managing traffic flow and multitasking are the name of the game.

The Tree
Good art and sound design, but the game is too buggy and the tutorial is bad. Sometimes I can’t place pieces anywhere and the game doesn’t let me do anything.

Oraxum Trials
Exiled as an outcast, the alchemist lived a life that many would pity. The alchemist became a revered name whispered across the streets, often being sought out to conduct dangerous and bewildering experiments. Forever being hunted by the Katedral Academy, the alchemist wished to test the limits of sorcery and forge their own path.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Oraxum Trials is an incremental puzzle game where you conduct complex experiments with the Oraxum, a hexagon-shaped board with magical properties. Master using the Oraxum — the alchemist’s greatest tool — and harness the power of mystical crystals, sigils and more.
Complex Puzzles - Every puzzle has multiple solutions, but you are given the freedom to create your own. Fill up your Oraxum for mana generation, utilizing both energy and corruption to your advantage. Conductors, reservoirs and other tiles can be used to create a solution.
Narrative Cutscenes - Grow your skills as an alchemist and discover the world with narrative
cutscenes. Make lasting friendships, face perilous enemies and uncover hidden secrets
throughout your journey.
Prestige and Upgrade - After performing enough experiments, take your gameplay to the next level by prestiging. Gain access to talent upgrades and acclimation points, all of which will have a permanent effect on your story and gameplay.
Decide Your Legacy - You control your own fate. Will you embrace the dark or light magical arts? Or perhaps you would rather maintain the perfect balance? A true alchemist knows their craft, and only you have the power to decide your legacy.
Prison Tycoon: Under New Management
Good thinks first:
-
2 point hospital style is great for this, UI and control is great
-
Actually difficult eco, it is not easy to balance thinks…
Thinks which must be updated:
-
Nobody cares about building cells. Allow copy/paste of buildings (just like 2PH have room classes across games. This is must have). To build one, two is fine, to build 40 is just a waste of time.
-
Cleaning of the rooms is broken. Sometimes items in the room cannot be cleaned for what ever reason (fckng toilet seat cannot be cleaned) and the maintenance guy looses all his stamina on one item. Then he goes to the rest and another one comes in and spend his stamina on the same item. I have to manually move the item - then it is fine. This could be “fixed” using magic trick - maintenance cleans the room as a whole, not per item.

I love these kind of games but there could be improvements such as:
1. It would be good to have workshops that prisoners can learn new skills that will help them get a job after they leave prison. There are therapies available that treat their disorders but Workshops are different and is there so they can learn new things in order to adjust to the society once they go back. Such as cooking classes, learning a new musical instrument, learning foundations of business and finance 101.
Then you will be able to hire professional chefs, musicians, lecturers to come and teach.

VIP Rebels
" The horn sounds…, the gate opens,… YOUR RUN STARTS NOW! …"
How to play
You will start each game selecting three VIPs, each with their own unique special skill. After you select your VIP, you start your run. Whenever you start a run, you’ll choose how many villagers you use to collect resources like wood, food, and gold. The villagers drop resources at your treasure wagon and look for new sources automatically throughout the run.
When the gate opens, you will enter the procedurally generated lands of the Red, where you’ll need to get as far as you can in order to claim the best rewards. Venture further and further and more secret rewards and treasure will be granted.
You’ll have VIPs such as King Midas who has the ability to turn enemies into gold, the Viking, a dragon-summoning Nordic god, Blackbeard the pirate, ordering deadly cannonballs to obliterate enemies, or the Rocket Man with the power to land two rockets simultaneously on top of your enemies. These are just a few of the 25 VIPs that you’ll encounter along the way. More are planned and I’m looking to bring this number closer to 100.
There are big pirate armies that lie ahead of you, with bands of rebels hidden away in bushes and villages to slow your progress. Whether castles stand in the way or not, you will need to overcome the odds and create an army with the right mixture of units to counter the enemies ahead of you. Will you pick archers to mow down the slow infantry and risk them being charged down by cavalry? The choice is yours.
Once you finally get stopped, you’ll collect treasure and rewards, unlock, and upgrade more VIPs and return to the open gate once more.
So in short:
-
Select unique VIPs giving you strategic advantages.
-
Collect resources and build your army.
-
Take control of dragons and transform sheep into bloodthirsty warmachines
-
Win & lose big battles in your fight for loot.
-
Claim big rewards, unlock and upgrade new VIPs as you progress.
Quick note of the developer
_Hi there,
I just wanted to say thanks for showing an interest in the thing I’ve been passionate about for the last 3 years. We’ve made this journey together and I hope that you’re as hyped about this project as I am. :)
I started out wanting to create an RTS game for the Age of Empires fan inside me that doesn’t have the ability to sink hours into playing a game. The game is a bunch of quick fun runs, intertwined with big battles and resource gathering. On average, each run should take between 10 and 15 minutes.
If you like what I’m doing here and want to keep updated, please add the game to your Steam Wishlist to support me.
I will always love you for it!
¯_(ツ)_/¯
