One day before departure, Minna was told that “Electric Eel” Janus White will also be joining the team. Being depressed for a very long time since retirement, the former footballer signed himself up to the project. A relaxing game though not without its challenges. The scenery helps create a cathartic atmosphere while you breeze about piecing together some pretty poetry. Good for a casual gamer to chill out to.

It’s a Flower clone of sorts. Expected it to be before I bought it though. Except this time instead of flower petals, it’s a single leaf.

Your aim in this game is to go around collecting glowing square thingies in order to make up a poem in each level. Kinda expected something MORE akin to Flower, but I’ll take it. Still a decently chill game to play. The OST is also nice.

That SAID however, after you finish the first 6 levels, to play more of the game, you need do those 6 levels AGAIN but without touching anything. Just feels more like a chore than anything. I gave up at the “repeated” third level, because the wind is just ridiculous and works against you and it’s annoying (and the controls don’t help either, since they aren’t the most fluid thing ever (though not “bad” either)). No offense, but it just takes away from the “relaxing” factor and feels like forced replayability. I’m not a fan of that. Will either push myself to see the rest of the game at some point soon or refund the game, haven’t really decided yet. But yeah, I’m very in the middle with this one tbh.

Under Leaves

Under Leaves

Under Leaves is a hidden Object game pure and simple. On a map of the world you are given many different locations, each location is a different stage to complete all related to different animals indigenous to the location on the map. Each stage is beautifully crafted. A real work of love! The fact that each level has a certain color scheme give it a certain style but also makes it surprisingly challenging, just enough to keep my interest through the whole game.

Pros

  • For those who likes the extra challenge, there’s 29 achievements. One for each stage and one extra for finishing the game without help.

Relaxation Mode is cranked up to 11 in this simplistic watercolour hidden object game.

https://youtu.be/22PmPXLsZXU

You start off on a world map with 21 dotted circles on it. Each level is associated with an animal from that region, and as you complete the levels the map gradually fills with pictures of these animals.

You’re introduced to a level by clicking the X on the central animal, which then shows you a speech bubble containing several small icons of the objects you’re looking for (small animals, seeds, fish etc), and the number of items to be found. The overall canvas is split between 3-5 screens, and as you find/click the objects you move on to the next either via the white arrows, or by dragging. You can zoom in and out by double-clicking and then drag the screen around to inspect each area of the panel. When you find the final item you then report back to the main animal whereupon there’s a very short animation of baby animals appearing, plants growing or a shoal of fish swimming by. And that, ladies and gentlemen, describes the entire game.

Campground Owner

Campground owner is very suitable to your needs.

I recommend picking a map with more land then water. You can pick seasons (Winter, Spring, Summer, Fall).

In creative mode, you have unlimited cash. I almost always do creative mode. If you want to put anything on the map, I’d recommend that. There is also a survival mode where you have to earn money. You can get that from campers.

If you like to speed up time, press 1(slow), 2 (medium), 3( super fast).

You can’t put different camper’s tent, chairs, grill, or camper together, or it will show the camper’s gear red.

Fun game for some time, I really like being able to place the items of campers down myself in spots that give the most money, and it’s fun trying to get all stars and see money go up.

There are some downsides though, some quality of life improvements that I would like to see.

Once a camper is placed, you cannot see info about them, like with how many they are, how much they’ll pay or for how long they stay. You can see this when they ask to be placed, but still would be nice to keep track of the stay’s duration.

Short adventure about healing people’s inner worlds from corruption

You play as Azure the frog healer in the village floating on the sky. The lands of people’s inner world’s have been corrupted by dark-ooze and the only way to stop it from spreading all over the environment is by cleaning it. The corruption may spawn vile creatures, who spread the corruption further. Use your trusty cleangun to shoot foam that corrodes the vile spread and the hydration spell slab for rejuvenating the lands. It is your duty to heal the villagers, will you help?

It is up to you to clean the spreading vile corruption, so pick up your cleangun and start blasting!

Each area’s corruption is unique in some way and as the corruption mutates, don’t be frightened though as your array of tools will also upgrade along the way.

After getting the corruption cleaned the lands are dry and lifeless, that’s there the hydration spell slab comes in.

Use the hydration spell to breath new life into the lands like a painter with a blank canvas, the environment will thank you!

You live in a small village on a floating island somewhere high above the clouds, oddly enough you or the other villages don’t know how you and the others got there in the first place.

The village is cozy and peaceful, away from problems of the other worlds and a home for you and others. You’ll also have your own house to decorate and furnish to your liking, pick up those hydration crystals to buy some furniture!

Little Mouse’s Encyclopedia

Little Mouse’s Encyclopedia

I was conflicted on this one, whether to give a positive review or not.

First the positive notes: this is a nice educational program that helps to fill the gaps in the basics of flora and fauna.

I learned a lot of things I didn’t know, so I’m satisfied with that part of the “game”.

The graphics is fine and also the sounds, which really put you in the atmosphere of the forest, field, pond and garden.

So what is the problem? The problem is that this is not a game, lol.

This is an educational application, mostly for kids. It doesn’t offer anything else but reading.

Real player with 9.8 hrs in game

I’ve got the game for my kid and he enjoyed it a lot. We first bought it on App Store but then I bought it here on Steam specifically to leave a review, so that games like this get better traction. If you’re a happy owner like me, I do encourage you to also support the developer in this way.

What I love about this game? It’s like a small encyclopaedia, making discovery of new facts easy and fun. I’m so, so tired of commercial mainstream “games for kids” that mostly exploit the love of children to the brands and characters already established in film/TV. Here, the game is like an open book inviting your kids to play with it in a variety of ways, always learning in the process.

Suddenly Meow

Suddenly Meow

It’s the best Macht 3 game I’ve played for many reasons that I’ll explain:

Generally this genre is based only on matching 3 or more gems or objects and scoring, it can be good as a pastime but it is a bit of a repetition because you always do the same things every level.

“Suddenly Meow” is different because you do not have to match gems at random, but according to a scheme that we must understand to create a road and allow our cat to get to the fish.

Each level changes because while we play we have to break boxes, run magnets to move objects, cut down bushes to find hidden objects and more; it is not a passive game but active because it is necessary to reason and understand how to set a suitable path for Tim

Real player with 9.3 hrs in game

Suddenly Meow is a match 3 that took me by surprise. It was exceptionally good and refreshing! I would categorize it as classic puzzle and not just a simple match 3. This is not only because it runs in 3 different modes (relaxing, limited moved and timed) but mainly because of the “tasks” you need to do to clear each level. The first 20-30 out of 90 levels keep introducing you to new mechanics and “tasks” as well as mini games and your hideout (aka a type of “level up” system).

You are trying to help the cat make its way through the forest that got lost in. The introduction of the new elements in the puzzles are very smooth and clear and if you get confused, a help book is available to remind you of how it works. You also get a hideout early on in which you unlock various power ups and decorate your cat’s hideout with them.
