DOGNUTS

DOGNUTS

More than a greedy and adorable dog, it’s a challenging game and at the same time a lot of fun, but it’s going to be hard to fatten this dog up, my donuts are on the way :(

Cute physics/logic game.

Some levels are quite provocative, in the sense of how many different aprouches you can use to win.

Very nice.

Panic Mode

Panic Mode

In a world full of hazards, the “if it ain’t broke” line of thinking has lead to quite a precarious situation. Instead of taking preventive caution like say, fire escapes, instead the only company on the planet decides to hire you as a crisis manager. Use the corporate-provided tools (oft comprised of dangerous materials themselves) to prevent imminent chaos and guide the alien species known as ‘Pammies’ to safety.

In each location an accident is bound to happen. First, set up your equipment in the space. When things kick off, use your tools to mitigate the calamity that would otherwise cause all of the pammies to perish. Save the pammies! Or don’t; the company will keep you on as crisis manager regardless of your performance.

Save the Dodos

Save the Dodos

Save the Dodos is a highly addictive puzzle game where the aim on most levels is (surprise surprise) to save as many Dodos as you can. There are 4 worlds and each world has 25 levels in it to complete. Most of the time you are asked to save a set number of Dodos, though some levels will ask you collect fruit and store it away in a nest or simply survive for a certain amount of time whilst avoiding enemies and enviromental hazards. As you progress through the world’s the enemies become tougher and more in numbers on some levels, but the game does a good job of never making you feel overwhelmed to the point of rage quitting. As with most good puzzle games you will spend ages looking at a puzzle and trying to figure out the solution, only to see it was staring you in the face all along. The art beautifully done and the soundtrack is one that you can happily listen too in the background without ever feeling the need to mute it. For anyone who likes the classic game Lemmings or if you just enjoy a good puzzle game then this game is a must play. Also at £1.99 the value for money is great :)

Save the Dodos is a modern Lemmings game with dodos! Use the mouse to swap the terrain around and make sure all your derpy dodos reach the exit safely without getting killed. The game has 100 levels to complete.

I’m quite impressed by the game! The terrain is divided in smaller squares. You use the mouse to swap the terrain both horizonal and vertical. The levels get more challenging as you move on, but some levels have some clever loopholes that make them very easy once you figured it out. You start with just the standard dodo, but as you move on you’ll unlock different dodos that have some unique ability compared to the original one. This can make a level extra easy or hard (depending on what youre trying to do).

/b Lite Quick Early Access

This is a quick lite play. Each round you get to pick a few monsters from a random pool to add to your roster, and allocate up to 6 monster groups to each section of the dungeon (you start with only one section, but it grows over rounds to eventually reach five sections).

After you set up for a round, the action starts. The invaders come from above, and you send your monsters (scattered around the section) to intercept the invaders. Once the fight starts it is hard to see individual units, because they all clump up. Your dead monsters gradually respawn in their original locations, so you repeat the process of sending them back to the fight.

Takelings House Party

Takelings House Party

Picked this up as it’s one of the few asymmetrical VR games out there. Ultimately, it’s probably the best VR game you could play with friends. The concept is genius and it’s always a fun time when you’re chasing down your friends. It’s fun to replay the levels and there’s a few items/objects to spice things up.

The major downside to this game is simply the content. There’s only 3 levels, and while they’re all fun, I wish there was many many more. This game is so good you just want there to be tons and tons of levels. It only takes maybe an hour to pretty much see all there is to this game. I’ve still got 5x that, purely on replay-ability.

We’re a family of 5, ages 6+, and this game is quite a LOT of fun! Yes, it’s only got 3 levels…but to give everyone a chance to play every level in VR just once…that’s 15 rounds across 5 people! This game is NOT overpriced, and will be a family-game-night staple in our household as-is, but I WOULD NOT suggest it with fewer players - this is a PARTY game.

The kitchen level is really really good, though. The attic is really fun while the wall-breaking is really difficult. I suspect that they only get better with more players.

Tomb Rumble

Tomb Rumble

It’s like a Celeste and Towerfall mixup,

Instead of an strawberry you have to get a crystal, and instead of using arrows to kill others you use traps

Oh, and you can create your own maps, pretty cool

After trying this game out for a short while, I can say two things for sure:

1. While it’s clearly not a Transformice, this game creates a very similar fun and enjoyable vibe

2. I want to actually play Tomb Rumble more!

The pixel visuals fits perfectly for a MMO platformer, and controls are quite good - so far I didn’t had any trouble with movement, which in that kind of game is important. I can’t say much about

I suggest you to try the game yourself, since Tomb Rumble is a free to play title. It doesn’t take much space on HDD, you don’t need to create any external accounts to play it, and each game/level doesn’t take much time. Since Tomb Rumble launched just recently, there are many people playing it online so you won’t get bored.

Cobots

Cobots

This is a cool little game with a great artstyle! The puzzles get progressively more difficult (a good thing), and if you get stuck you can probably think of solutions from previous levels to get hints to progress further.

10/10, would fall into the void again.

Interesting and cute puzzle game by setting the actions of robots.

You must consider both the order and interaction between them,

and can try different ways to collect all the chips (achievement).

If you like little game / logic action game, Cobots is a good choice.

(It takes about 4.5~5 hrs to complete all the achievements)
