PAWARUMI
Pawarumi is a fantastic vertical shmup and one of the best of all time. Great graphics, great music, three different difficulty settings with the easiest being super easy and laid back for newcomers and the hardest being perfect for those looking for a traditional bullet hell challenge featuring a crazy true final boss encounter at the end w/ a true ending.
Includes an in-game gallery achievement menu, a Practice mode to play individual stages (and being able to go for achievements that can be unlocked on those specific stages). The game’s three color weapon/enemy color system is quick and easy to pick up on and the game implements the system perfectly, allowing you to score more points, refill your health meter (Shield) and refill your bomb meter (Super). Each stage is really well designed and different from one another, with each section throwing something entirely new at you beyond just new enemy ship types. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a fun and challenging vertical shmup with tons of replay value =)

I kickstarted this game and haven’t been disappointed. To call it an indie game really doesn’t do it justice - the level of polish is very high. Nice 2.5D graphics that are reminiscent of Radiant Silvergun or Zero Gunner 2, interesting weapon mechanics and a deep scoring system really make Pawarumi stand out among ‘indie’ games, and with just about the right level of difficulty not to scare beginners off. The game has 5 levels each with it’s own unique theme - first level is a snow base, second is a weapons factory set in industry and lava, find the rest out for yourself :-p. With mid bosses and bosses that you can blow bits off to maximize score, anyone who’s played shooters before will be right at home. Only real omission is the lack of a 2 player mode. Definitely worth £12.99 of anyone’s money!

Very good for an indie game. It’s simple, but really entertaining. The felling you get from going through all those track, each with unique styling and themesong - it really gives you chills :D. I hope this “arena mode” will get developed further, I also hope for new levels in the future ;).

This game is amazing. You should buy it.
There are certain games that are just special. This is one of them. I put it up there with Nex Machina as an impeccable arcade experience that will have you throwing your control in frustration and then rushing to the store to buy another.
It’s will feel wierd at first, but once you “get it”, the experience is invigorating. The speed, the precision, the challenge.
You’ve probably noticed the amazing aesthetic + music, which provides a lovely backdrop for your hours of playing the same level over and over trying to shave off seconds or complete one of the games devious challenges. Good stuff, but the real meat here is the gameplay.

Super fun fast-paced grappling hook platformer with smooth acrobatic movement, fantastic level and enemy design, and satisfying dash-into-enemies combat that will make you wonder why other grappling hook games don’t do combat this way. The controls make it very easy to pick up, especially considering it’s a grappling hook game, but it’s still ridiculously hard to master; I’d argue that some of the optional end-game challenge levels are even harder than the equivalent levels in Celeste.
It has a ton of levels, hidden collectibles and optional challenges, e.g. “finish this stage without touching the ground” or “finish this stage without using the grappling hook more than X times”, like the similar “only use X portals” challenges in Portal. I bought this after randomly seeing it in my Steam discovery queue and ended up getting waaaay more polish and content than I expected, along with super tight momentum-based controls. Highly recommended!

Neonverse Defenders
An interesting and very competent Tower Defense title. Picked up on sale, otherwise it might have passed me by - there were no reviews. Had I seen the SpecOps review I probably (unfortunately) would have given it a miss. That said, in retrospect I would have been happy to pay full price.
There is a good Tutorial to introduce you to the basics and I would suggest playing each of these 6 levels a couple of times to let the information sink in. The game has a mine of information (you just have to dig around a bit) so don’t let it pass you by.

Caladria Chronicles
I won’t hide it, this game is something of an amusing trainwreck, trying to do way too many ambitious things at once and missing the mark on most of them. Specifically:
-
The voice acting is not awful like the other review suggested, but it’s definitely a mixed bag. Not only some voiced don’t really work, but also there are some missing of misplaced lines, which is just distracting. Secondary characters are not always voiced.
-
The humour is very much hit-and-miss and especially with the main characters, the six friends, the game tries to be funny a bit too hard – there’s no place for real character development in all of this.

I may have received the game free but this is an honest review
1st off the pros and cons as I see it
Pros
Really nice art
Proper understandable English
Decent story
Interesting and diverse characters
Cons
I’m sorry but this is horrible voice acting, I played with ‘Voices OFF’
BGM a few are nice but many are annoying ended up playing with ‘Music OFF’ half way through
BGM and Gallery fully unlocked before playing the game (Avoid if you don’t want CG Spoilers)
The Opening song sounds like a HORRIBLE 90s song, the vocal and music is just painful! (Sorry if it’s rude but it’s true!)

Galaxy’s Extreme
This game has a lot of potential. I would love to see replays implemented, as well as after the race machine cams, kinda like F Zero GX has. The game runs great, looks amazing, and has super tight controls. I highly recommend this game to any fans of F Zero, Wipeout, or if you just like fast racing games.

Very polished and futuristic racer. Soundtrack is very atmospheric with a hint of 90s dance! Played for about 20 minutes and there are lots of tracks and many ships to unlock which i guess the more you play and advance through the game you can unlock.
The graphics are impressive and the speed is fast but you don’t find yourself crashing into the side of the track a lot trying to control the ships! When you do crash you don’t lose a lot of time trying to catch up to the other ships and trying to gain back your position.

Hanoi Puzzles: Flip Match
A simple change in the game mechanic gives the puzzles a new way to solve. I am just as happy with this game as the previous version.
Some puzzles are straight forward early on to learn some basic concepts of moving and solving. Then later the solutions are not as obvious and you get to plan out your moves. But if you dont want to solve for the minimum moves, you can just move as much as you want. Being able to move to the next level with the “correct” solution, is huge for me.
The music is still calm and fits the style. Some of the music is a little bit… stronger or more aggressive compared to the previous game, but still calm and in the background.

Very challenging puzzles and the soundtrack is really good,

Immense Threat
Immense Threat is a classic-style adventure platformer in a futuristic setting. The game takes you on a quest to liberate the chickens from wicked Consumers.
What exactly is this game?
It’s a 2D platformer mixed with a shooter - at times you will simply jump from platform to another, avoiding traps. At other times, you will be forced to fight with enemies. Take aim and fire! Just be mindful - which weapon to use? Maybe conserve ammo and fight bare winged? Or maybe you can simply run right past through? You decide!
So what’s the story?
In the future, the evil people, called the Consumers, will rise to power and exploit the livestock to the fullest. But a few chickens will not have that! Join the resistance group and show those Consumers, who the real Immense Threat is!
Anything else? Some features, perhaps?
Story with twists
Think everything is so simple? Well, that’s not how the life is, goes double for these brave chickens!
Over 20 levels
The adventure consists of over 20 levels, riddled with deadly traps and dangerous enemies, along with powerful bosses.
Weapons and upgrades
On your quest, you will make use of 20 weapons - from ordinary stones, through pistols and rifles, to plasma guns. To further increase your chances of survival, collect the chicken currency, Middlings, or Midds for short, to buy upgrades between the missions. Also, try to look for secrets to gain additional advantage!
Speaking of secrets…
Also collect the Golden Midds to get additional, free power ups!
3 difficulty levels
Feeling confident? Try the challenging “Hard Out Here For a Rooster” difficulty level! Or maybe you’ve got an itchy trigger feather? Then you may want to check out the “Bigger Threat” level, in which… Well, let’s just say, you won’t have to worry about sparing ammo.
