The Legend of Eratus: Dragonlord

The Legend of Eratus: Dragonlord

Play match-3 to unlock parts of a short fantasy story and ‘fight’ dragon bosses. That’s about it.

The music was really nice though.

It’s a real nice candy crush game with a narrated story and dragon theme :3

There is surely much more story-wise than I’ve expected in such a game, so we get 2 small cutscenes, self contained story about a girl and her dragon friend and all is delivered piece by piece every few levels of candy crushing of mixed difficulty.

Hard to say much about the gameplay as if you played any candy crush or “match-3” you already know what this is. I just want to say that’s a real nice feel to have a full single player experience without typical to mobile counterparts ads, locking behind lives telling you how much you can play or steps to make before you auto lose a level and of course having to hold back with power ups because you get so little…

Weaving Tides

Weaving Tides

A dream comes true… which we owe to the developers of Weaving Tides!

I backed the Kickstarter, already played the prologue and the beta demo for many hours, and now its final release - and I’m delighted!

This game brings a completely new technique and approach to gameplay, that is absolutely fun, but often requires a change in thinking! Whether it’s the style of defeating enemies, solving clever puzzles or discovering secrets or the very well thought out equipment - everything is just so nicely put into the shape of textile and fabrics and the woven world!

I knew this was a creative idea when I realized how difficult it was to explain to my friends- “It’s like, you’re like a needle and thread- but the needle is a dragon and you stitch bad guys away?” LOL

Weaving Tides is a great game; Fun, creative, visually appealing. Lots of neat moments and a satisfying level of progression. Not too long if you’re looking for a compressed experience, but plenty to chew on if you’re looking for more! The biggest downfall is one of the bosses I couldn’t really figure out (snake) and the rabbit munching puzzle- not sure if I did it right but I figured something to get through it. Both those puzzles left me feeling, like… I didn’t /really/ solve them. That aside, those are small things in a whole pile of great!

Furry Shakespeare: Oops! All Dragons!

I do so enjoy these quirky little stories! Oh and I totally am not even slightly biased at all about the cast of this one all being dragons ; p

What can I say if you have played any of the games by Stegalosaurus and enjoyed them, this one will bring you more of what you have enjoyed in the past. Humor? Check! Strange unexpected plot twists? Check! The option to take things seriously and try to make the right choices, or say to Hades and blow it all up on purpose? You bet! Opportunities to meddle in other peoples lives and relationships, while pointedly ignoring your own? lol of course! hmmmm here’s a new one, love triangle???? Well some one does mention the idea…. But I havnt found it yet (although the two who “play” brother and sister would really make for an incredibly confusing one! lmao I can see it now….. but yeah that doesnt happen).

VIP Rebels

VIP Rebels

" The horn sounds…, the gate opens,… YOUR RUN STARTS NOW! …"

How to play

You will start each game selecting three VIPs, each with their own unique special skill. After you select your VIP, you start your run. Whenever you start a run, you’ll choose how many villagers you use to collect resources like wood, food, and gold. The villagers drop resources at your treasure wagon and look for new sources automatically throughout the run.

When the gate opens, you will enter the procedurally generated lands of the Red, where you’ll need to get as far as you can in order to claim the best rewards. Venture further and further and more secret rewards and treasure will be granted.

You’ll have VIPs such as King Midas who has the ability to turn enemies into gold, the Viking, a dragon-summoning Nordic god, Blackbeard the pirate, ordering deadly cannonballs to obliterate enemies, or the Rocket Man with the power to land two rockets simultaneously on top of your enemies. These are just a few of the 25 VIPs that you’ll encounter along the way. More are planned and I’m looking to bring this number closer to 100.

There are big pirate armies that lie ahead of you, with bands of rebels hidden away in bushes and villages to slow your progress. Whether castles stand in the way or not, you will need to overcome the odds and create an army with the right mixture of units to counter the enemies ahead of you. Will you pick archers to mow down the slow infantry and risk them being charged down by cavalry? The choice is yours.

Once you finally get stopped, you’ll collect treasure and rewards, unlock, and upgrade more VIPs and return to the open gate once more.

So in short:

  • Select unique VIPs giving you strategic advantages.

  • Collect resources and build your army.

  • Take control of dragons and transform sheep into bloodthirsty warmachines

  • Win & lose big battles in your fight for loot.

  • Claim big rewards, unlock and upgrade new VIPs as you progress.

Quick note of the developer

_Hi there,

I just wanted to say thanks for showing an interest in the thing I’ve been passionate about for the last 3 years. We’ve made this journey together and I hope that you’re as hyped about this project as I am. :)

I started out wanting to create an RTS game for the Age of Empires fan inside me that doesn’t have the ability to sink hours into playing a game. The game is a bunch of quick fun runs, intertwined with big battles and resource gathering. On average, each run should take between 10 and 15 minutes.

If you like what I’m doing here and want to keep updated, please add the game to your Steam Wishlist to support me.

I will always love you for it!

¯_(ツ)_/¯

EarthNight

EarthNight

EarthNight is an absolutely fantastic runner game, where you skydive (spacedive?) though each successive atmosphere, while landing on, running across, and slaying massive dragons. You can tell how much love and passion was poured into this game from every angle.

Every run, you collect pieces of the dragons, which unlock new temporary power-ups when collected for the first time. These power-ups then show up on runs, and you have to collect them to get their temporary effects. You can also use your currency, water, to buy the power-ups early, if you’re finding a dragon too difficult or not fun and just want the power-up. You also collect eggs each run. Every dragon has 3 eggs, each one makes you do more damage against that dragon on that run. Eggs and dragon pieces are also used for upgrading your items and water tank.

Auto-Stunner

Yes. Get it. Or play it on Apple Arcade. This is such an interesting one.

This weirdness. A seven years in the making autorunner from a studio whose founder said of the genre ‘People got bored because it’s boring.’ THAT’S where you need to start when you’re aiming to upend a genre. Also, a title pitched to bring mobile gaming its own Spelunky. You could say it was unpunctual to that aim given the releases we now see on the small screen or, perhaps, just in time for Apple Arcade’s mainstreamification. In any case, what a mission statement; what a millstone of expectation and prospects round a studio’s first game’s neck. How’d it do?

Spyro™ Reignited Trilogy

Spyro™ Reignited Trilogy

A fun and sometimes very challenging game.

Gameplay is focused on collecting everything in every level, with some basic environmental puzzles and simple combat to keep things interesting. The remake seems to stay true to its occasionally outdated old-school roots, which means difficulty swings widely between cool and casual to punishingly difficult. If you’re a completionist then get ready to sweat: there are time-based precision challenges. Most are fair and can be beat with a lot of practice, but a few really made me question my life choices.

I’m giving a positive review because the game does not deserve a bad review at all, but a lot of times the game feels clunky. If they bothered to patch the issues it could probably be in a better state.

The artwork / graphics seems to be the highest regard here. It’s amazing.

Music was there but nothing insanely amazing either. It’s alright.

The gameplay is what I have problems with, I like the basic levels best, exploring, collecting, beating enemies it feels nice but the jumping sometimes annoyed me when u try to make a jump and he slides of the edge instead.

Bor doesn’t offer anything game changing in the realm of platforming mechanics, but is still very enjoyable with enough content to back up its price.

Plenty of better indie platformers out there. THis is nothing special if it isn’t in fact a asset flip.

Furry Shakespeare: Dashing Dinosaurs & Sexy Centaurs

Furry Shakespeare: Dashing Dinosaurs & Sexy Centaurs

First let me just start by saying, Dont let the Title fool you. This story is just amazing. It will certainly make you laugh here and there, but you are almost certainly going to need a box of tissue too. For all of you out there, who like me, never really got Romeo and Juliet, here’s another shot at it. One that throws away all the almost impossible to read phrasing, and instead presents the story and even more importantly the story around the story in a way a modern reader can easily understand.

In “Dashing Dinsaurs & Sexy Centaurs” you´re put in the role to be the director of a play “Romeo and Juliet”.

Your job is to tell actors (that are added / hired during the progression of the game) how to perform on stage. This training takes you 5 weeks and after 5 weeks you perform your play in front of an audience… afterwards criticians will review your play.

There are many choices how to design the play and so this game has a high replay value. Also these decisions are bound to archeivements so if you´re into archeivements you can get some archeivements here by re playing the game.
