Eco Park

Eco Park

DISCLAIMER: This is a first impressions review, and NOT a full review

Eco Park is a game developed by and published by LunaBrod

The game offers some nice graphics and environments, although some ugly glitches here and there, it is pleasant all the same and has a really great aesthetic

Eco Park overall, however, is a fun game to play, and it does get boring if being played for a long time, but is a good simulation strategy game and to play in short bursts

It’s a shame this game hasn’t received the love it deserves as for such a small indie game, it’s quite complex and fun once you get the hang of it, for such a dirt cheap price, you should definitely give Eco Park a go!

City of Atlantis

City of Atlantis

https://store.steampowered.com/app/1273100/Builders_of_Greece/

City of Atlantis is an isometric city-building survival game set in the world of the mythical Land of Atlantis. According to legend, the city far surpassed other nations in terms of scientific, military, and economic advancement. One day, however, it vanished from the face of the Earth. Now, after centuries, it re-emerges from the ocean depths.

City management is key. Plan each expansion in such a way that it ensures maximum efficiency of production chains and transportation. Workaround non-workable areas and utilize gathered knowledge to constantly progress and improve. A well-designed city will significantly improve its economic efficiency, greatly increasing your income. Be cautious though! Bad decisions and neglecting certain aspects of city life can result in the tragic death of an entire society.

Atlantis must not fall. Defend your city from tsunamis by building huge water breakers and reinforcing the outer layers. Build defensive structures to fend off armies of ancient warriors from Greece and Egypt. Control the spread of deadly diseases.

The life of the keepers of Atlantis is priceless. Make sure that their work is not interrupted and they are protected from harm. Keep providing them with the necessary tools and create safe working conditions. Citizens are very difficult to replace as their education and experience don’t come cheap. Each will represent a faculty such as military, education, or health. They might excel in many areas such as agriculture, hygiene, architecture, technology, militarism, medicine, politics, commerce, philosophy, or art.

The city of Atlantis has a mission. It must discover and preserve the knowledge of the world. Train and equip heroes who will travel across the land and gather knowledge about the culture, history, law, art, and science. Make sure that you send the right people for the job and ensure that they have the best possible equipment at their disposal.

Infection Free Zone

Infection Free Zone

“The Mad Virus” has spread throughout the world with the speed of jet planes. The infected are highly aggressive, fast and strong.

In a couple of weeks, society collapsed. Cities are empty. There is no electricity, no water, and no food. Yet, there are a few survivors…

Type in the name of the city or town, download the map and start playing! Thanks to OpenStreetMap’s real-world data you can choose any place in the world for your survivors.

Establish a new “Infection Free Zone” wherever you choose. Set up shelters and production facilities. Adapt existing buildings to new needs. Build new farms and power houses. Establish defenses with walls, gates and towers.

Utilize your knowledge of the city. What is the best place to defend? Where were the grocery stores, where were the pharmacies? Where would you look for weapons?

Remember that it’s dangerous to search the old buildings, there might be some infected lurking in the dark!

Each night your settlement might be attacked by large hordes of the infected. Fight them off with every tool available - melee and ranged weapons, vehicles, walls and light. Research a vaccine or a cure for ultimate victory, or just enjoy rebuilding entire cities!

Your Zone is not the only one that exists. Your survivors will surely find other surviving groups. Some will be friendly and willing to trade, but others will be extremely hostile. There might be some fighting involved!

Goblins of Elderstone

Goblins of Elderstone

My first review, finally, wow!

→ Right now i would give this game a Neutral rating, but that is not possible, and also i see great potential in this game, so i recommend it if you want to support the game and the developers. Don’t buy it yet if you’re not very patient and you don’t want to serve, literally, as a crash test dummie. ;-)

Played this game for roughly 6h, i had like 10 or more crashes. Many while i was simply trying to save → Game-Progress lost. It’s always the Unreal4-Engine that is crashing and asking you to send in a report. So the Inbox should be pretty packed by now. ^_^

The Short of it: Currently Early Access, but bursting with possibilities and originality. Building, resource management, raiding, diplomacy, trading, defending - all done by your own customized horde of goblins!

Reminds me of: If you liked Banished, Stone Hearth, or Rimworld, you’ll probably like Goblins of Elderstone. Goblins of Elderstone brings a unique and chaotic twist to the city-building genre - it’s a Goblin Tribe Simulator! Nurture your tiny clan as it grows to stand against the other races and even the gods. Rule over the chaos and feed the growing goblin war machine by raiding dungeons and villages.

I just started the game, but can see a lot of potential! The developer is very passionate and invested in this game and you can tell. It seems as though if you don’t get featured as a big indie game on steam, it’s hard to get reviews, and I wanted to give a shout out for this one. I’m looking forward to supporting the developer as he continues the game. I read a comment on one of the discussion boards that was pretty nasty, saying the game looked like another game, and honestly, you can say that about so many games out there. It’s the way in which a game is developed, and particularly when the developer cares and listens to feedback, that can make a game feel different and fun.

AMAZING GAME I LOVE WHEN MY BOAT HAS TIRE MARKS 10000/10

Water Drift is a reskinned clone of another game likely by the same developer, Space Ship DRIFT . Once again, it’s a sluggish, uncooperative racer built on low res textures and frustrating physics. With only one ship, one track, and no customization or modes to choose from, you’ll see everything it has to offer in a single lap.

Looking past the aquatic scenery, this app has déjà vu written all over it. The following is largely lifted from my review of its aforementioned predecessor, released just a month earlier:
