Fear Equation

Fear Equation

I find it somewhat baffling that this mostly excellent game seems to have been released and then forgotten by most. While most games at least have a reddit sub dedicated to them, there is nothing for this game at all. Very few comments on indie game sites as well. Which is a shame, since it seems that, as a forgotten game, the chances of ever getting a sequel with enhanced mechanics is slim.

My only complaint with the game is that the social/faction mechanic is simply not as fleshed out as it could be. That whole aspect can be almost ignored with no consequence. Do they like you? Are they going to revolt? Meh…no matter most of the time. I would have liked to see some more interaction with the passengers themselves; in terms of maybe getting more detailed information by clicking on an individual passenger (relationship graphs to other passengers and to you. rumours, etc…) and perhaps be able to take more actions to affect their behaviour (ie. craft an edict. make a deal to send someone in with propaganda, etc…)

Overall, a visually beautiful, slower-paced game that reqiures you to manage the resources on the train, assign passengers to carriages based on their factions to prevent internal conflicts, and build defenses against the fog. Once you reach a destination, you can send passengers out to search for items/food/fuel, either through a random lottery or by rigging the lottery to send your stronger passengers.

It’s not a reactive game, like Deadnaut, instead you plan ahead and then watch it executed. Personally I prefer this style, but I tend to like management games anyway.

NecroCity is a place that differs from any other place. This is a place where you will meet various creatures, ranging from small to giant ones. In NecroCity you can meet skeletons, werewolves, goblins, zombies, ghosts, and other ugly monsters. NecroCity is a city-building economic strategy game, in which the action takes place in a secret land, whose residents are divided into two basic classes: people and monsters. In the game, you will play the role of the governor of a dark city. Your main task will be to build and manage the city, starting with a network of roads, buildings, and fortifications.

Due to an extensive system of building improvements, you will be able to create your own amazing NecroCity. Remember that each building will be important for the world presented in the game. Gain the necessary skills that will allow you to control the inhabitants, and will also attract new categories of monsters. Make your city self-sufficient and go with your army to conquer another land!

Building the dark city

One of the main mechanics in NecroCity is building and managing the available space. Start your NecoCity adventure with basic buildings, such as Tomb or Crypt. Each building has its own unique task and is essential for the development of your NecroCity. Some of them increase your maximum population, others generate the resources you need. As you progress in the game, you will gain access to much more expensive, but also much more powerful buildings, such as the Necromancer Mansion or Undead Sanctuary.

To expand your city, you will need to extract and obtain resources from nearby mines and old tombs. Some of the resources may be available outside your city walls. To get them, send your units for this task. Use the obtained materials and resources to develop your NecroCity, thanks to them you will be able to expand your army or improve fortifications. Each of the buildings in the city will be an extremely important role in the functioning of the entire community. Thanks to the extensive system of building improvements, with the acquired experience, you will be able to improve the defensive wall around your city, add defense turrets and traps.

Defense of the city

The development and management of the city are not the only duties you have to take care of. NecroCity is located in a land that is also occupied by living creatures, mainly humans. Unfortunately, coexistence is not possible, people cannot accept the fact that these disgusting beasts live in their land. As a governor of NecroCity, you will have to provide the residents with peace and security. Defend your city against enemy attacks and take care of the safety of its residents. Create advanced defense systems around your city, including defense turrets, various types of traps, and many other available city defense mechanisms.

Conquest

Management and defense are not the only aspects that await you at NecroCity. To fully ensure the safety and prosperity of your city, you will have to face the human kingdoms and conquer their lands. At the beginning of the game, your skeletons and werewolves will be perfect in combat. However, when the time comes you will have to face more powerful opponents - mounted and heavily armored knights, call your best units to fight. Regardless of whether you choose, the Necromancer or the army of the Undead to fight, your opponents will flee full of fear. It’s time for monsters to take over the world!

Take control of your NecroCity

Manage your city as best you can, develop it, and make sure that each class of monsters is satisfied with their position in the city. Manage your city as best as you can, develop it, and make sure that each faction of monsters is satisfied with their position in the city. Meeting the needs of all residents will be one of the key features for a good prospering city. Keep an eye on the satisfaction status bar of each monster category, thanks to which you will avoid internal conflict between them. The internal dispute between the monsters is the last thing you need in the ongoing war.

Creature classes and their abilities

In the game world, you will have access to many categories of monsters with different skills. Each of these classes will have a unique set of skills. Make the monsters feel good in your city because this will allow you to create class leaders, such as the Werewolf Alpha. An extremely important aspect of the game is the book in which all the behaviors, habits, and skills of the monsters are written. Thanks to the book, you will be able to plan appropriate space management and learn about the strengths and weaknesses of your community. Developing your character and gaining new skill levels will allow you to discover new secrets of these amazing creatures.

When you hear angry shouts at your gates, be ready. Here comes the doom.

The world of NecroCity is waiting just for you!

DO NOT BUY THIS GAME! There are way too many bugs, the major one is that you cannot craft water jars, which is a necessity, if you want to live. I have also attempted to contact the Developer with no success. I am wondering if the Dev has abandoned this game. I enjoyed playing the Demo, so I bought the game. I can tell you that it does NOT play like the Demo, it plays like an early Alpha. Do yourself a favor and avoid this fiasco. I tried to get a refund from Steam, but evidently I played for more than 2 hours, which is the limit. I have 550 games on Steam, and this is the first time I have left a bad review.

So to start the game you grab a bunch of loose stone and wood from the ground. If you grab all of the loose stone and then die of fall damage (which is easier then you would think) and can’t get to your inventory again you pretty much can’t get more.

Human Factory

Human Factory

Human Factory has so much potential that it was able to keep me hooked despite bugs that would normally cause me to instantly abandon E.A. I play a ton of simulation games, and I sincerely hope this one doesn’t get abandoned (the dev’s fast response on the discussion board suggests otherwise).

Pros:

Easy to understand process with fairly optimized factory production. I wasn’t able to find anything that was too over or underpowered: the numbers felt just right.

Solid music, a must have if a simulation game is to keep you hooked

There is a good game waiting to happen here but right now it is still a product that should be in Early Access.

There are TONS of bugs and features that simply don’t function well and the game balance is pretty much non-existent as it stands.

Bug example:

Your Shelter (which you have painstakingly expanded and built onto) is breached or invaded. You use the very rudimentary control scheme to position your survivors right in front of the door as they are cutting through, ready for COMBAT!!!! Then, nothing as the collision detection fails utterly and every invader literally clips through your survivors to go on and loot whatever they want.

Hooked on this game for a while. Plenty of bugs back then. But a lot of issues have been fixed, although there’s still few remains but worry not, they always working on the game! Beginning part of the game has always been fun to me, as you get used to it. its get easier later unless you are playing on harder diff cause breaches could be brutal if you aren’t careful enough. Overall, pretty chill game to spend few hours in!

Water Bears VR

Water Bears VR

When writing this I have just finished the last challenge levels, 100% completion. I have to say this was the first VR game among the 40+ I had that I really wanted to come back to and finish. In total it took 1.8 hours more or less, it includes some short demo time for friends.

Difficulty: The game itself is quite varied and goes from super simple to mind twistingly hard at the final challenge levels.

VR Implementation: I imagine it was fun even on a screen, but in VR it just works perfectly. You move around the entire level, place pipes in 3D, watch the seemingly volumetric fluid flow. All interface parts are moved into world space and works really well, the water bears can be interacted with using your controllers, there is nice coherent graphical style making the world believable, it runs without issues on a rec spec system.

So I bought this game for my daughter who is about to start second grade. She likes the Vive and I figured that I would get something that would make her use her brain. Obviously I had to test it out to make sure it was age appropriate and so that I could explain to her how to play in case she has problems. So just one puzzle, maybe two.

Yeah, an hour later of playing and I’m already making plans to finish out all the levels while she’s at school so I don’t lose my progress when I reset it for her.

Space of Retaliation

I have to say that I love the game very much. If you like Among Us, I can say that you will love this game too. ^_^

I did not like the 2D gameplay that I care about graphics. The fact that this game is 3D was a nice option for me and my friends. I also liked the color palette of the game. If you like Amaong Us, you can give this game a chance. I hope the content increases even more with future updates.

This is game is similar to among us but different style. It is fun to be played with friends both Offline (LAN) or Online. I hope this game will upgrade time to time as it has only have 1 map. Suggesting that it is fun to have numbers of map to choice or put some add-bots to play it single player. The map is huge and you can hide from the hunters. All in all it is fun and exciting.
