The Crust

The Crust

Welcome to the Crust — the game where you can be the CEO of a gigantic moon colonizing company. It is a large-scale economic simulator with elements of survival along with a rich setting and dramatic script.

No fate is determined. The progress is driven by people. It’s time for you to decide whether you become the one who brings changes — or the one who adapts to them. Whether to be mediocre and insignificant anybody — or to be a pioneer in the space colonization industry, leading your corporation to dominance and bringing necessary effort to make humanity an interstellar species.

Building the world of the future will mark a place for you in the history books. Only the strongest can survive on a giant grim permafrost rock surrounded by vacuum, deep space darkness, and deadly silence.

To be the second in the space race means to be the first who loses. Are you ready to take this challenge? The conquest of the Moon has already begun.

I whole-heartedly recommend this game with a few caveats.

-The game is early access and is being worked on my a single developer.

-This game will not be completed quickly. The game will not always be updated quickly (although he has been doing quite well so far. An update every couple weeks usually).

-There will be bugs (although generally not game breaking, they can be a challenge and if you do not want to deal with it, I would wait).

-While there are official servers. They are usually quite full. So, the other servers are entirely player run. They can be hit or miss. So, until there are more official servers / there are better server hosting tools / more dedicated server hosts are better equipped to handle the job, you may very well sink 2-3 weeks into a game and one day it is gone. This can be avoided by doing your research on servers before joining. Some server and their hosts are amazing such as Age of Porcos run by Shem and PigsLands run by Jey.

New changes and recent major update have slowed the already awful pace of the game and made the overall progression and experience worse, to name off a few problems. I am giving this a negative just based on the early neolithic stage of the game alone, it is that fucking bad.

-You are now locked into where you spawn, you use to be able to move your starting tribe around a bit and maybe find a better spot at the risk of losing some or all of your tribe; you could even force settle onto another primitive tribe if they had a better spawn and after you reached a certain size you would have to fight them for the land. This ruins Arid players who spawn in the desert and rely on river networks to farm crops during agriculture and ranching phase of the game. Already players are just straight up abandoning and respawning if they get a godawful spawn.

Building Hope - Refugee Camp Simulator

Building Hope - Refugee Camp Simulator

Building Hope is a refugee camp simulation. Create a safe haven for refugees fleeing humanitarian crises such as war, famine, and violence, provide for their needs and set up a hassle-free camp. You can use many methods to solve the problems you come across, use your creativity!

Build Shelters

Everyone needs shelter. You can build relatively comfortable container houses for refugees (if you can raise enough donations!), or you can opt for tents. Maybe you don’t bother with that and the refugees build their own shelters? The decision is yours, you are the manager.

Distribute Resources

Everyone needs food and clean water. Recruit some refugees and set up the most effective distribution system. Will you be able to provide for everyone’s needs? Can you withstand the sudden crisis’?

Fulfill Missions

As a refugee camp manager, you’ll be better off with charities if you can fulfill the duties assigned to you. But every manager experiences occasional failure. Don’t worry, the story will be shaped by your successes or failures.

SCP Strategy

SCP Strategy

SCP Strategy is a very fun game, I have had an idea similar for awhile, so im very happy to see it a reality! It is fun to create, name, and control your own MTF units, or Foundation sites, and even make your own SCPS! Though right now it is a bit lacking on the content end, as more people discover and buy the game the more progress can be done on it.

I have a few suggestions down below:

GOI’s: GOIS (Groups of Interest) are groups that interact with the Foundation, and Anomalies. Some famous ones include the Chaos Insurgency, Serpents hand, Global Occult Coalition, Unusual Incidents Unit and some more. Perhaps you could even make Custom GOIS with custom behaviors! Having GOIS to compete with would spice up gameplay, Perhaps you would have to send MTF units away from an SCP to intercept a Chaos Insurgent or Serpents hand Convoy from reaching one of your sites, or an MTF Unit to destroy a CI camp. Perhaps you can sell Objects to the GOC, they will pay you, but the Object is permanently destroyed, and you lose Research points. The UIU could provide Units and sites for a rental system, if you got the money. New Research like MTF unit specialization would be cool, you could research tech to make your E-11 better at Combat, or faster at containing. Perhaps you would lose if the Chaos Insurgency or SH got strong enough. Just some fun ideas.

This game is pretty much glorified whack a mole. There’s no real strategy to the game because there’s no real danger. Just pay your employees minimum wage and charge the nations just under max price and you’ll get all the achievements with ease. When orange lights pop up on the map, send a unit to search it. That’s the entirety of the game play.

When I saw SCP attached to the game, I had some hope that there would be something cool about it. Unfortunately the only real link to SCP the game has is that you research found SCP’s to get points and read about the SCP you captured. That’s it. That’s the entire connection. The research is either done automatically on a timer, or you play 1 of 2 minigames that have absolutely nothing to do with SCP (one where you match a set of waves, and another that it just a ripoff of every “click the thing before it touches the object” flash game every beginning programming student has ever turned in as a school project), and don’t enhance the experience at all. If you’re a fan of SCP, you might as well just go read the webpage, because that’s all you’ll do with SCP’s in game.

Destroy It

Destroy It

“Destroy it” is like a developer test room with only one function: Ragdoll collision. Choose from two houses and a satellite to destroy, click and drag your mannequin, then realize the money spent was a waste. I’d consider this at risk of removal for being some sort of potential asset flip.

Lacking any sort of features or customization, the application opens to a menu with three structures to choose from. Once selected, the said structure spins wildly next to a limp dummy you’re intended to control. No on-screen instructions explain how to do this, but it’s not difficult to discover that the mouse serves to anchor and pull him into the building. There is no environment to speak of, just a large void atop an infinite plane. You can control the camera with WASD keys and rotate with the right mouse button. And that’s about it.

Great game, besides the repetetive music and way to simple gameplay and bugs and only 3 very badly designed levels it was great. 11,5/10
