Hero’s Spirit
This game is wonderful and completely infuriating. If you really enjoy games with layers upon layers of things to discover….well Hero’s Spirit definitely has that. The start is a very good typical hero’s journey with a big fight at the end with the Big Bad…..and you might think you’ve fully beaten the game at that point but….. Every time you think you’ve found everything…there’s more to find. I’ve actually started going “It’s Hero’s Spirit. It’s never finished.” in the Hero’s Spirit Discord as my personal tagline for the game because even though the game is complete….I know we haven’t found all of the game content yet. And frankly…I kind of don’t know if we ever will.

Hero’s Spirit is a collection-focused retro exploration game experience. It hearkens back to the old Legend of Zelda, where you could opt to poke and prod all around for hidden things, or rely on a friend or guide to help speed things along. I recommend taking lots of notes.
I’ve obsessively trawled across the world in the beta version, its music now burnt into my brain, and I can say it has been a wonderful callback to simpler times in gaming while still being grand in its own way. There may be a bit too many things hidden a bit too well, making a blind 100% run very tedious. But, if you are like me, this might just be your natural habitat.

Collection Quest
I love this style of pixel art, it make me feel nostalgic of the good old days, and i like to explore so this gets a thumbs up from me. But If your looking for a game where you can mow down enemies left, right and centre, this is not the game for you. this game is more like a story driven scavenger hunt.

The game feels so… lifeless. There’s basically no music or sound, which further makes it feels so empty and soulless.
For the first part of the game, you really have no idea what you’re doing, other than you’re supposed to collect playing cards. And you walk up to different icons and get “quest obtained” a lot. So my quest log is filled with dozens of “fishing spot 72-A” and “digging spot 42”, yet I have no idea how long it’ll take me before I find a fishing rod, and even if I do, how will I find that spot again? There’s no map or other quest guidance.

Knights and Castles
I thought this game was decent until I logged out. When I logged back in, all of my progress was gone after 63 hours of play as there is NO save option. And there is NO offline progression, so you gotta grind constantly albeit it can be in the background. And smelting large amounts takes longer than mining, I haven’t found a way to speed up smelting process if there is one. This game needs major improvements.

Long term investment idle game.
DLC is only if you want to support the developer and the goodies it gives are nothing one cannot unlock normally in the game. (Just a little boost to help you start)
Enjoy however you like and consider supporting the developer!
Classic idle grinder game with custom graphics and animation from a solo developer.
Free to play
Not pay to win
Kill stuff, git buff.

Theseus - Mythological Hero
Broken mechanics, invisible walls, and a terribly designed maze with awful lighting plague this asset reliant mess of a game.

It’s just BAD. Nothing more needs to be said. Watch part of my first impressions review video if you need more about it.
NOT RECOMMENDED, even if it were free, I’d tell you to stay far away.

It runs terribly and looks awful.
For a solo development, it is pretty cool but as a game that I paid $$ for, it is a failure.
Take this over to itch.io for some help and feedback.

Xoo: Xeno Xafari
Cute little collect em all
Xoo: Xeno Xafari is a game all about spotting and jotting down wacky and out of this world creatures. I recommend this game to anyone who loves to fully collect and complete everything from a game. A few cons would have to be the grind-like gameplay to find all the critters and collectables. It gets tedious towards the end of the game when you’re trying to find the last few Xenos so do look out for that. I enjoyed the emails you receive while staying on the island, its pretty neat to know someone cares about me while I’m embarked on a journey.

Summary: With adorable visuals and incredibly hilarious writing, Xoo’s opening hours are a treat, but the game is really weighed down by extremely repetitive gameplay and chance mechanics that turn it from fun to tedious by the end.
6.5/10

Full review:
Xoo: Xeno Xafari is a fast-paced collect-a-thon set on a deserted island full of alien life with a gameplay loop and art style that harken back to the 16-bit era of gaming, and immediately when I loaded into the game I knew I was in for something special.

Mrs. Santa’s Gift Hunt
Thx for the game.
I think its a good christams (mini) game , but so hard to found the 10th present ( i start 3x new game and 4h searching before i found it) :). The players need a litle help maybe from talking to a random person (one sentence in dialog)

Norega
I like idle games . . . a lot. Not sure why, but I play them almost exclusively. This is the 4th title I’ve played from this dev. This is his 6th game in about 11 months that he’s published on Steam, plus a few paid DLCs. Don’t know how many other games he’s published on other platforms.
From his other games, he seems to copy most of the core mechanics from one game to the next, along with some style aspects of the UI. This game has more refined graphics than the previous 8 bit graphics. I don’t mind 8 bit games at all and I’m not sure whether he made these assets himself or got them from an asset pack. Likely a mix of both. It’s a simple, grindy idle game with a built in auto-idle feature (buggy) that auto fights for you over night, if the game runs over night, so you don’t need to set up an auto clicker or anything. There’s no prestige/reset mechanic, but you increase the difficulty and rewards by fighting through all the mobs in each area at level 1, then when you beat the boss at the end, you can increase the mob difficulty and keep doing loops, increasing the difficulty as you go.

Pros:
-
Cute character sprites.
-
Decent music.
-
Small download.
-
Active developer.
Cons:
-
Sprites and texts are all different resolutions/sizes that don’t mix well. The dev needs to gain a better understanding of pixels, resolutions, and why stretching pixel art is a bad thing.
-
The GUI style makes it impossible to understand which numbers are prices and which numbers are how much you have on hand. The GUI style also does not do a good job of graying out or recoloring controls when you cannot afford things. The buttons at least have a hover-color, which is an improvement from the dev’s previous games.
