Into Oblivion

Into Oblivion

I’m only a few hours into this game, but I imagine that I will play it quite few more. It’s fun and relaxing, the humor is short-lived, however, it’s a challenge going for the achievements, if that’s your thing. Anyone who liked Oh Sir! The Insult Simulator should like this as much. The tutorial is helpful, but I don’t think it covers the utility in using recipe book; it took me a few hours in to realize that the possible drinks you can make with the ingredients you are dealt will be highlighted in the book. As you play the game, you’ll quickly see how that is important, but this isn’t a guide, just a review and I’ll say this is a little gem. You can’t get much more bang for your buck or drink for your drunk. Bottoms up!

Guardian Chronicle

Guardian Chronicle

Chronically addictive tower defence!

An easy recommendation to fans of tower defence games.

✅ Engaging game play.

✅ Varied ‘towers’.

❌ Very limited maps per season.

❌ Balancing issues.

❌ No single player content.

As a tower defence fan I can safely say that Guardian Chronicles dug it’s claws in to me deep!

The core game play involves you choosing a roster of guardians that act as towers, each with their own skills and abilities and placing them on select tiles to thwart waves of enemies.

What makes Guardian Chronicles interesting and engaging is the merge system. To get more powerful towers you have to replace two matching towers of the same level together. The spanner in the works however, is the towers are drawn randomly from your pool of selected heroes but you see the next five draws allowing you to plan ahead. coupled with tower abilities based on positioning this helps keep games engaging from start to finish.

Pros: Its a fun tower defense game with pve/pvp content. There are many deck combinations to use. Its very fun to play to kill time. Its not very toxic either

Cons: It is pay to win you will lose to someone who is dropping money. Later in game progression is much slower when you try leveling up your cards. Example at you will need 4000 cards of a specific card just to level it up and it will cost an absurd amount of in game gold

Despite the cons its very fun to play if your playing casually. You can earn alot of gold if you do well in the pve and pvp part of the game. Events change every often giving you great chances to earn rewards for free. Not much you can do about p2w players you will lose until you’ve put int enough time to get at least 3 cards to max level and use a proper deck but its very easy to pick up. I play this game casually i just do the dailies and events and log out. So far iv enjoyed myself so if you have nothing better to do or want something to play in the backround while you do other things like watching a movie or something idk then give this game a shot it wont hurt you. I wouldnt put money into it though

I’m sorry to say that this game is very unimpressive, regardless it being free. The instructions are on the steam page if you wish to find out how to play, therefore it jumps you right into the game. There is sooooo much wasted empty space. The matching eggs and so forth can easily be put into a simple smaller grid. The description describes like you can compete against someone, but If you can, I have no idea.

So i see most reviews are from people with 2 hours so i will be the first actual player to write a real review, let me start by saying the game is free, you can choose to play for absolutely nothing, now that being said, just like any other game released on steam, you can pay for more, are there expensive single cards in the shop? yes. do you need to buy them? no. should you buy them? no.

This is a strategy game, if you aren’t good at strategy you will lose a lot, the strategy lacks a lot of depth but it is there, and you can really notice the difference once you figure out a play style and learn to counter different things. it is the general nature of a card game to know that one specific card will not beat another, if you cannot learn this you will not find success in this game.

Hmm were to start ?

First at all it not really PTW it has elements like the most games in steam , you can reach even all cards ( right now common , uncomman , rare , epic , legandary ) in only playing the story line , with all i mean even the legendary and you have to pay nothing for … its right that there are cards with 15 $ or 30 $ , but do you have to buy them - no … so before act like a cry baby ( as a read the most negativ reviews with not really a background ) , try to get some knowledge over the game , before speak up again , to pay for a game and think you would be NO.1 will never work without knowledge , … so in all - its a nice game not perfect , its new , the art style is awsome you can collect card pieces (copie from your card) to make your card stronger and the animation changes too , there permanent new events - the are allways free , give it a try ; )

Space Ribbon - Slipstream to the Extreme

Space Ribbon - Slipstream to the Extreme

Cool and original game!

It’s like racing on a roller coaster track in space :-)

Single player: Campaign with three speed classes.

Multiplayer: Up to 4 players can play in splitscreen and optionally 1 of the players can play as the paver which creates the track.

Racing

Slipstream:

The core mechanic is using slipstream to boost your speed which makes it possible to catch up and often makes the races very intense close to the finish line.

Side barrier:

Another “mechanic” is the side barrier. STAY away from it as it tends to slow you down a lot. It’s better to ease off on the gas and make a corner than smashing into the side.

For my first Early Access game, this is pretty darn good. Not a bad way to go for $1 during the Steam Summer Sale. There does exist some balancing issues, which can make the game frustrating at times, but overall, it is all I ever hoped for in this game as an Early Access title. It’s a good way to start. Oh, and the demo doesn’t do the game justice. Developer, please remove the demo or update it please!

If you start a race with a mouse/keyboard, it locks you out of the Xinput controls (such as an Xbox 360 or Xbox One controller). It doesn’t allow you to switch on-the-fly or on-demand. You either have to exit the Grand Prix or restart the game to make sure to use the other control scheme. My prefered method of control is a controller, not keyboard/mouse.

Jubilane

Jubilane

A bold, stylistic puzzler with an extremely addictive system. Just absolutely pulsating with creative energies. The swap mechanic is a game changer.

Real player with 50.2 hrs in game

“Jubilane” is far better than its predecessors “Cavesweeper” and “Tess Elated”.

It’s a hexagonal minesweeper with picross elements.

If you get struck, deduce the colors of each question mark and swap the tiles.

Most puzzles can be finished without any guessing.

There are 72 puzzles in the Adventure Quest.

Completing quests will earn you treasury tokens.

This will unlock new game modes, different fonts, color themes and background artwork.

You can play any way you like in Solo and Multiplayer modes.

Temtem

Temtem

I’ve played over 600 hours of Temtem and read through some of the reviews today and like most games with thousands of reviews think there’s some valid feedback and some not valid feedback and I figured I’ve play enough to give an adequate opinion.

PvP is the best part of this game and is one of the best turn-based strategy game I have ever played. Unfortunately, you (as of today) need to complete the story and grind very heavily in order to be able to sufficiently access this. In competitive matches, you have a team of 8 temtem and go through a draft/ban phase before the start of a match and end up battling opponents with 5 of your 8 tems. You and your opponent each get to ban a tem, then pick your two tems to lead (battles are 2 vs 2 at all times) then each get to ban another tem, and then draft 3 more. This phase alone requires quite a bit of strategy as you need to quickly be able to read counters to your team, and draft effective opposition to your opponents picks, and also means you have to have a well rounded and thought out team. Simply picking the best tems in the game or best tems on your team in a draft usually isn’t enough; you need well thought out win conditions, strategies, and tems that synergize with one another to accomplish shared goals get you there.

To be fair, I shouldn’t compare this game to Pokémon, but it honestly does so much stuff better than most games from that series, SPECIALLY when it comes to combat mechanics, it trully makes me think a lot more about my overall team composition instead of focusing in each individual creature, plus you can fully customize moves at any time if you need to experiment and all. And most important of all: no RNG in combat, thanks goodness.

I have yet to reach the endgame, but I currently am on the 4th island of the game, and seems to be a pretty good game overall.

Shores of Plunder

Shores of Plunder

ABOUT

Shores of Plunder is a fast-paced party game where you and up to 3 of your mateys can battle, race and plunder as much booty as you can before the clock runs out. After each round you will return to your pirate ship where you can hang out and enjoy pirate-themed shenanigans.

GAMEPLAY

The matches are fast, fun and full of classic pirate shenanigans. While some players may want to collect as much treasure as they can, as fast as they can, others may want to pirate their way through it by knocking coins out of their opponents in cutlass swinging sword fights, flintlock blasting gun battles, sneaky explosive blasts from powder kegs, and other devious tactics. Many of the combat mechanics are still under development and will be added throughout Early Access with player feedback taken in to mind.

MULTIPLAYER

Shores of Plunder is all about having good old fashioned pirate themed fun whether you want to play solo or with your friends, family and colleagues. The online gameplay will be focused around an invite-only style of matchmaking so that players can enjoy a social online experience within a safe environment. Throughout Early Access new and improved lobby and matchmaking features will be added and adjusted with player feedback taken in to account.

MORE PIRATES!

As the game develops through Early Access there will eventually be are many pirates to choose from, including famous pirates from history. Each of these pirates will come with the ability to select a unique special skill that has a limited number of uses.

Designing your own custom tailored pirate will be a big part of Shores of Plunder and one of the biggest features that will be developed throughout Early Access is giving players the ability to customize everything from the hat they wear right down to whether or not they want to walk on a peg leg. Players will also be able to cash in the coins they earned to buy additional cosmetic items. The player customization and cosmetic store is currently unavailable but will be developed and adjusted throughout Early Access with player feedback taken in to account.

I NEED SOME RUM!

Pirates will do just about anything for a bottle of rum and once yours runs out of their special skill they will refuse to do it again until they’ve had some more rum. Replenish the skills by finding one of the many bottles of rum that are stashed around the island and drink it back. The player will have to take caution because while drinking rum refills the skills, it will also trigger a temporary drunkenness effect which renders the pirate vulnerable to attacks from any nearby players as they stumble around recklessly.

SOCIAL

Between matches the pirates will be returned to the deck of ship where they can socialize, brawl and have fun. Once the players are ready for another match they simply hop in to a cannon to trigger the countdown timer which will blast the players to shore.

Throughout Early Access new social features will be added such as playing music, drinking rum, gamble their coins away with mini games and more.
