BORIS THE ROCKET šŸš€

BORIS THE ROCKET šŸš€

A kinda hectic run-around-but-think game, nicely themed around quasi-Soviet missile intercept site. Be prepared to value every second of your time. Missions are around seven minutes each, so this is also a “just another bite” thing. I picture this in the evening, a mission or two every now and then. Then again, I love the setting too : )

This game is sort of Papers, Please.

During game you need to shoot down all incoming rockets. But task is not easy. You must properly configure every AA missile while trying to get enough resources to produce new missiles, or for upgrades. You alone in that base so must run on foot to every point of interest.

Actually I like games like Paper, please, so this game is my type of games, and I recommend it to buy. Its cheap enough.

Dirty Wars: September 11

Dirty Wars: September 11

Chile, September 11, 1973

The Military Coup of Pinochetā€™s army overthrows President Salvador Allendeā€™s democratically elected government, marking the beginning of 17 years of horror and genocide. Exile, censorship, torture and the forced disappearance of people who oppose the new regime are performed on a daily basis.

Maximiliano and AbigaĆl, a young couple who decide to stay in Chile, join the resistance against the dictatorship, sacrificing everything to enter a life of secrecy in which they must face multiple challenges.

Dirty Wars is a video game that combines stealth mechanics, puzzles and interactive dialogues in a closed and immersive world with defined objectives.

You play as Maximiliano and Abigail, who must overcome difficult objectives in order to opose the regime, in a time where only one side had all the weapons and the use of information and counter-intelligence are much more valuable.

There are no inventory systems or acquired skills, in the resistance the only weapon to survive is your intelligence and your ability to understand the security rules that will keep you going in the fight against the dictatorship, an unequal fight that will take years.

The compartmentalization is the iron law of resistance. No member can know personal information about an other, or anything that the dictatorship can use. Anyone could be captured, tortured and forced to give out information at any time.

In moments of great tension and danger, armed confrontation is not an option. Use the elements of the environment to hide and avoid being heard by the repressive forces.

Dirty Wars is a Chilean video game for the world. Introducing a completely Chilean and Latin American story that shows part of the culture, art, music and aesthetics from this corner of the world.

Shattle

Shattle

It’s the year 1970 in Sweden, and the Cold War is upon us. None of the thousands of bomb shelters have been used, until now. You and 24 other players start in separate apartments as air-raid sirens go off. You don’t have much time so gather as many supplies and weapons wherever and however you can.

What gear can you find? What supplies can you craft? Who can you trust? Use Shattle’s in-game voice chat to make friends or enemies. You’ll need all your wits about you to survive three bombing raids and make it to safety.

20-minute rounds

No more hiding or camping. You don’t have time for that. Survive to the end in any way you can. You have to think strategically, but you have to do it fast.

Close Combat Survival

Battle your way through everything from dense forests and bunkers to bomb shelters and underground tunnels as you get up close and personal with other players. Be careful! You never know who’s hiding just around the corner.

Destructible Environments

As bombs fall, they take chunks of the environment with them, creating more dynamics and new spaces in forested areas and buildings. So every time you leave your shelter, prepare for all-new surroundings.

Extensive weapons and armour

Loot, craft or upgrade, there are many ways to equip yourself for the fight ahead. And watch the skies! The Swedish Forces are known to drop some rare guns and armour via air supplies.

Points-based scoring

This isn’t your typical battle royale where you want to be the last one standing. Everyone’s goal is to make it to safety, but how you do it is up to you. Whether you want to shoot your way through or be a tactically sound crafter, everything counts towards your final score.

Bird’s View

Death isnā€™t the end of your journey. Come back as a dove and be the ultimate spotter for your team.

Mr. Prepper

Mr. Prepper

Iā€™ll be honest and say that I wasnā€™t sure if I liked it the first few hours but boy did I change my mind. I was expecting to actually have to survive in the shelter I created and see the aftermath of the wasteland left after the world goes to hell and I was puzzled as to why this sort of game play wasnā€™t added in but itā€™s still a fantastic base building , survival game and I hope theyā€™ll add DLC in the future, where youā€™ll actually be able to survive in the bunker or even get to experience what happens after landing the rocket .

Mr. Prepper. A survival base building game that’s not about survival and not about base building but purely story-driven.

TL;DR: If you can get it cheap (10 USD/EUR), give it a shot. But if you want a survival challenge or expect another game like This War Of Mine, STAY AWAY. It has SO much unused potential. It could be so much more.

PROS:

  • Interesting story. Mr. Prepper is not your average guy.

  • The typical “just one more day” game design that sucks you in.

  • 3 (4) NPCs you interact with that are all kinda likable.

Mr. Prepper: Prologue

Mr. Prepper: Prologue

The Meta:

This is a free prologue, as a feature-limited demo of the full game which expands upon the content that was made available in the demo from July. You have absolutely no reason not to try this.

I’ve played rather extensively through the beta testing, and can attest that the devs are incredibly responsive to the player community, both for bug fixing and implementing player-suggested improvements or modifications, and I fully expect that behavior to apply to the full game.

The game includes no microtransactions.

Originally, I thought the prologue would end in 30 days at most, but later I found out that I was still too young and naive. On the first day of the second month, I angrily ate all my food. I have many cans which used all the money I made to buy, and with lots of blueberry milkshakes and carrot soup. It’s ridiculous that I didn’t have diarrhea after eating it all! Ok, I have to quit the game in dismay!

Talk about the advantages and shortcomings of this game. This game is still very creative, painting style is good, it is said that the official version has more content. In terms of content, the game is undoubtedly a success. But the game also has some shortcomings:

Commander ‘85 Prologue

Commander ‘85 Prologue

First of all, it is a very good game graphically, Secondly the story is a bit or even quite fitting, Thirdly if you like hacker type games (or if you like computer related games you can give it a chance)

Finally, it is a bit confusing game, but I think it is playable, there is already a 1 hour game time.

Thank you for reading my review, if you like it, you may like it.

ā€“ Real player with 10.8 hrs in game

Judging from the prologue / demo, this looks quite promising. It leans heavily on nostalgia, which is the game’s strong selling point: There are lots of references to the 80s and 90s (books, board games, a Sony Walkman, VHS tapes, Kodak cameras, Nintendo’s Game & Watch “Parachute” game - which was actually my very first G&W game!), etc.

Then, of course, there’s the home-micro itself, clearly drawing inspiration (visually) from the Amiga 600, while its name is an obvious reference to the Commodore 64. The main scenario takes a cue from War Games, and aside from the pseudo-hacking stuff, you can even run some programs & play games on it (also harking back to classics like Breakout, Frogger, Donkey Kong, Capcom’s 1942, etc.).

The Corridor: On Behalf Of The Dead

The Corridor: On Behalf Of The Dead

I truly enjoyed playing this game. The atmosphere was what kept me going to explore and discover more of what was going on here. If you liked playing Observer and Soma this game is right along those lines but with it’s own twist. It’s got a nice flavor of creepiness without resorting to jump scares to make you feel uneasy. . The ending is with a ‘to be continued’ tag and I do hope that there will be more game play to follow. Achievements are available which if you try to complete them will aid you in solving more of the mystery.

The Corridor: On Behalf Of The Dead is a story based Sci-Fi / Horror game that focuses mostly on setting a strong unsettling atmosphere while adding sci-fi elements around it.

You spend most of the game walking around exploring memories and piecing together the story. The cohesion system really works well and adds a nice survival mechanic.

Audio is relay nice too and adds a disturbing layer to the experience.

Disney High School Musical 3: Senior Year Dance

I am terrible at games like this but i decided to get this because High School Musical was a huge part of my childhood. I thought I would hate it but once I started I ended up liking it. The character’s look horrible but I think that’s what gives this game it’s charm. It’s the type of game that’s so bad it’s good.
