The AI is very stupid and only does bad trades without attacking face. I like the card design and I am having fun farming.

HoCWar
I have played the other CCGs like WoT Generals, Panzer General Online and this one is actually not bad. At least for beginners. Yes, there are difficulties for beginners but once you learned basics you may enjoy the game. Of course if developers would work on the game it will more playable.

Okay so this game is fun and very good, but there are a few mistakes in either spelling, grammar, missing translation and the names of the achievments are totally bugged out. You may want to take a look at my screenshots on my profile. I published some screenshots with the above mentioned mistakes. I hope you correct them in a future update, but very great game, I love it! (Btw I would be willing to help you with german translations if you are interested.)

ManaRocks
I have been playing digital card games all my life and I now have almost 200 hours in Manarocks. I’ve seen it evolve from what it was in the beginning and have been able to track the process of it as well as see how everything has been handled - allowing me to predict how things will be handled and how things may change in the future.
PROS
*** Completely free to play.** There is no store, you earn cards through playing. You do earn the cards faster if you buy the Mana pass, but getting good cards is easy even without paying, since there aren’t all that many bad ones.

I initially started playing Manarocks in beta, & 2 months in I am hooked. The game feels a lot like Hearthstone, but the diversity of deck structuring allows for the inclusion of any card in any deck. This could be both a good and bad thing, as the element of surprise is always advantageous, but causes some cards to become staples in the majority of decks (incinerator, doom, king jari). The business model they have adopted is what initially compelled me to try the game out ($10 for faster levelling & cosmetics & an entirely new set of cards to unlock every season), but the dev team’s dedication to feedback is what has kept me. Since obtaining the full collection a couple weeks ago (250-300 2v2 games in practice mode, 45-50 hrs of gameplay), they have increased the pace at which you level up & unlock cards & added handfulls of quality of life improvements such as speeding up all animations, adding more ladder tiers, and increasing xp gain when you partner up with a friend in 2v2. In the discord, devs respond to players within a couple hours, answering questions, helping to fix bugs, & responding to every single individual’s feedback. In the future, I’d like to see more variety in card abilities & board synergy. Currently, there are about 20 cards with unique abilities, and the majority of those unique abilities revolve around hard control or “stopping play” (take another turn, all cards cost 2x, destroy all mana). I have a lot of faith in the future of this game, & I’d recommend it to anyone who is sick and tired of paygates and/or playgates in vCCG games!

I bought this game for about 0.2 $ on sale, so it was really cheap and beacuse of my lvl at steam i got a pack of cards and get this amount back. Also I played this game for 5hours and I almost have all achievements. Also if you have a market block at steam, games like this are good to unblock it, because of their price.
Gameplay is not really amazing, but what can we expect for game for under 1 USD. So I recommend it

WWII TCG - World War 2: The Card Game
The recent release of the Defiance edition of this game has gone a long way to helping new players get a start. The game presents a challenge in terms of patiently developing your deck of cards to continue to advance in strength.
The game will allow single player but is designed for team play in “platoons” of up to 15 players. Each playing session is played as a single player, but scores and results are cumulative for the team.
There are 4 distinct segments of the game, A Campaign Map of 200 levels with 3 difficulties for a total of 600 maps. These are played with your deck of cards against pre-designed opponents and present a good challenge. Player vs Player, these games take from 3-15 minutes to play and the outcome is generally decided by deck strength as opposed to brilliance in play. Missions are pre-designed mini-games where you are given a deck of cards (for that game only) to play. Balance on these is good and players will generally win 60-80 percent of the time once they learn the nuances of each mission. There are currently a total of 13 missions, each with 3 to 4 difficulty ratings. These rotate on a weekly basis. The final section is “Raids”. There are currently 9 raids, each with 4 difficulty options. These are the focus of team play.

If you like cards, collectables, strategy and World War II games you will love World War II TCG.
The arts, sound and animations are well done. It does capture the world war II atmosphere.
The card game by itself looks simple. But you will rapidly learn that there is a lot to it. Will you use infantries, tanks, planes, ships and/or structures? What faction correspond to your play style: US, german, russian, british or japenese? Each plays differently. There is a lot of cards in the game, thousands if we count crafted elite, diamond and leader cards.

Mythgard
The game is more about luck eg. my opponent had 3 cards and me just one , after he kill my card my next drop was a ship card with many soldier cards so i dominated him since i had level and gems and i was able to fill up the table with cards and win:) another game i managed to buff a card from 3 to 10 and the enemy has a spell wich can capture my card and use it on his side , another game i use the spell: i captured the highest card the enemy had and after i got another spell to redraw cards from boneyard so i captured another high card again :) … it is just bs and luck in the first case didn’t win since i wasted to much on that card the enemy got a ultimate card and my next drops were shit in the second scenario i win even against the enemy who ca copy the skill of any card yet another bs card :)) , bs cards that can kill you on their first attack , additional moves that can stack :) Every faction has similar overpowered cards so it’s balanced. Artifacts are again about luck and are way to over powered , basicly you can win just by stacking artifacts and do automatic damage to the enemy , in my opinion only two artifacts at a time should be activeand if you want more you can but you got to burn mana and gems and for auto damage artifacts once you destroy the artifact the enemy should recive a procent of the damage dealt by the artifact so it’s fair and balanced .The durability gain when your constrcts die is way to overpowered , in my opinion the damage should be dealt to all the artifacts not just one , after mid game if you have more then 3 artifacts the game is just stacking contructs and wait for a better cards . The Matryoshka artifact is bs with low mana and gem cost and durability 10 lolz it removes the skill from the game , the same as many artifacts. Played against a dude with 75 cards deck and he beat me only because he was lucky and got artifacts who can attack my minions and reduce their hp/attack so with no artifact remove cards it’s a 100% lose since he spammed constructs and also my artifact didn’t drop all game so this is again about luck and unbalanced.

as far as imaginary cardgames go, Mythgard hits all the right notes:
- cards are acquired in more different ways than I have ever seen in any CCG: 3 cards/day for playing; 1+ cards for completing each of the~20ish story episodes so far; ~30 packs are available through promo codes; you can uncraft and craft cards into Essence currency, including Wild cards which can be crafted into any card of a certain set, colour, and rarity; Silver currency is awarded for playing matches and completing rerollable missions, I find I can quite easily earn 2 packs a day this way; Maat currency is awarded for GGing opponents in matches; and this technically doesn’t GIVE YOU cards, but there are several play modes where you can “borrow” cards and deck lists to check out what you might enjoy playing. Unlike other CCGs, it seems like Mythgard really wants you to play it!

Stupidest value purchase imaginable for anyone who’s a fan of any board game. Cheaper than any single board game and it’s an infinte amount, that’s scripted, requires no set up, clean up or local friends. What more could you ask for?

Card Hunter
If you have ever enjoyed playing a table-top fantasy game then I would definitely suggest giving this game a try. It is very nostalgic to the early days of AD&D and full of adolescent sibling rivalry and nerd humor. The interplay between card use and the figures on the map is very well thought out. Like any game there can be some mini-maxing going on, but, if you want to play the game for fun, then there is a lot of fun variation that can go on. The game has single player, cooperative, and player versus player modes. And, yeah, regardless of how well you make a deck of cards for your character, board tactics, and the-luck-of-the-draw can make or break a scenario or match, but that’s part of what makes this game fun and challenging.

I enjoyed the game. Lots of choices.
It is free to play and you don’t have to spend $ to beat the game. The pvp on the higher levels would require to have better cards, but it’s farmable if you are willing to put the time in.

If you’re looking for an alternative for UNO, look no further this game is it what you want and way more interesting, with more option for multiplayers (up to 8).

Shardbound
I’ve been playing Shardbound since late December so the hours of this review do not reflect the playtime I actually have.
Normally I go for goofy ass reviews with bad wordplay like ‘Wow, you just Shardfound the best game ever’ but this game is pretty neat so I’ll throw a proper review it’s way. Shardbound is a tactical CCG, a newcomer to a genre that has exploded in popularity over the past few years, however it’s part of the later generation to tackle the genre, the generation that takes the core card game experience and pushes it to the next level of strategy and tactics, from Gwent and ESO to Faeria and Duelyst.

pros:
+beautiful art style and voice acting
+tactical battlefield adds strategic depth
+plenty of deck Varity
+devs are actively updating this game weekly
+card box sys allows you to pick what you want
+a solid free to play model to increase your collection
+very few bugs despite being early access
+not pay to win
Cons:
-still a lot of placeholder art in game
-balance is still a work in progress
-Overall-
This is the best digital card game I’ve ever played. There is so much depth and strategy incorporated into this game by having a tactical battlefield, playing the card is just step one, next you move your minions and your hero around like chess pieces requiring smart positional decisions to achieve victory; meaning building a good deck can only get you so far. For a game currently in early access its very stable and looks great, but at the moment there is a lot of minions that have placeholder art, but the devs are actively updating art on a weekly basis and recently have announced that this will be getting ramped up in the coming months.
