Clandestine
Clandestine is one of the most underrated stealth games I’ve ever played.
I’ll start with what I don’t like: out of all the things to randomly place they chose collectables you’ll need to upgrade your armory.
The game is coded in Unity, so the facial animations are questionable, and the animations overall are very stiff and the collision detection on the environment isn’t great.
The AI is competent, but not particularly complex since guards won’t notice doors opened or trace left by the player.

The quick recap
because who has the time to read my soliloquy
Clandestine is a genius and unforgiving stealth game in which mistakes are lethal. The only way to avoid the mistakes is to have a good friend in the van monitoring you and planning ahead of time. This is a stealth game where non-lethal playthrough is rewarding because the non-lethal options are numerous and cool, whereas the guns are pretty much all the same and do the same thing without much skill needed. No advanced objective requires a kill. You will succeed or fail based on your preparation, co-ordination and skill alone. Exploration is rewarded but not capital.

Wolfenstein: Youngblood
In fact, I resisted Youngblood from the start. Since I had to take a break because of Covid and had a lot of time, I thought to myself, well, it’s Wolfenstein, it can’t be that bad, can it?
Yes, it is bad, unfortunately 😒
In itself, it’s actually a decent shooter with a few RGP elements. But the game gets boring just as quickly.
Instead of exciting missions in special locations such as the New Order lunar base or a regime film set in The New Colossus, you mainly run through the repetitive streets of Paris and rattle off small mission objectives. That’s why the main story is completely finished in about 10 hours.

You can see what they were trying to do with this one.
They took the Wolfenstein engine, added two player co-op, and make the game infinitely replayable by having a few areas repopulate ala RPG-style, and added RPG-like elements to the game.
It sort of works - but as the side missions reuse the maps endlessly in fetch quests, you really retread a lot of the same ground. After a while the game areas become very repetitive and grindy, and somewhat pointless because you know the game has simply been padded out. This just wears out the replayability, especially since you’ll have to do the side-quests in order to level up to finish the main quest - but then the story isn’t that interesting either.

Carly and the Reaperman - Escape from the Underworld
Review changed to positive after returning to finish the game.
Our initial few hours in the game were plagued by controller issues: the PC player’s controller would periodically stop working.
What we managed to play we loved though, and after returning a few months later controller problems seemed resolved, and we got through several worlds worth of excellent levels.
Another break happened when my headset needed warranty repair (not this games fault!), and when we came back again our progress was stuck. New worlds wouldn’t open up, and the hub NPC’s dialogue was back at the start of the game. Our progress was all saved; every level we entered correctly showed all the collectable fireflies were still caught, but we had to play through every (now empty) level again in order to advance the story.

My wife asked to write the review for this one:
“Carly and the Reaperman is even more fun than the trailer suggests! I had the happiest of times playing with my husband. His platforming skills made him the best choice for Carly and I played as the Reaperman. With its beautiful art style, increasingly elaborate level design and a seemingly simple, yet very poignant narrative, Carly delivers one of the most creative VR experiences that I have ever played.
That being said, it does have some flaws. Several glitches in the game resulted in lost progress, forcing us to repeat some of the most difficult levels. In one instance, we found a way to cheat through some pixel perfect platforming just to avoid having to repeat the entire puzzle for a 2nd time.

Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light
Short Version:
Pros
-
Great puzzles
-
Good level design
-
Most bosses are great
-
All levels have challenges which enhance the replay value
-
A good amount of collectibles
-
Enjoyable singleplayer
-
Amazing local co-op
Cons
-
Paper-thin story
-
Cheesy, dumb villain who is also a coward - he runs away from you from start to finish
-
Buggy online co-op
-
Voice acting is weak
-Cutscenes are lackluster - The characters lips do not move; the camera angles “cleverly” change to make that unnoticeable.

THE GOOD-
Gremlins taught you to fear midnight, Minecraft gave you panic attacks at sunset, now you must fear the dawn. Soon no point of the day will be safe! It’s time to pack a rifle longer that your leg, a naval carrier’s worth of ammunition, and shower every ancient temple in sight with sparks and metal casings!
The animations, sounds and effects of the game are top notch (for 2010) and more than passable, even by today’s standards. Once again, the PC version shines worlds above that for any other platform. There really is nothing more satisfying that maxing the settings and getting a solid 60 fps, even on aging hardware.

RWBY: Grimm Eclipse
First off,
I personally love this game. It has given me many opportunities to make many friends with similar interests as my own and I have thoroughly enjoyed it.
For those reading this before purchasing allow me to explain the game for you at the current date of Dec 15th 2015.
RWBY: Grimm Eclipse at the current date is a hack and slash game with one campaign and four characters to play. Team RWBY. It is a very simple game with simple hack and slash combat. The game is not a very complicated game to play but that is what makes it a lot of fun with friends. It has a very quirky style just like the anime and its a nice refresher from some of the other games I play.

TL:DR
As a huge RWBY fan I always wanted to play this game and now with a little help from the summer sale I could buy this game as well as all of the DLCs for it, and I must say that this was money well spent as I’ve enjoyed every second playing this game (maybe not the last boss though) and will mostlikely continue to do so.
Pros:
-
Can be challenging at times.
-
Soundtrack
-
Gameplay
-
Some Grimm are different to what we’ve seen in the original series
-
8 playable characters (4 without the dlc)

Umihara Kawase BaZooKa!
“Area Battle Action & Crossover Characters! ヽ(=´▽'=)ノ”
[1] Intro
Umihara Kawase BaZooKa! This is an esports anime game produced by Studio Saizensen and published by SUCCESS Corp. As you may know, this publisher also developed a pretty well-made SRPG named the Rondo of Swords. The game characters are based on the Umihara Kawase series and publisher’s other games. The main character designer is Kondo Toshinobu, and this project has been carried on with the name of the protagonist girl called Umihara Kawase. The subtitle BaZooKa represents the core system in the game.

I love the Umihara Kawase series a lot, but I cannot in good faith recommend buying this at 30 dollars.
You can 100% the single-player content in less than 3 hours and I REALLY doubt you’ll be able to find anyone online, like, ever.
A reasonable price for this game would’ve been 10 bucks, at this price it’s pretty much dead on arrival.
As for the gameplay itself, it is nothing to write home about - what you see on the trailer is exactly what you get. The first three worlds of the singleplayer felt trivial, the fourth one can be pretty challenging. Did not get to try online, because there was no one on (shocking I know).

Citrouille: Sweet Witches
It’s not Lode Runner, but it’s not bad.
Citrouille is a single-screen action game with a ladder-building mechanic inspired by Rod Land. Since there are no restrictions on when or where you can build ladders, you have a lot of freedom of movement. Combined with a relatively high game speed and random AI, it’s clear that Citrouille is less about strategy and more about reflexes and adaptation. This is not in itself bad, but for how unique the ladder mechanic is, it’s less deep than I had hoped.

“A classic arcade puzzle platformer game with adorable characters.”
Review
Citrouille. It’s made by Lumen Section and published by Plug In Digital. This publisher has often been a partner for good indie developers. Especially among them, Lumen Section is a hidden gem. This game has been designed so that the player can experience well the developer’s affection for the game. This game is full of cuteness and loveliness. Let’s have a look.
Gameplay Style. This game has a modern sense about classic games. Simple but challenging and addictive. In addition, It’s more shining with graphic artwork and animation effects. Each playable character has its own features. Playing with these cute witches is a really pleasant experience. Moreover, there are some game modes to enjoy. Especially with the latest update, a customizable mode has also been added. We need to actively welcome these new content updates. The developer’s passion makes the game more valuable.

Full Metal Furies
After playing the game from start to finish, clearing each stage and solving each riddle to 100% I really have nothing but praise to give this fantastic game.
From a gameplay standpoint, each character is incredibly unique and allows you to find the playstyle that fits you. Triss (my favourite) can combo her ground-controlling launches and can protect her party. Erin has rapid, mid-range DPS and can toss in her trusty crowd-control drone. Alex is the whirlwind fighter who gets feverishly into the thick of things and grows in utility as you master her counter-attack and Meg’s the backline powerhouse, who deals serious damage but requires a level of mastery to play well (so definitely take note of the difficulty STARS when choosing a character for the first time - or make sure you’ve a strong front-line partner to work with).

Ms. Splosion Man
Amazingly Impressive.Playing this game reminded me of the days when I played Super Mario World and Donkey Kong Country on the SNES, it’s just as addicting, this game is packed to the brim with personality, it’s goes from funny to downright hilarious, I couldn’t help as Ms. ‘Splosion Man quoted famous singers like Beyonce and Lady Gaga and then turned right around and referenced movies like Predator and Willy Wonka, and the ending is probably one of the most funny things of all time, the gameplay is your basic platformer, easy to grasp but difficult to master, and has a lot of content, there are 47 single player levels, tons of unlockables and secret levels, and then 50 multiplayer levels, and shoes to collect in every one of the single player and multiplayer levels, so there is a lot to keep you busy, and just when you think you’ve seen everything the levels can offer they through in a new twist to keep you on your toes, but with all these good things it does have its flaws, long load times are frequent, while Ms. ‘Splosion man’s one liners are funny by the hundredth time you hear them they begin to lose their charm, same goes for the soundtrack, and levels could use more variety, and it can be frustratingly difficult at times, where if your even a hair off, or a split second too late or too early it means an instant death, but thankfully they gave you an option to skip sections that are too hard for you, and checkpoints are generally well placed but there are several levels that have awful checkpoints, and one minor complaint is that when you hit certain enemies they slam onto the screen blocking your view of what’s happening, I found it incredibly annoying, but even with these flaws I found myself falling into the just one more level trap time and time again, this truly is a great game, and if your looking for a fun platformer and don’t mind some punishing difficulty look no further, however the easily frustrated should look elsewhere.

I don’t know what kind of drugs you need to consume in order to make a game like this, but seriously, I want an OVERDOSE of that.
I haven’t had that much fun with a game in a long time. If you like 2D (or 2.5D) platformers and you like the DK-syle, this is the game for you. And the multiplayer only increases the crazyness. If you don’t enjoy this game with friends you’re either not human or cathartic.
Positive things:
-
Colorful and friendly visuals
-
Very dynamic levels, where some obstacles can come without time to think but not as mercyless as games like BIT.TRIP RUNNER. Here reflexes are rewarded.

Knights And Bikes
Knights and Bikes!
I LOVED this game! I had never heard of Foam Sword prior to this game, but when I heard that Double Fine Presents was publishing it, I was immediately excited. At no point playing Knights and Bikes was I ever bored. The game had me enthralled from start to finish. Playing this game reminded me what it was like to be a kid at that awkward stage where you still believe in magic and fairy stories, but aren’t content to just read them anymore. You desperately want your own adventure. Running around in your bare feet, splashing in puddles on rainy days, and hanging out with your friends until the street lights came on. After completing the game, I felt wistful, joyous, and strangely– a little sad. It’s been awhile since a game has made me feel so many emotions.

Knights and Bikes is one of the most magical, wonderful experiences I’ve had with a video game in a long time. It’s a beautiful, stunning masterpiece filled with puzzles, charm and heart. It’s a perfect game for anyone of almost any age - accessible without being basic, intuitive to play. It’s a fantastic game in co-op or solo, and the fact it works so well solo despite being clearly designed around co-op is a real achievement by itself.
It’s the kind of game I’m hesitant to say too much about, because a lot of the joy comes from the constantly surprising innovation on display. Demelza and Nessa are two of the most endearing protagonists I’ve encountered, and the game’s just filled with beautiful nostalgia for anyone who was ever a child at any point, which is like 99.4% of people. It’s also really quaint and quirky without being annoyingly twee; whereas in the wrong hands the plot could’ve been saccharine cringe, here it’s tonally spot on at every turn.
