Call of Duty has been one of, if not the most well known franchise in gaming this past generation and last. The franchise has been in decline quality wise after the release of Modern Warfare - excluding maybe Black Ops 2 - which leads to the release of one of the weakest entries (Both Single Player and Multi Player) in the franchise yet. From the get go, you’ll notice this game was built by Infinity Ward on the grounds of pure arrogance. This game is the very definition of “Bare minimum”.

Call of Duty: Ghosts stars a few protagonists, main one being Logan Walker - and the world they live in after a devastating Orbital Strike after a space station was hijacked. The story follows a special assault squad that go by the name of “Ghosts” and the brother’s entry to said Squad as they fight to take control of the US again.

Flock of Dogs

Flock of Dogs

Flock of Dogs is a top-down, twin-stick, crew game. Most of the time, one player pilots the whale and everyone else rides flying dogs to battle and quest. Players can land on the whale and relaunch when ready. The journey leads to the Flying Festival through procedurally-generated, floating biomes with a mix of creatures, characters, and quests.

Together with your brother and sister Dogriders, mount up on flying dogs. Name them. Teach them tricks. Then put on a fancy hat, grab your umbrella, and soar through the air. Make sure to tend to your flock as dogs can get hungry, thirsty, sick, and injured.

A friendly skywhale acts kinda like your living airship. It will provide plenty of inventory space in its big belly and nests for your flying dogs. You can also strap different gear onto the whale, such as the water hose, vacuum turret, or just extra shelves.

  • Travel to the Flying Festival

  • Pick up hitchhikers on the way to the Flying Festival

  • Battle monsters to protect the hitchhikers you pick up on the way to the Festival

  • Fire broadsides from whale-mounted cannons

  • Be swallowed by a whale and then be spouted out of its belly

  • Collect solar power and mop up environmental disasters

  • Wear hats

  • The Flying Festival at the end of the Air River

  • Your treehouse on a floating island

  • Blue Blob Land

  • The eye of a sandstorm

  • Into a dark cave filled with monsters

  • Into a bightly lit cave to party with friends

  • A lighthouse

  • The land of giants

There is support for up to 8 LOCAL and/or ONLINE players. Singleplayer. 2 players on 1 keyboard. Dozens of supported controllers. And it features native network code built on the Photon Unity Networking plug-in. Of course, it also supports Steam Remote Play Together.

Every copy of Flock of Dogs comes with one Friend Slot. It’s not exactly 2-for-1, but in some ways, it’s better. A Friend Slot allows you to invite one friend who doesn’t own the game to join you online. This utilizes the native network code. You can invite any friend, and each time, it can be a different friend. Additional Friend Slots will be available for purchase.

Flock of Dogs is inspired by storybooks, cartoons, and suburban parks. It features hand-drawn characters and painted environments. It is filled with color and quirkiness and danger. Brave adventures can seek out dark caves filled with monsters, while those wanting a leisurely float to the Flying Festival are also accomodated. Wherever, however, and with whomever you play Fock of Dogs, It’s a magical flight.

PHOGS!

PHOGS!

Excellent game of its own right but as far as games you can play cooperatively with a small child I think this might be, like, the best I’ve ever played. Was a little hesitant to pick this up at full release price but my daughter has been harping on me since we played the demo and I am happy with the decision. I have a 3 and 5 year old. Phogs’s fun and bright art style gets them excited enough to talk about throughout the day, with puzzles and gameplay that challenges without frustrating. It’s the nature of cooperative play which takes Phogs over the top for me. You can use a two controller scheme for couch-cooperative teamwork or a scheme where each controls both phogs, to help guide younger players. Either way you can help steer each other in the right direction while both are totally playing the game. Everything about it is executed well; controls, art, sound, music, gameplay. The devs definitely had a strong vision, with the talent and resources to execute it.

The Good:

This is a very fun game to play with another person in co-op.

There’s a variety of worlds and levels and for me and a friend, one complete playthrough took us about 9 hours.

The puzzles are fun and do not feel like they’re too challenging, nor does it feel like the objective of the puzzle is hard to understand.

I would not recommend playing solo as controlling both ends of the PHOG is a little tricky.

The Bad:

We ran into quite a bit of bugs while playing over online co-op with items not appearing or not showing that you’re holding an item.

Call of Duty®: Advanced Warfare - Gold Edition

Call of Duty®: Advanced Warfare - Gold Edition

I was going to recommend this game initially, but one month after release and the developers seem to have gone silent on us, no more updates or messages on the steam community. I am going to split this review into two parts, single player and multi player and talk about the pros and cons. Here we go:

The Single-player campaign - Length: 6-7 hours - Difficulty: Average ( I played about 8 hours of it )

So we get another typical cod campaign, the story is great, altho not at the same level as Black Ops 2 was, your choices do not impact the ending, in fact the campaign is preety much all linear. Graphics are the best the franchise has ever seen, and so are the audio effects, also gameplay has been refined to be extremely fast paced and enjoyable. Kevin Spacey’s performance is incredible, at some points the engine is struggling to keep up with his performance, making you wish Sledgehammer would have used live action cutscenes instead of CGI. The campaign is overall a great experience, if not a bit too short, they could have expanded on it and made it longer, it has some plot holes and rushed moments.

(TL;DR can be found at the end of the review)

Call of the annual Duty - Underdeveloped Lagfare

I’ve been a huge fan of the Call of Duty franchise when Modern Warfare hit the stores. For years I’ve been playing pretty much nothing else and dumped hundreds, if not thousands of hours into it. I also played Modern Warfare 2 & 3 but it wasn’t the same for obvious reasons. Since then I wanted to buy another CoD that could bring back the nostalgia. Then Advanced Warfare comes along and actually gets a lot of good reviews and I get curios: Another studio, a longer delevopement time and fast dropping prices.

PewDiePie: Legend of the Brofist

PewDiePie: Legend of the Brofist

Ah, Legend Of The Brofist. A game filled to the brim with controversy because of the person it’s based on. But, I am here to review the GAME. NOT PewDiePie. So if you’re mad at anything I say in this review… go take it somewhere that somebody cares. And get in line if you have any personal beef with me because of my opinions. A lot of people do, and you’re just another one to tack on to the list.

Gameplay: Legend Of The Brofist is a 2D platformer, with differing elements in certain stages, such as low-gravity, and even a 2D shooter style for one stage.

Real player with 14.3 hrs in game

This game is absolutely nonsensical. I mean, maybe there’s some lovely tapestry of narrative in it, but if I have to go watch a youtube dude to figure it out, you haven’t told a good story. But you don’t play this for the story (dear god I hope you don’t, anyway). This game is a pretty open love letter to the 16-bit era slathered in a layer of surreality, and it actually plays damn well. Most levels basically spelled out their intent or were based on something I recalled from my younger days, and while I think one or two stages' gimmicks make their lack of checkpointing* irritating, only the rather-lengthy final boss really held me up for more than 15 minutes. It’s also got a bunch of difficulty settings in case you find it too simple/challenging, and after you beat the endboss you can play anything you’ve beaten on Hard on a one-hit kill, no powerup mode, should you be masochistic enough.

B.ARK

B.ARK

Whether you are a fan of the Shoot em' up genre or just looking for something to play with your friends on a game night this is a nice game to play!

This game has fast-paced action with varied level design that will keep you playing it until the end, Keep in mind that this is a short but sweet game (Just like the classics such a Gradius) although considering the price tag that’s totally fair.

Although good this game is not perfect, some times the game throws you mandatory dialogue between a stage or before a boss battle and don’t get me wrong I love the characters and the great story they built here but once you want to replay this game or a stage it can become annoying, a skip button for those would be excellent.

☑️Challenging Shoot Em Up.

☑️An emotional story.

☑️Fun game to Co-op / Remote Play

❌Online-Multiplayer

B.ARK is a very colorful and cute throwback to the classic shoot em up games from the golden ages. Games like U.N. Squadron, R-Type and many others that hit’s a special place in a 80s/90s kids heart.

The game comes with a rather unusual twist, there is a solid emotional story about the crew of animals that have been lost in space after their team of scientists detached their space ship after being caught and pulled back down to earth by the aliens that were invading the planet.
