Fun and cute coop game with a friendly mood and great art!

The game world is made up of different zones, and each zone has a number of levels. Each level of the game has 3 objetives/stars, only one of them being mandatory. The main mechanic is simple and easy to learn: one button casts one color magic spell, which you will use to defeat the different enemies of that color. The mechanic is well explored throughout the game, especially with the optional stars. These optional starts complement really well to the mandatory ones, since depending of how many stars you wanna get on a level your strategy will change a lot, thus making a simple mechanic quite challenging. Sometimes too challenging, as there are 2 or 3 difficulty walls that stop a bit the flow of the game, especially in the final boss. But besides that the game feels well balanced, it has a good difficulty curve.

This game is stacked up …

You thought today was a quiet evening when nothing happened? Wrong, because now the dark drones pose a new threat. Visit the different warehouses and show these windy drones how to stack properly.

LOCAL MULTIPLAYER MADNESS

You can choose, work together and reach the high score, battle it out in vs-mode, or just collect boxes in freeplay-mode.

Its the main objective in story mode to collect as many boxes as you can within a three-minute limit in order to reach three golden boxes to unlock further levels. You have to work cooperatively with up to four players to get each box to its designated delivery station efficiently.

DELIVERY TO ALL COUNTRIES

In the warehouse, on the prairie, in old medieval castles and even on dizzyingly high skyscrapers. You stack your load no matter where!

Bonkies

Bonkies

I played this game some while it was in Early Access but waited to play the rest and to review for once it was fully out.

Bonkies is a great couch co-op game that has a great visual style and is a ton of fun. Everyone that I’ve played it with has had a great time. My girlfriend who is not much of a gamer loves it. It’s worked great with Steam’s remote play to play co-op online with other friends.

Even though the single player campaign is definitely not the game’s focus, and it is admittedly short (it took me an hour to Ace it, but new players probably 3-4 hours), I had a great time player the single player campaign as well.

About the game:

Well, the gameplay is pretty simple. Every of the (up to) 4 players is playing one space monkey. Their task is to construct certain “buildings” in a limited time (usually around 3-5 minutes). Unfortunately these space monkeys have a heavy handycap: they all have only one arm. (Not sure who let them be in charge of the construction site but that’s another question).

The game mechanics rely on 50% communication with the other players (since you can’t lift objects very well on yourself alone) telling them where to move, what to do next. The other half is actually some creativity since it’s not always clear how to build these desired objects. You only get a shape of what’s expected and are left alone trying (or imagining) how it fits best.

Observers

This game is great to have fun with some friends. If you are playing with friends, I would suggest using controllers so that the keyboard isn’t cramped. When playing solo, some of the characters are much better at certain levels, so I would suggest you switch characters if you can’t figure the level out with the one you are using.

Warp Drive

Warp Drive

I just had a go at the game. As much the design/models slightly lacks polish, the colors within the shaders gives off so vibrantly. Gameplay wise is like your average Asphalt game however I feel the drifting needs a slight tweak and the original concept that they’ve brought to the table is the teleportation mechanic. How it works it’s by approaching a glowing orb and pressing the A button (Gamepad) allows the player to teleport to an area where its located or grabbing a crystal (used for boosting pressing X) and pressing A to take the lead of the nearest opponent. All in all, the game is fun and worth a buy.

Warp Drive is an all around good game. It has somewhat simple mechanics and is like a kart racer but I like that the pick ups aren’t random and it lets you actually plan how you’re going to use them. The upgrade system is straightforward and simple, but it’s cool how the different parts are actually shown on your craft. Aside from these things, the game has a pretty unique style, splitscreen options, and a KILLER soundtrack.

Some fortnite skin packs cost more than this game, so there’s really no complaints from me.

Control both Holy and Shadow vessels at the same time using a controller or a keyboard and use their different interactions with golden objects to overcome challenges. However, don’t separate the twins too much! They are connected with the spiritual bond and one cannot go far away from the other. If you don’t want to play alone, bring a friend, and enjoy the game as a Co-op adventure.

  • Solve mind-bending puzzles

  • Defeat scary bosses and overcome difficult platforming sequences

  • Master the control over 2 characters at the same time using a controller or a keyboard.

  • If controlling 2 characters at the same time seems hard or confusing, bring a friend to help you and enjoy the game as a Co-op adventure, where teamwork becomes a key to success.

  • Play Co-op with 2 controllers, in an old-school way, using one keyboard or Steam Remote Play Together feature.

  • Help twin vessels solve and fight their way through 5 different zones.

  • Hand-painted zones, from grassy and peaceful hills to the depths of the scary caverns and spiky hellish lands and even to the nearly destroyed landscape that defies laws of gravity.

  • This adventure contains 60+ levels, with most of the levels containing multiple parts and puzzles.

  • Enjoy the game’s amazing soundtrack, containing relaxing, haunting, scary, but also inspiring tracks.

  • Collect over 20 collectible pieces and uncover the story of this strange world
