SpaceBlocc

SpaceBlocc

SpaceBlocc is a colorful minimalistic spaceship building game. A mysterious world you have to escape before it destroys you.

BUILD YOUR SHIP

Choose among 7 different parts to build your ship. By correctly managing your weight, thrust, and energy available you will be able to travel a different speeds. Slow and fast both have their advantages and disadvantages. Too slow and you will get destroyed by asteroid rains. Too fast and you won’t have time to destroy obstacles before colliding with them.

UNLOCK NEW PARTS

You start with only the minimum. Unlock new parts as you progress through the game. These parts are required to advance to next levels, and obviously will make your ship stronger.

RESCUE LOST ASTRONAUTS

Rescue astronauts that were a bit too bold. Some are just out there ready to be picked up. Some decided it would be fun to have to be rescued in more dangerous areas.

Space Invaders version of Plantera.

It’s not an idler. Please understand the difference. This is not a game you can run while working. You can play it while watching Netflix… on a different monitor/tv, or while listening to music, or while cooking, but it stops running if you switch tabs! It doesn’t run if you close out!

8/10 Space Invaders Plantera with zombie invasions and terraforming and adding asteroid colonies. I love it to pieces.

Not bad for a game by a single person. It’s pretty solid mechanics wise. Very simple which is good as it doesn’t explain anything in the game except in pictures like helper + apple = money. Everything has little i’s on them so you can click that for simplistic help.

It’s actually fairly enjoyable. Very much a cookie clicker/clicker heroes meats gardens in space. Plant plants, get fruit, fruit gives coins, coins by better plants. Rinse and repeat basically. At first it doesn’t seem obvious how to expand from your 1st planet to another. You get a skill/buy option at lvl 9 I think it was. Every level up if you unlock something it will show a card version of it on screen for you. You get an unlock about every 2 levels until lvl 20. After that it seems to space out more and more. achievements are easy to get. I would say the pacing of the game is a little off but otherwise it’s pretty good.

Get ready to discover the world of space exploration.

The game is good for both those who know a lot about space exploration and those who don’t, because the character “Laika” will give you hints and tips so you can proceed with the levels while learning.

The music and sound effects create a spacey and relaxed atmosphere.

Game tells about the releases of the history of space exploration.

SPACEPLAN

Minor spoilers

This idle game is about the narrative, not about the mechanics. It presents a grand mystery: you awake as the sole human operator of a highly advanced spacecraft, in orbit above a far-future Earth mysteriously devoid of all life. Your ship AI makes a plan to travel back to the big bang, ensure that time progresses identically to how it did in the previous universe’s incarnation, so that you can observe the Earth and see what happens to cause the end of human civilization, with the goal of preventing it. Upon arrival, however, you learn that the Solar system has been entirely reengineered by some unknown power. The planets have been redesigned in their entirety into giant planet-shaped machines with some unknown purpose which you must unlock. Your AI has some kind of theory as to what’s going on.

Normally, I’m not really into Clicker games. The most boring genre of gaming. To me, they fell short in order to make me actually hooked into the game, since a lot of these clicker games were like “shop simulator”.

There’s a lot of them in fact, mostly on mobile. This, made me feel “eh” towards clicker games in general. This genre of “gaming” gives you the least time of gameplay. And not only that, it has the least amount of mechanic.

“Click, spam button, buy things, earn more money (sometimes faster), rinse, repeat” - that’s it, basically the drive of 99.9% of clicker games. “What? You’re ran out of money? You earn 100 credits and the next thing to purchase is 1M credits? Tough luck my friend, but you gotta wait till tomorrow”

Edited for recent update

The new UI is so much better. It fits the screen so well. The addition of the auto collectors and the power core “guide” is awesome. It’s like he actually listened to me! I’ve put a lot of hours into this game, and I’m never let down. I love that I can leave it up while I sleep or go to work or class and come home to find it’s waiting patiently for me to collect things. It’s nice that I can run it in the background and it doesn’t make my computer suffer at all.

I have a love hate relationship with this game. It’s definitely entertaining. I’ve left it up for days and days, and piled up resources to buy the “upgrades” and such. But I get annoyed with the fact that there’s no “auto-collector.”

Overall not terrible, but not the most amazing either. Has a good amount of potential for expansion, which from what I’ve read seems like it’ll happen. I think the pacing needs some tweaks (seems to ramp up exponentially which causes issues), but I could see something like a story mode or ranked progression being a thing.

About the clicking - starting off with the cursor as essentially your first ship is kind of a funny novelty but rapidly gets old. I think progression being more spaced out would fix this problem since click spamming isn’t great for anyone’s sanity. CPU and mem usage isn’t great either, especially if the game is going to run at full when not the focused window. On that note, I do see that when assets peak, performance starts to suffer. If this can’t be fixed perhaps add some sort of an end-game with new game+ (maybe?). Maybe the challenge could be getting all achievements within a time limit? Kids love speed runs these days.

PLANETS OF WAR

PLANETS OF WAR

I really wanted to like this game. It’s a clicker but too “clicker” for me.

Pros:

• Excellent graphics

• Decent voice acting

• Very little story but what there is is decent

• Mostly attainable achievements (I managed 35 of 50 but some are duplicates of others)

Cons:

• Can’t skip opening cut scene

• No upgradeable weapons (single-fire or auto-fire only)

• Unable to finish game (could not kill the ship going into the wormhole; others must have done it but it was impossible for me; “too clicker”)

I don’t write too many reviews, there are enough people around who provide their opinions on games to usually make an informed choice. However, this game just requires it.

This “game” isn’t much of a game. I didn’t see any player health, not ability to get hurt. In quite a few of the levels, you can click the auto fire button and just leave the mouse pointer in one part of the screen and the enemies (ships, people and meteors) will just explode, all with the same effect.

There is so little to do in this “game”, it’s over and done with in 15 minutes. My play time is because it’s so tedious, I walked away for a while and did something else. Yep, it couldn’t even keep my attention for 15 minutes.

Space Monster is a physical puzzle with a side view. Exploding bombs throw a space monster into a black hole.

The monster from space is a threat to the planet Earth. You can’t kill a monster, but you can throw it into a black hole and save the Earth!

The game has 50 levels that increase in difficulty as you progress.

Game for logical thinking, reaction speed, good for children.

A simple but challenging gameplay. Graphics are eye pleasing and music is just great, so soothing. The game is just perfect when you want to relax and give your mind something else to think about. I can recommend this game to anyone who likes puzzles, or just wants to ease a mind with pleasing aesthetics.

This space shooter somewhat reminded me of the games that were made in slot machines, I liked the music, and the graphics are unpretentious, but the most important thing is the gameplay, here it is interesting
