TrainClicker Idle Evolution

TrainClicker Idle Evolution

There' something strangely soothing about watching the trains cross across the screen, chugging along the rails to it’s destination. I do wish I could lower the bird sounds so I could hear the engine and train itself more. The game runs smoothly and the music is nice.

My biggest criticism or thing I wish we had is an auto-progress option so that it can just move on to the next level if I want it to instead of manually activating the train forwards. I do like to let it run on a certain level but if I could also be allowed to let it go forward of it’s own volition that would be great.

Sending this to library. Developer was active in March and went silent. Enjoyed game play for a while though.

Is this a clicker game? Sure, auto clicker is not something is needed to progress. Click half an hour and close :)

Is it idle? Yea sure, i get a lot of money while idling with 4 trains and maxed out engineers.

Game-play is broken. Half of the skills are dead and other half are breaking economics.

Ascending? Never saw that screen :D I never had to, as i wasn’t stuck. Game just became boring to me.

Edit 02/11/2021: Three things related to monetisation have happened. First, leaderboards have been removed. That’s good, they were useless anyway and clear cheaters mostly populated the top spots. Second, the daily premium currency (Derium) given has increased dramatically, roughly doubling over the first month. While the amounts are still very, very small, it’s something. Good job.

Lastly, I cursed the game when talking about RNG based purchases, because there is now a slot machine for the Halloween event. The listed chances are 1.23% for a good drop, 29.88% for a not very good drop, 68.9% for absolutely nothing. You also get a tiny consolation prize with each roll, all for 100 Derium. If you wanted to buy Derium it would take roughly 8,100 to get one of the good drops, costing around $20. More absurd monetisation from the developer, sadly.

This will be a fully honest and unbiased review, i personally enjoy the game as i did with the original.

Personally i consider this game a pretty good balance between the active and idle sides of the incremental community. (if you complain about the game require to much active then, simply put the game isnt made for you, as its more geared towards the more active side of the incremental community. dont expect something like melvor, expect something like realmgrinder in terms of activity) The game however isnt entirely active and does have a somewhat long waiting periods, not timewalls per say, but just waiting periods. none the less, despite the fact i prefer EXTREMELY active games like perfect tower 2, and The Prestige Tree. this game has somehow entranced me despite the larger waiting periods.

Im playing this since it came out a year ago. The progress is slowly, but in this game you can build up your character in different ways. Lots of loopholes allow boosts of progress. Many of these Loopholes are only working during a certain stage of progress. Searching and using these makes the most fun.

I play a different style, than the developer intended. I play without any reincarnation and i was still able to get the DS killed even before this game came to steam. Since then i made even much more progress.

First time playing this game - Unlike some who have had the chance to play it on some websites.

Easy learning curve and they introduce new features such that we are never bored. The biggest wall we encounter is probably the one for the reincarnation feature (different from rebirth). Be patient - We are not meant to access that content early on. Make sure you read some guides on how to beat the challenge though as it requires a specific strategy.

As for premium currency, we get a ton from regular quests and daily quests. Save to purchase any upgrades that improve you daily quests first such that, later on, you are guaranteed at least 1 to 2k Epic coins per day from the daily quests alone.

This game is an unusual confrontation with hordes of zombies. Your task is to drive a tank and rush through obstacles and crowds of undead. Win a victory. driving a multi-ton combat vehicle. Show that people can survive!

A simple conditional runner in which you only need to crush zombies, destroy other tanks on the way and prevent your tank from being destroyed. An unexpected fun activity turned out to be, the first couple of hours flew by completely unnoticed. I highly recommend it for such a price.

Tap Heroes

I recommend this game but, honestly, only just.

I read, in the other reviews for this game, about how the progression was slow and I thought “I bet it’s not that bad,” but BOY was I wrong. It’s, without a doubt, the slowest game I’ve ever played. After 6ish hours of “playing” (including auto-grinding while offline) your characters still feel weak and unprepared for most things.

Boss fights are not something you’ll ever grind (unlike other clicker games I’ve played - where bosses drop decent amounts of money for an only moderately harder encounter). These boss fights are essentially an attrition match - where you stand there spam-healing your fighter* (*your one reliable source of dps (because, as far as I’m concerned, the rogue is

! censored useless)) while you wait for either the boss to crit and OHKO you, or for you to finally whittle down the boss' HP and move on with your life (and your underwhelming reward for your last 5 minutes of play).

Idle Monkeylogy

Idle Monkeylogy

This game is based on the Infinite Monkey Theorem, which states that a monkey hitting keys at random on a typewriter keyboard for an infinite amount of time will almost surely type any given text. This explains the main function of the game in which you get gold for trying to type words, the more letters you get correct the more gold you receive.

All the words you’ve correctly typed give you a +1% bonus to gold, these words and the bonus can be checked in Vocabulary. Every so many words give you a permanent bonuses which is done so by going into Edit, however you reset the bonus given in Vocabulary and have to retype the words to get their bonus again.

I genuinely enjoy this game!

For an ‘idle’ game, it has a truly unique concept (based upon the ‘infinite monkey’ theorem, but unique for an idle, or any game, to the best of my knowledge, at least) that makes it fresh and fun!

I especially enjoy that whilst you absolutely can leave the game idle and make progress, you also have the option to play the game actively, and it’s fun!

Unfortunately, I’ve not been able to ‘make a dictionary’ under the edit tab. Each time I try, it simply resets my progress without allowing me to create my own words list.

Incremental Cubes

Incremental Cubes

At this time I feel like you should probably not get this game.

Quick notes:

  • The game is free, but you should be warned that the game is still buggy and the balance is out of whack.

  • Also not very obvious in the video or description is that while the game is free, there is an in-game store where you can purchase stuff like temporary speed boosts, extra slots, and permanent upgrades to the game speed. You aren’t explicitly forced to buy anything and there is a daily bonus that can give you a bit of the in-game currency, but it’s random and even with the best luck (always getting the 3% chance reward) it would take 10 days to get anything really worthwhile.

Most recent update destroyed the game. In discord the Developer said;

“[v 1.0.7 “Hot Fix”]

Offline bonuses and helper updates

Adjusted to reset the original maximum value on prestige.”

These “helper updates” have caused people to no longer progress in the game at a reasonable rate. Game is now in a dire need of rebalancing. game is currently UNPLAYABLE as of November 22nd 2021. I will not be playing anymore. I will consider my $10 that I paid for the “starter pack” a “cost” of trying out this game. I do NOT recommend to anyone who likes Idle or Incremental games.

Knights and Castles

I thought this game was decent until I logged out. When I logged back in, all of my progress was gone after 63 hours of play as there is NO save option. And there is NO offline progression, so you gotta grind constantly albeit it can be in the background. And smelting large amounts takes longer than mining, I haven’t found a way to speed up smelting process if there is one. This game needs major improvements.

Long term investment idle game.

DLC is only if you want to support the developer and the goodies it gives are nothing one cannot unlock normally in the game. (Just a little boost to help you start)

I like idle games . . . a lot. Not sure why, but I play them almost exclusively. This is the 4th title I’ve played from this dev. This is his 6th game in about 11 months that he’s published on Steam, plus a few paid DLCs. Don’t know how many other games he’s published on other platforms.

From his other games, he seems to copy most of the core mechanics from one game to the next, along with some style aspects of the UI. This game has more refined graphics than the previous 8 bit graphics. I don’t mind 8 bit games at all and I’m not sure whether he made these assets himself or got them from an asset pack. Likely a mix of both. It’s a simple, grindy idle game with a built in auto-idle feature (buggy) that auto fights for you over night, if the game runs over night, so you don’t need to set up an auto clicker or anything. There’s no prestige/reset mechanic, but you increase the difficulty and rewards by fighting through all the mobs in each area at level 1, then when you beat the boss at the end, you can increase the mob difficulty and keep doing loops, increasing the difficulty as you go.

Pros:

  • Cute character sprites.

  • Decent music.

  • Small download.

  • Active developer.

Cons:

  • Sprites and texts are all different resolutions/sizes that don’t mix well. The dev needs to gain a better understanding of pixels, resolutions, and why stretching pixel art is a bad thing.

  • The GUI style makes it impossible to understand which numbers are prices and which numbers are how much you have on hand. The GUI style also does not do a good job of graying out or recoloring controls when you cannot afford things. The buttons at least have a hover-color, which is an improvement from the dev’s previous games.

Idle Monster Frontier

Idle Monster Frontier

I find this to actually be a very good Single Player Monster Collector game.

You push your team of monsters through a series of waves of enemies, collecting gold and other monsters to build your team. The basic gameplay loop is a monster collector, where a gold resource and other monsters you don’t want/need are consumed to make your main monsters more powerful.

It has a traits system where monsters can learn abilities from others allowing for customization.

The game is free, obviously with some very pay to win stuff available in the store. However there is practically nothing you cannot get in this game by playing it normally for free. The daily gems (premium currency) quests will give you a slow stream of currency to buy the things you need. Some players have complained that the best monsters in game are purchasable in the shop for 750 gems (which is a LOT) however they don’t really take into account that fact that this is a bad purchase type. The monster could have a low speed rating, and due to how levelling up a monster works, you do not need only 1 of a top tier monster, you will ultimately need many, many copies.

READ THIS!!

Lets start by saying this game will not play itself 100% of the time, SO WHAT!!.

This game has TONS of unique things not seen or tried on any of the multiple and plenty of Idles ive played before!

This game encourages creativity and imagination to build not the optimal but the team you dream of, The core is the only defining part while you are able to freely create a creature however you dream it for you specific team. They add new units, events, and they are (DEV) Looking out for the game, Dont let this few people that play the game for minutes or even low hours fool you. THIS IS A GREAT GAME.
