Crash Bandicoot™ N. Sane Trilogy
The PC version of Crash Bandicoot N.Sane Trilogy offers all the content and patches found in the other versions of the game. On top of this, you get the ability to play at unlocked framerates, 4k resolution, native support for all major controllers (Xbox One / 360 / Dualshock 4 / Steam Controller) along with a move set for keyboard and mouse.
If you’ve played the PS4 version, the multiplatform release brings a slew of fixes and one piece of additional content. A new level “Future Tense” which incorporates elements from an unfinished level found in the original Crash Bandicoot from 96’ – dubbed the “waterfall level”.

I have completed the entire trilogy on PS1 several times since the original release in 1996, and I played through the N-Sane Trilogy twice, 100%, since it’s PS4 launch in 2017.
The PS4 version was enjoyable, despite the 30 FPS and weird collision detection on boxes (which surprisingly seems to have been fixed in the PC version, and rope running on the bridge levels is now easier to do consistantly again).
Since the game finally has come to PC, I decided to give it another shot, and I can say, without a doubt, that this is the definitive way to play it!

Jet Set Radio
Have you ever wanted to be a rollar-blading punk, rollin' around the city tagging walls, and stickin' it to the man?
No? Maaaan fuck you get out of here yes you have. This game is known far across the land for it’s kickin' soundtrack, beats so thick you could bounce a coin off ‘em. Also, it’s so old GBA could run it, so don’t sweat the specs. Only worry is the keyboard controls suck harder than your EX girlfriend, so grab an Xbox 360 controller and get going.
Now the objective of the game is simple, roll around the city, tag some walls, and keep away from the fuzz. However, this is all done to the sweet sonic sound that will be oozing out of the audio device of your choosing. It also helps that this game has graphically dated better than you could ever dream of. (Oh snap son.) You might get one Jet rank on your first playthrough. Might. If you wanna get Jet on every mission you must first study the anicent urban staking gurus.

“Who are you! What’s your name? Super Brothers!”
Jet Set Radio is one of those games you most likely saw a demo of at a Target or Best Buy back in the early 2000s but never really got to play because you were too cool for a Dreamcast. Luckily, this PC port exists. This game is the perfect mix of skating and graffiti with a soundtrack to match and graphics that are considerably better than those of today’s games. The added danger of being tackled by street guards, being shot at by a crazed police captain, having missiles fired from helicopters, and run over by motorcycle riding police makes it more fun

40 Winks
I find this game rather enjoyable. I seen in Wikipedia IGN gave it a bad review cause of its difficulty? Not quite sure what they meant there. It maybe on the easier side but the game was meant for children so expect the difficulty to not be too hard. The game feels like a mixture of Kid Chameleon, Spyro the Dragon and other 3D platformer’s of the 90’s. In the game you have collect a certain amount of Winks to complete a level. While in the level you have to collect hidden keys and once all are collected the boss will be unlocked. During the stages you will also find hidden jack in the box that will allow you to change into a different character. Examples being you can change into a karate character, clown, monster etc… Using these characters also allows you to unlock certain hidden locations of a level if you pounce on a button that is needed to for that character. Long story short the game is rather fun to me and people will find enjoyment in it. As for issues there might be a tad input lag but its not to bad that’ll hinder the game play too much. The only annoyance is when in certain levels with water jumping to a ledge might be a pain. There is dips in framerate however I don’t see it too much at this current time. There has been updates to the game so possibly the emulator was tweaked a tad to fix framerate rate issue. To also help get more performance turn off the tv effect. Also people complained about saves luckily since the new update you can now do a quick save if the save feature breaks at any point in the game. Also you’re now able to change your button config for the game as well so you can use it with your Playstation controllers, Xbox controllers etc… and have the button config the exact way it should be. I find this game rather enjoyable and I would recommend it.

I have to not recommend this game at all. It’s a shame because the game looks interesting and I saw an update that recently happen in NOVEMBER 2019, after reading all the comments people posted and the reviews I had some hope but when I launched the game I repeat literally nothing happened. Sure the game loaded up, but that was it… the keyboard/controller for this game doesn’t work at all, I was spamming all the buttons on my keyboard and all I found to work with the game is NumPad plus+ (which just speeds up the game from 30-60 fps to over 100+ frames per second) and the F1, to F12 worked… I tried disconnecting, restarting steam, the common solutions and still nothing just stuck at the main menu which for some reason now does a weird BASS BOOST. Please fix this the state of this game before releasing it on steam, it’s not even funny bad, same goes with the port being terrible, having to save state which I thought people was making up, but no you actually have to save state and besides that again controls not even working… disappointed and requesting a refund.

Sonic Adventure DX
What a game! As of this evening, I have unlocked every single Sonic Adventure Steam Achievement and had a blast along the way. Through my almost two years of playing SA1, it got me through the lesser parts of 2020, got me back into retro games, got me into collecting for the Dreamcast, became one of my favorite games and made me realize just how much I love the Sonic franchise and how awesome a franchise it is at that. Most importantly, its energy and willingness to try a lot of different things made me view games the way I did as a kid: they don’t always have to super artsy or mature, they can also be a sincere attempt to take you on a wild, fun-filled adventure.

Literally the best Sonic game, hands down. Download some mods to make it look better, but the game slaps just like it always will.

Kao the Kangaroo: Round 2 (2003 re-release)
To be honest, right after finishing the game, I wanted to give it a thumbs down, cause the last level in the game is absolutely the worst, especially if you are trying to go for a ‘no-hit’ fight. But I changed my mind, cause in the end, I enjoyed most of the game, I even went for 100% achievements, which I would not do if the game sucked. So don’t mind that I give many more cons than pros, I would play it again.
PROS
+Varied gameplay
+Nostalgia value
+Decent audio
+The game actually looks alright for a 17-year old game

I got this while it was on Steam for free, which I was quite happy about actually as I was tempted to buy it very shortly before it went on promotion and I decided against it.
Kao the Kangaroo Round 2 is a classic 90s style 3D platformer which was originally released on PS2 in 2003 and re-released on Steam in 2019.
I love this era of platformers so I was eager to play through this. It took me 10 hours to complete apparently, which I can shamefully admit I did in one sitting due to me being a bit of completionist with these games. That time does include some hunting for tedious achievements of which I’ll mention soon.

Spyro™ Reignited Trilogy
A fun and sometimes very challenging game.
Gameplay is focused on collecting everything in every level, with some basic environmental puzzles and simple combat to keep things interesting. The remake seems to stay true to its occasionally outdated old-school roots, which means difficulty swings widely between cool and casual to punishingly difficult. If you’re a completionist then get ready to sweat: there are time-based precision challenges. Most are fair and can be beat with a lot of practice, but a few really made me question my life choices.

I’m giving a positive review because the game does not deserve a bad review at all, but a lot of times the game feels clunky. If they bothered to patch the issues it could probably be in a better state.
The artwork / graphics seems to be the highest regard here. It’s amazing.
Music was there but nothing insanely amazing either. It’s alright.
The gameplay is what I have problems with, I like the basic levels best, exploring, collecting, beating enemies it feels nice but the jumping sometimes annoyed me when u try to make a jump and he slides of the edge instead.

Voodoo Vince: Remastered
Voodoo Vince was one of those obscure Original Xbox games that didn’t get much attention.
While this game itches a satisfy nostalgia itch, there are more reasons this game deserves some praise.
Original xbox emulation isn’t easy, same goes for trying to port these type of games.
The pros and cons will be written with new-players in mind. For nostalgia players, this game is a must-buy. There is nothing I have to say convince you, it’s a proper remaster. But for those who have never even heard of Voodoo Vince before, this is what you want to hear

Voodoo Vince: Remastered is a an amazing next-gen port (sans PS4, unfortunately) of the original X-Box Puzzle Platformer Voodoo Vince!
Ever since I got the original version of the game back in 2010, I found myself always coming back to play through the game at least once a year, and now I can do that in high definition on my PC without having to hook up the old X-Box.
The graphics have been updated phenomenally considering this was an X-Box launch title, as well as clean-cut sound files to make the game look and sound amazing.

Earthworm Jim 3D
Is it possible for a mediocre game to become better, more enjoyable with time? I find myself asking this question, having completed Earthworm Jim 3D.
Forget about comparing this game to the 2D entries of the series. This game is nothing like its 16-bit predecessors. Judging this game simply on the merits of platformers from the N64 era of platformers reveals a competent game filled with silly humor and dated pop culture references. Controls and gameplay are reminiscent of Nintendo’s own platform-centric franchises of the era. The aesthetic closely resembles the Earthworm Jim TV show and holds up nicely, even by today’s HD standards. The voice work and sound effects give the game a unique personality and a real throwback quality. The game is retro without being retro, if that makes any sense.

This game is something else, I tell ya. It’s a poorly done port of the PC original, I do believe, but they literally forgot to put the music files in the game. I kid ye not. You can patch this with mods, of course (and by mods, I mean literally downloading the soundtrack and slapping it in), but it’s strange how it’s gone. This isn’t even the only problem.
There are many little issues like the game forgetting control settings every time you load up as well. And the topper of this entire port:
It still has piracy protection active. Asking you to put the game CD in, or just simply saying “Jump for joy if you like Earthworm Jim!” as an anti-piracy measure.

Sonic Adventure 2
We all know what you’re here for. Adventure Two is a good game, with an interesting story and good, if not a bit buggy controls. But the Chao Garden is the reason to keep coming back. 9.5/10. Needs more slots for chao.

live and learn mfs
not perfect, lots of things got rough with time, but god isnt it just fun and satisfying. except the treasure hunting in later stages everything else is just plain fun, with sonic and shadow levels being so good making me replay them a lot. music slaps, not only does it fit the environment and level, it fits the current ongoing story events (be it green forest and white jungle as the best examples). the story and characters were crafted with such a care, thats absolutely absent in current sonic games.

TY the Tasmanian Tiger 2
This game is amazing. 11/10 would play for hours then die knowing they lived a life fulfilled.
Taking off the nostaliga goggles now.
This game game out originally when I was a kid, so back then I wasn’t aware of what a good ps2 game really was. Looking back, I can say that this game, while not particularly a pioneer of the system, was very well made for the system and its time. The game takes the parts of its predecessor that worked very well (the rang variation, story, setting, characters, and physics, among many other things) and fleshs them out to a much fuller extent.

Note: My review is set to change as more updates come out, please beware that the game is not 100% polished yet.
TL:DR - Buy the game if you are a fan of the series but also platformers and collectathon type games. It runs well and plenty to do for what you pay for.
-
Runs smoothly (for the most part)
-
Bigger world
-
More puzzles
-
Keyboard & Controller support
-
Racing
-
Cutscenes
-
Random slow-down
-
No check-list
-
Biting Issue
The game runs well, for a game larger than Ty 1 I expected it to run kinda slow due to it being not 100% polished but it runs very well. Only in minor areas has the game just slowed down for no real reason but has quickly fixed itself. I believe the loading gates are to thank for this and they don’t seem to drag on as much as I remember they used to do.
