TERA - Action MMORPG

TERA - Action MMORPG

After playing this game for roughly 4-5 years I can honestly say it’s my go to MMO. My main is a reaper which I like the rotations and skills used, it’s a class I find more unique then most other games online. At 1st I had a lot grps complaining about my dmg and my rotations and I actually thought I was playing my class properly. Truthfully though, I did some research, looked up the skills and rotations and found out that other players were correct and I was actually a terrible reaper.

But after sometime, research and putting skills in the correct area of the tool bar, I got better, much better. The game itself in all the years it’s been around has improved in some areas, considering how it used to be when I 1st started to now, you can see the developers put sometime into it and made things for the better in TERA.

It’s going to be F2P next week, so there is actually no reason not to play it. It is, after all, the MMORPG with the best Combatsystem (and the most beautiful as well… especially the Castanics. If you know what I mean. ;) ).

It’s more like a Hack n Slash with one of the Melee Classes. lol.

I can only recommend checking it out if you are into MMORPGs.

/edit 06.02.2017

This recommendation is from January 2013, so take it with a grain of salt. I don’t know how it is now, what gameforge changed and if it’s good for those who play it without spending a dime.

ELIOS VR

The game has much promise, but pains me to where I have to thumbs down the game.

Here is the scoop so far, as I reached level 100:

Pros:

+Charming graphics.

+Interesting combat physics.

Cons:

-Soundtrack, please allow me to mute music and not the game entirely. its mind numbing

-1 to 2 shot enemies.

-Enemies don’t attack you, I mean some do.. some don’t.

-Has a glitch with the quests where you can level up with the same quest.

-No shops, although you have all this gold?

-Kill 1 enemy, and return to NPC. Repeat. There is a story for ya..

I imagined this to be so much more than what it was. after 1 hour of gameplay i was level 52 with no sort of rewarding feeling or feeling of progression. playing as a knight you literally hit monster once, turn in quest. do it again. lol. im sorry this is an mmo for a 5 year old. i understand this is early access but i mean this is the most lack luster game ive ever experienced. i have over 250 health potions that will never need to be used and enhancement stones with no way of even using them.

The Ultimatest Battle

After being part of Alpha and Beta testing…

THIS REVIEW WILL GO STRAIGHT THROUGH EVERYTHING

GOODS :

  • Fully free to play, will never be pay2win ;

  • The spirit of Team Fortress 2 mixed with Worms and Smash Bros ;

  • The best community i’ve ever known, old players giving thousands of weapons to new players and advices on global chat… Rare thing nowadays ;

  • 6 balanced classes you can customize with hundreds of hats and accessories ;

  • 9 different game modes (some will come back for events such as Zombie-Mode and Boss-Battles) ;

Real player with 249.3 hrs in game

This is one great game, with no p2w. The game, as you’ve probably seen in other reviews, feels like a mix between Team Fortress 2 and Worms. You can get all weapons with crafting, and can get the ones you want first quite fast with crafting and trading. Skins and other shop items can be won through a lottery, which requires 5 tickets to play, and you get 2 tickets per day if you do your 3 daily quests, which takes little time. Not only that, but new players won’t be in a disadvantage since the default weapons are balanced so they are just as good as other weapons. You will end up liking one weapon more than others though, so that’s up to you. But nonetheless, this is a great game and all it’s missing is a bigger community. Give it a try.

Wartune Reborn

Wartune Reborn

I was going to protect this game because of the nice memories, but I can’t at the moment.

There are only 5 servers shown 88-92 (I bet it will eventually get to hundreds, glad that doesn’t show them all and say “you can’t join this server”), in the old browser version, servers had different timezones, from those five, 3 have the same time and the other 2 has -1 hour… It would be cool if you could actually see the timezones before creating a character, I made one for all those servers just to get dissapointed… I know the rest is some grind and P2W stuff, but not sure if I should play with the time issue, should I wait for other servers?

I have over 150+ hours and these CMs are the worse CMs ive ever seen in any mmorpg game they are so bad do not recommand playing unless you wanna get banned for something dumb!

Real player with 828.4 hrs in game

I have more than 300 hours of gameplay and I came here to talk about the game: (version 3.2)

Good stuff:

1. Totally free to play so far

2. Interesting and challenging missions.

3. Interesting magic system

4. Rare items and difficult to obtain.

5. Interesting Pvp

Problems:

1. Poor balance Some classes are better than others.

2. Toxic community and many racist people … for you to have an idea the developers will remove the monkey mob from the game because of that.

3. Bad market system (can improve many things)

Lost Ark

Lost Ark

The game is in a storytelling marvel, and offers so much content that you could fill an entire day with Lost Ark alone and still have plenty left over to do. While we are in Alpha testing I will hold off on making any comments as a final review - but, in the interim I will say I have been enjoying the game so, so much. While Amazon Games has stumbled in the past with past titles, I feel they will do a good job publishing the title for a western audience. Cheers to the staff who have worked around the clock, and cheers to the community who has waited tirelessly since they heard about the game for it’s arrival to the west. We made it, lads. ♥

Had been looking at this game since it released in Korean and am so excited that it’s finally releasing in NA. After playing the technical alpha, I’m hooked! The combat is fun and engaging. While very similar to the Diablo games, the combat in this game also features chain attacks or combos (depending on the class you’re playing). The story is compelling enough to keep your interest (although I powered through it to avoid spoiling anything major for the full release) and the environments are beautiful and interesting.

Nin Online

Nin Online

Ninja MMORPG with hardcore, old-school MMORPG inspirations and Open World PvP.

Free-to-play with zero Pay-to-win mechanics.

  • Choose from 3 Villages or become a Rogue Ninja

    Start off as in one of three factions, grow up in the safety of the gates of each village. But once you’re strong enough, you can choose to abandon your home and become a hermit… or even go rogue.

  • Open World PvP & Hardcore Game Design

    This may be a turn off for some, but Nin Online is a very hardcore game. So take this as a word of warning… Absolute freedom when it comes to PvP also means a bad time for some with a low tolerance for being killed for no reason. But for others, it’s just another reason to get stronger in this harsh Ninjaverse.

  • Deep Character Customization in the right places

    Choose to be part of a clan, join an organization or sign a contract with an animal familiar. Combined with thousands of equip-able items, no two ninja will ever look or be the same. Nin Online is a game where you are encouraged to express yourself. Looking good doesn’t cost you to lose fights.

  • Friendly and active community & developers

    The greatest feature of Nin Online is it’s tight knit community. The developers are active in our chat channels and have been constantly listening to feedback improving it since it’s release. The game is still in active development with updates being made on a weekly and sometimes daily basis.

Ballistic Overkill

Ballistic Overkill

After pouring a good amount of hours into this game. It will be the times I should put an actual review of this game. As many of you know by now, you would have known me for my videos of the game ever since it came into Steam and could go back to the days since the days of Kongate/Facebook. I been through all times when the game mades changes to its mechanic, weapon system, and much more. If you want a shooter that is straight forward by jumping into a random lobby with other fellow player, but at a slightly faster pace than CSGO, this game is for you to try out. All you have to do is jump into a lobby and start shooting people away. When the game was at its prime, there are several servers you can choose from different regions. Aside with the issues it has with its P2P code and it wont register your keyboard/mouse input, it gets it down for being responsive. The weapons on each character define a specific playstyle they try to promote and it reflects on those players that can utilize it. However, certain classes sometimes go beyond that intent and ends up either not representing that role or some classes share it. The level up system is straight forward, the more you play, the more access you have to slots, weapons, and skills you can utilize to your character. Although it went away from its skill tree system, choosing 2 skills allows you to tailor your character to your liking. (Sometimes one build becomes the must build of all time instead of experimenting). Despite the fact this game is retired by the developers of the game that had a goal for this game, they did leave it for us to use it in a way where us veterans can play the game to either remind us how could the game be as planned for. There will be times when the game is completely dead, but dont worry there will be stubborn players out there that still enjoy the game as the rest of the community that stood behind it. Also for a price of $1.99, its a deal of a shooter game that offers so much content. There isnt an end game you can chase after, but you can enjoy what it has to offer and might end up playing every class like I do and try new things that I never done before. This is part of the fun.

So I’ve never written one of these before, but I feel that a warning for prospective buyers is in order.

I’ve played this game a lot as you can see, since (very) early access. Clearly I liked it in the past, but now I’m not so sure. Why?

There is very little, if any, testing of a new update before it gets pushed out. Crippling bugs like the game not launching on Mac and/or Linux, black screens and other such delights are often missed and unleashed on unsuspecting players. I seriously wonder if any testing is done at all, these bugs are so bad and so obvious they surely would have found them by just opening the game once. This was somewhat acceptable in early access, but by now it’s ridiculous.

Florensia

I have been playing this game on an off for about 8 years, before the new server even came out and have probably wasted more than 3000 hours of my life across several accounts and multiple different characters. I find the game itself quite fun although it can be repetitive at times with its mundane combat system and buggy naval combat, however, what plagues this game the most is the absence of options for free to play players to get gear or equipment that could be considered at least mediocre: before the elite dungeons update, free to play players could make a decent amount of money by grinding sea levels and gathering magic crystals (a valuable in game resource). However, after the update even that option got removed as magic crystals became way more common and the only viable way to get better gear became spending real money in the game.Overall the game is pretty good and can be fun if played with friends for the first time, but is an absolute pay to win nightmare.

First of all, sorry for my poor english, its not my first language.

I’ve played this game for a long time before it came to steam, im very happy it still alive! This simple MMORPG taught me how to play with a keyboard, since it was the one of the firsts game i’ve ever played on a PC. This game have amazing songs, and the graphics are cute (at least before you leave the first island), but they work very well with the atmosphere. As you progress, you have to sail to another islands, and you can control you battleship on the ocean, listening to the greatests songs in the game.
