Lifeblood

Lifeblood

I found this game through a video by Seycara (the composer of the OST). I received a code by supporting the development via the paypal link on the developer’s website, before the Steam Release. The team behind this game has a lot of heart and I admire their dedication to making this game the fantasy BR/survival experience that has been lacking in the market. I highly recommend participating in this game’s early access if you’re interested in helping Homage Studios make this game the masterpiece I know it can become.

  • The game is extremely enjoyable if rough at the start, learning curve is massive, YOU WILL BE ENDED by anyone who has any idea of what they are doing.

  • Classes are vastly different from each other, each with ups and downs and counters.

  • Battles feel like something out of a fantasy book with shit going EVERYWHERE even in small fights from 1v1s to 3v3s or more depending on how many teams are ingame.

  • Crafting and upgrading is how you all weapons and armor it’s simple but, works well you get your gear and choose to either start hunting or more scaveging to get upgrades.

Must buy if you like RPGs!

It’s nice to see a solid, well presented and very playable game of this type appear without the usual hype and fanfare, and get plenty of attention for its gameplay rather than its sexy heroine or Hollywood guest stars. These game has made it work. I can tell this is going to be extremely replayable. There is 10 heroes and you make a party of 4 at any one time. You also choose a starting hero and your first partner varies depending on who you choose.

The game takes a little adjusting to but honestly is really enjoyable and reminiscent of a classic old school RPG. You can stat up characters, use equipment slots and seems like there are a lot of abilities just like you would expect. Not a huge story game but seems like a fun hack and slash.

Elven Magic: The Witch, The Elf & The Fairy

Elven Magic: The Witch, The Elf & The Fairy

This story is to be implemented in time and it is based on a book called Elven Magic by Daniel Chay.

“A Game about Elves and Witches. Elven Voices delves deeper into Fae the elven witch’s apprentice and there endless struggle to recover their lost spell book from Earthen Lands without drawing any attention to themselves because this is strictly forbidden by the Elven Elders.

The story continues into another world and there are many twists and turns for Fae the Elven Girl and the Witch named Ellen that would have Fae be her apprentice to uncover. The imperial guard of the nearby capital city may prove difficult to avoid. It details the rise of a Wyvern Wraith and the plight of a Witch Wraith.”

This review will be updated every now and then.

  • 12th July 2019. Recently Offline progress was added to the game. It works fine as long as you log in to see it. Note that you do not gain offline rewards if you get the daily rewards pop-up instead.

  • 7th April 2019 I went for the God-like bonus, so starting here my account is technically no longer F2P, but the March review is still from a F2P perspective. (I was F2P up to Path 8107)

Edit: Forgot to specify that at the time of getting this premium bonus I had purchased everything from the premium shop other than one Pet and most Realms for freely earned Apples.

Recommended if you’d like to have something to do while watching videos or doing other less engaging stuff.

Very active devs. Quite transparent, responsive, polite. Frequent content patches.

There is a leaderboard in this game. If you care about that, this game is pay-to-win. If you don’t, it’s not. Premium currency is farmable and is a lot more accessible than other games with p2w systems. You can eventually collect all the premium upgrades with time and dedication- there is no paywall. But if you care about ranking, you likely won’t beat the guy straight dumping cash on the upgrades, unless he goes on a hiatus.

Dredgers

This is tough, because I love this game and it’s concept. It’s so fun! I have a lot of praise for it.

Unfortunately, I feel like I can’t recommend it at this time for two reasons:

  1. Missing basics like any type of saving, which pretty much everything I’ve played since the days of shareware has had, seems quite sloppy. The display of the amount of hours I’ve played isn’t really correct: most of that has been on pause because I didn’t want to exit and lose all my progress on the run.

  2. Do you know how my last run ended? No? Neither do I. Based on all the information I had, it didn’t make sense. Many key things are just not explained, so new players are going to go through several baptisms by fire, creating a lot of frustration.

Pretty solid roguelike with emphasis on speedy playthroughs and choosing your next step, though that can be its weakness too. Its big selling points are the 30+ races and crazy class combinations which are very very satisfying to play with, as well as actual honest-to-god necromancy where you can have a zombie horde if you want. Or you could skip zombies altogether, dominate the minds of your enemies, send them at your foes, blow up their (animate or inanimate) corpses into a huge mess when they die and then revive them and your former foes as skeletons. Full crafter build is viable, and thats before we get onto races. Pretty much anything that spawns in the dungeon is something you can unlock and play pretty quickly. Only exception afaik is the slime MAN (you can be a regular slime) but I suspect that’ll be implemented in time.

I’m only a couple hours in on release day, and will update review accordingly if my conclusion changes, the deeper I get.

I don’t tend to read anything when I start a new game, and that fact didn’t make me feel lost at any point. I quickly figured out what was going on. Even with simply jumping in, like I do, the game immediately drew me in, and made it rewarding to keep going, as most idlers do.

I really like the card system, as opposed to the normal “hero” upgrades.

Even though there are a lot of cards in both decks that you have access to, at the start-ish of the game, to look at, and consider, the game keeps it pretty straight forward, and the management feels very simple and easy.

DPS IDLE seems to be a nice game at its core and you can easily feel it is still in EA as the balancing is far off.

The graphics are okay. Sadly the game doesn’t really tell you anything about what feature does what. If you never played an idle game before, you’ll probably stuck quickly. Else you will see nothing really much new.

Now the part why I give this game a no is the monetization.

The prices for the given features are extremely high.

Im playing this since it came out a year ago. The progress is slowly, but in this game you can build up your character in different ways. Lots of loopholes allow boosts of progress. Many of these Loopholes are only working during a certain stage of progress. Searching and using these makes the most fun.

I play a different style, than the developer intended. I play without any reincarnation and i was still able to get the DS killed even before this game came to steam. Since then i made even much more progress.

First time playing this game - Unlike some who have had the chance to play it on some websites.

Easy learning curve and they introduce new features such that we are never bored. The biggest wall we encounter is probably the one for the reincarnation feature (different from rebirth). Be patient - We are not meant to access that content early on. Make sure you read some guides on how to beat the challenge though as it requires a specific strategy.

As for premium currency, we get a ton from regular quests and daily quests. Save to purchase any upgrades that improve you daily quests first such that, later on, you are guaranteed at least 1 to 2k Epic coins per day from the daily quests alone.
