Kingdom Wars: The Plague
It seriously needed a extra month or more just making tool tips and basic placements on maps right before EA ,and bear in mind it’s used a massive chunk of a previous game just to start with so it’s not a normal EA from the ground up
The devs say different but it’s pretty similar in play to MKW atm, so if you enjoyed that you’ll like this
Had a full game 30hrs+ and tbh I couldn’t face a replay
the repetition is just too much same units /same maps/ same annoying pre build for resources every single little battle despite the fact the actual battle will only last minutes

The Plague: Kingdom Wars is a very fun game that feels like someone took Medieval 2 TW and Stronghold and smashed them together. It is still early access and in Alpha stage but the potential this game has is staggering.
Gameplay is split between a strategic overworld map similar to TW where you move your armies around, conduct diplomacy and upgrade your various cities and hamlets. Battles switch you to an RTS like system similar again to TW but with the addition of being able to build units, buildings and defences to try and give yourself an edge or tip the balance against your opponent.

King of the Universe
In the 24th century BC, the Sumerians have turned the land of Mesopotamia from a simple Cradle of Civilization to the home of empires. It is your mission to take control of the kingdom of Kish and conquer your enemies, in order to become Lugal Kiški, King of the Universe.
The Sumerians, or “the black-headed people” (Sag̃-g̃i-ga in their native tongue), were the first people to invent both civilization and writing. Their well-organised and state-run societies make the perfect setting for a strategic video game. In King of the Universe, you will not only try to conquer your enemies, you will also have to take care of your own people.
Through military means you gather land and slaves, and through economic means you build new structures for your people. If your citizens do not produce enough supplies to quench your war machine, you will fail. If you do not protect your citizens from foreign invaders, you will fail. This game is about balance, and only by finding it will you become King of the Universe.

Shadowbane
First of all, this game is absolutely worth playing if you are into oldschool PvP MMOs. No other game allows such in-depth character customization. Sandbox elements are present but are not annoying to the end of being “chop trees to gather lumber”. “Sandbox” here is actually building cities and demolishing your enemies’ cities in sieges, hiring AI mercenaries to craft items which is another good part of this game, crafting isn’t about gathering 10 dragon scales and 1 mummy dust by repetitively killing monsters, it’s more about having mercenaries of right races placed in your forges and having resources from right zones in general, even city building (if you happen to own / manage one) is as simple as placing the building on the city grid and waiting several hours for it to go up in one click.

Overall an exceptionally poor experience.
So why do I have so many hours you ask? 1) nostalgia and 2) I played with friends, but neither of those points are positives to the game in particular. And also do not be mistaken, for an RPG 80% of this playtime was sitting afk while leeching experience from macro-bots which is what everyone uses.
So this game is mislabeled as a PVP title. It isn’t. It’s actually a zerg v zerg title and those battles are decided by sheer numbers. If it was a pvp game, you’d have skills which synergize with each other to allow for good and creative builds. Builds which later you can learn to play and get better as you get more accustomed to playing your toon. Not the case here. At first glance you have SO many races, professions and disciplines to combine that the options eem endless…until you realize that every profession has no more than 2 ways to build it if you want to be in any way viable. Yes, you CAN be a minotaur that uses unarmed fighting, except due to weapon skill restrictions (built into the races) and stat caps you’ll never be more than 20% of the strength of a proper polearm minotaur.

Frontier of Fortune
fun enough game thats simple and straight forward, and very repeatative. There’s a single means of controling the battle, a slider. unfortunately it’s of limited use once troops start fighting as even if you’re fighting at the enemy’s gates and then disengage a good portion of your troops will continue to fight the enemy, and even those who have disengaged will often immediately rush back towards the enemy once they reach the point you’ve set, compounding how horrible this is is the fact that your troops won’t fall back all at once and instead will go back is in clumps of 2-4. additionally spawning in more troops happens in a similar manner, resulting in frequent situations where player troops are picked off piecemeal.

Bunker Builder “Atlantic Wall”
When you begin the game you will become the constructor and the builder of the most important part of the Atlantic Wall. “Fortress Europe” awaits your intelligence and creativity. You will be responsible for choosing the right projects for the construction of bunkers, their proper deployment on the coast of France, all for one purpose – to stop the Invasion of the Allies.
You will be responsible for maintaining business continuity, arranging the supply of construction machinery, supplying reinforcing steel and cement. You must remember that the material shortages of the German Reich constantly bombed by Allies can seriously interrupt your plans. You must use your intelligence and flair to provide continuous supplies and keep the bunkers growing.
The bunkers you have built, fortified trenches, shooting positions, hidden artillery positions and improvised resistance points will be subject to a strict assessment by the Chief Staff of the Wehrmacht and its chief inspector Erwin Rommel. When ther become fully operational next task will be required. You will need to take care of provisioning of ammunition and food for your garrison.
When you done with the project of Fortress Europe, the day of rehearsal will come, where you will have the opportunity to change the course of history. Success depends on how well you have prepared the defence and how well you have trained the garrison. Remember, if the landing of the Allied troops on your beach proves to be successful, you lost the game…

Despite still being so early in its development, this is a very fun game. The devs are very responsive to community feedback and surprisingly quick to fix issues for such a small team. If you are looking for a full out medieval sims game… it’s not quite there yet, but if you enjoy designing castles and fighting bandits, it’s already good to go.

Magnery Reign
Magnery Reign gives you the opportunity to feel like a city manager, and subsequently create your own country. This is not an easy task, because it will not be a calm walk in the park: bandits, soldiers of other countries and even enemy robots will prevent you from calmly going about your business.
At first, you will have a small village at the end of the world, which is part of one of the countries, few people and nothing at all resources.
However, even such a small and poor settlement will still try to rob the bandits greedy for profit.
You will need to show strategic thinking and not only create a variety of weapons for your people, but also build defensive structures or even send armored vehicles, under the control of your fighters, to strengthen the bandits and the capitals of countries that imagine themselves to be the kings of this world.
When your settlement gets the right to be called a city, then political games will be added to the problems that were before, because your settlement is not the only one on the map. Someone wants to trade with you, and someone wants to get your wealth by force.
Therefore, it will be vital not only to strengthen defensive positions, but also to develop relations with countries and other settlements.
By developing further, gaining experience and strengthening your position in the political arena, you will be able to declare your independence and become the head of your own country.
You will be able not only to reach a new level of relations with other countries, but also to a new level of destruction, because now you have access to the resources of not only your city and its regions, but also the resources of your entire country.
And how you dispose of them depends only on you!

World Of Conquerors - Origins
having played the game a decent amount of time this game for me was very enjoyable. You build cities over time like a mobile game but you can raid for the resources you need through play. you have to consider unit strengths you can upgrade units with tech and pick and level up your general who serves as your heavy hitter. Game looks are not what is important to me and i enjoy the gameplay which i think is better. i’ve seen better but i’ve certainly seen worse at least nothing is glitching through the walls.

I’ve played Evony, Stronghold Kingdoms Online, and others in this genre. This is the first one I’ve seen where you control an army live in rts style. I like it. Also, there’s no long wait as your army very slowly travels across the map. This game uses a points system. You can travel anywhere you want instantly as long as you have the Marching Points. Your market, barracks, stables, and archer/ranger school generate Marching points. You also loot Marching points when you raid things, including other players. Plenty of inactives to raid if you’re a new player grinding it out to your promotion. This game just went free to play so if you’re into Evony type games you’ll want to try this one out for sure. There are three races you can choose from. I chose the Elves because I like ranged armies and the Elves have the best ranger bonuses. But each race has it’s own unique benefits/bonuses.
