I do think Spacefolk City is a good game and worthy of recommending. However, it definitely is not for everyone or a must-experience for VR by any stretch of the imagination. It’s a nicely put together game that will appeal to anyone looking for a casual city building (space-themed) experience. However, if you’re looking for a hard-core city sim, then you will be sorely disappointed here. This game trades in depth for accessibility.

HOW are there no reviews for this game?! It is awesome! I have been waiting a really long time for something like this to come along and it is very well done. It had my vote for VR GOTY.

It is polished, plays great, soundtrack is hilarious and a great compliment to the game, more people should check this out. There aren’t enough VR city builders and the ones there are fall flat. This is an amazing VR game!

I have been waiting a while for a game like this for VR and I was not disappointed. I was on the fence about this one at first but this game is exactly what I was hoping it would be: a sim city/sim tower-style management game that feels great in VR.

I am hoping they make Rift/Touch-specific controls at some point (the time control menu feels a bit awkward) but as-is it works well enough that it does not detract much. There is a decent amount of content to work with and there are still some things I haven’t unlocked. The goals and challenges really help with pacing so you pretty much always feel like you have something to work toward. I hope they continue to add and polish it going forward as it has a lot of potential but the core gameplay is solid as is. Overall: looks great, feels great, I’m having a blast!

Great to see a SimTower-like game on the VR marketplace! As I started to master the control scheme (playing on the Vive), the hands-on building style is really satisfying, especially once I began to pick up speed. The large number of pieces was a little daunting at first, but I was really thankful for the variety the more I started to play around in sandbox mode. This game has a lot of potential, especially in further updates to clean up a few glitches and overall smoothness, but overall I feel rewarded for learning the interactions of each unit and experimenting with the different styles of each piece. Hope the devs keep up with the community!

As a concept, this is one of the smartest VR games I’ve seen; such a simple but novel idea that utilizes VR in an outside the box manner. Now, it’s worth noting that Diorama Worlds is only a ‘game’ in as much as titles like Tilt Brush or Medium are. It’s more of a utility for making spectacular little dioramas that you can view as miniatures in your hand, or blown up to life size scale. For that reason, I would caution that this game is mostly going to appeal more to the type of person who enjoys that kind of thing, as the satisfaction I derive from it reminds me of the same kind of satisfaction I get from painting miniatures, model building, sculpting, painting, etc.

Dont be fooled by the crazy logo! This is Really Fun to Play and it is also a professional feeling level/scene designer! In a couple hours I had a slick looking RPG dungeon scene. Started with animated Lava tiles, and eventually was placing little lamp posts, a flying bat and quickly posed a warrior skeliton with 6 weapons stuck in him. I really hope a community gets behind this.

On your left hand you can pick various themes (i.e. Fallout, Fantasy, Modern, Pixel) then pick item classes (i.e. Landscape, Creatures, Effects) and then you Snap Pieces into a small model world. The Zooom camera brings the scenes to life, a lot of detail comes into each object the closer you get.

Almost worth every penny spent getting an Oculus and purchasing this “Game”…

Absolutely has me addicted… Almost to the point where I’ve caught myself planning out what I want in my TinyTown every time I had a “Quiet” moment at work today!

It has almost everything I want from a building game, the open space, blank pallet and the limits of your own imagination! As someone recently put it: its like a virtual lego set, but without the mess!

It does however have a few minor snags (Which I’m sure will be fixed or added to future updates)

Tiny town vr is a great game, unfortunately its very heavily let down by the lack of content that’s been added into it. As a content creator its one of my favourite games to make videos on as i can let my imagination go wild, but unfortunately the only thing keeping this game alive is the workshop community. However very little new content of note is added to the workshop

The developer hasn’t said a thing since 2018 which was when the last update came out. Since then there has been many game breaking bugs which have been discovered with no sight of an update or a patch to any aspect of the game.

Nice game. Simple graphics and simple mechanics - but very challenging and addictive.

The control scheme is quite unusual but very intuitive.

A fine example showing a fresh idea with a well thought out implementation is more important than a big budget.

The demo for this game was quite good. Then buying the full game just ramps the difficulty waaay up beyond the intro levels. It is unnecessarily difficult, and I truly gave it my all. I made it through a couple levels past what the demo offers, and according to steam achievements, only 11.8% of players made it as far as I did. There are no videos or walkthroughs online demonstrating a complete playthrough, and frankly, it may be downright impossible. You will be completely overrun by hordes of enemies before making it to the third set of levels, and I don’t understand why the enemy spawns are this absurd. The strategies of building redundancy, providing docks for resources, and keeping protection nearby just aren’t enough to keep pace with the game.

Complete strategy game, mix between management and city-builder with a dose of tower defense but, here no pre-defined box, or unique courses, it is very clear in VR and without alliasing. We are on the best VR strategy game far superior to my other strat games on VR.

We are very free in the approach of the game (be it the movements or the strategy), good replayability levels are procedurally generated at each game. I am 6 hours of play and I beat half of the game, there’s a challenge. The game requires a little grip because of these many possibilities and its depth. Party purposes are epics

I wish it was easier. I never understood how to play the game. I kept running out of water but when I put down the water tower it didn’t work. The tutorial is completely broken. I remember having to look up a Youtube video of you playing the game to understand more. I would love a easy mode or a mode where there’s only one supplies your trying to maintain. I enjoyed it. I just wish it was more well explained.

Mall Town

Mall Town

This game is awesome. I love it, my wife loves it and you will love it. Lol well … it’s fun, i spent about 2 hours so far, lots of interaction with opening new stores, handle the elevators, and lots of cool mechanics . It’s simple at first and the developer built enough into it that it’s worth about $5-$10 USD at the moment. There is enough depth that it’s not boring and there are increasing amount of engagements like borrowing from the bank lost and found finding things, and more. It’s simple at first but you have to keep up as your mall builds and the neighborhood builds. I can REALLY see the developer going nuts with this thing adding tons of material. I own about 100 VR games, the best to some more simple. I had this one on my wishlist to come out. I’m big into simulations like elite dangerous, DCS, Pavlov, Onward, assetto corsa, final assault, beat saber (dl music mod … game is nill without it), etc. This one is relaxing and a fun time. I would say that the mechanics are fluid and what you would expect. Watch the video, check it out yourself, and what you see is what you get. I enjoy it. 2 thumbs up! I hope to see more content as it catches on like Ironwolf! =)

+Mall Management

+Mini Games

-Feels a bit unfinished

-Could use more stores, more minigames etc.

-only takes a little over an hour to “Finish” and no real reason to keep going after that.

-Has quite a few bugs (Little guys getting stuck, minigames with bugs that are a bit frustrating)

3/5

Great start to a Mall Management game with minigames, although it really feels unfinished. If it weren’t for the game being quite entertaining and the dev still updating this I don’t know if I could recommend this. And I definitely wish there was Index Knuckles support. But, overall a nice little mall management game with no way to lose.

As of writing, It’s the end of September 2021 and they finally dropped a huge content dump.

People can remove the tin hats and ease off talk of the game being a scam, which should be a relief to everyone.

As far as content goes, it’s changed significantly and has not only redeemed itself for the 2 year silence, but has surpassed expectations. Looking at the discussion forums and news threads, it appears the latest update has pleased many of the original backers. If you were unsure of the game’s development, worry no more. Clearly HandyGames has been working extremely hard over the last few years and is developing a real gem. It’s still in Early Access and hopefully that means there’s even more room for growth but, in all honesty, even if they only squash bugs and polish things between now and full release, what’s on offer now is well worth the money.

Well. They finally actually made a real game instead of having an unfinished 25 dollar demo posted for years with barely any communication.

And the game they’ve made? It’s pretty good! Watching your little villagers run around is endearing. There’s a decent variety of buildings and things you need to plop down. It’s the only VR game in this genre that I’m aware of which is any good. There’s a decent amount of levels which do force you to change up the way you prioritize what to build. And that alone makes this worth enough for the price.

was really excited for a vr city builder. so dissapointed in this, controls are a pain in the ass! glitchy and throws you all over the place. nice to see that steps have been taken to start on city builders. has a long way to go though.

A VR city builder a simulator players dream. This game has a lot of potential and im excited for it, but as of right now I wouldnt reccomend it till some bugs are fixed. The tutorial seemed to proceed faster than i learned to the point i had to restart the tutorial a few times. As well as some of the buildings didnt have details so that i could tell the purpose so the city (mainly service buildings) and sometimes my building would fling off the map and just be gone (Bye bye family of six T.T). All things that can be easily fixed. I do have high hopes and will update review accordingly.
