Space Colony: Steam Edition
I really like this game. It has been described as The Sims in Space. I have never liked The Sims games as I find that they are far too repetitive and boring. Space Colony is a good building game, The Sims element is that you do have to be aware of the needs of your operatives to improve production. This does give an extra twist to the game that you have to think about and some of the challenges are based around ensuring that your crew are reletively happy or they won’t work.
Any Building Sim worth it’s salt should have an element of ensuring that you are providing basic things, such as food, so I don’t find this particularly strange, as some have mentioned. Making sure your crew does not go mad while on an abandoned planet does give the game an additional challenge.

well i dont know what to say, i really want to like this game but its more about mini managing all of the peoples quirks than it is about building a colony. the maps are very small so building is limited even in sandbox mode. there are numerous objects on maps that cannot be removed (maybe by bombs in free mode ?) forcing you to make odd looking and crappy base layouts in most cases.
alot of the quests are just kind of gimmicky, in a previous scenario you will unlock items for the quest, yet the very next quest acts like you never used them before just to make certain quests “seem” harder. although there is an option to download user made content so thats a plus.

Ecoplanet
Ecoplanet is a tycoon-based eco-simulation game with a variety of opportunities to manage, design and expand your own islands. You are free to place whatever animals, plants and scenic objects you desire. But be warned because every action has a consequence and you wouldn’t want your ecosystem to collapse! Work with E.Corp to become an island expert and make your millions.
You will be working with a company called E.Corp who are your friend when it comes to making money and progressing through the game! You will need to send them your animals to help them out, whether it’s for a new exhibit in a zoo or to be used for research. You should assist them as much as possible and make a pretty penny at the same time!
As you get deeper into the game and earn more money, you will be able to unlock many new species of animals and plants! There are various ways that you can do this, the easiest is by completing missions. The next method is animal research, this will cost you but after funding the research of an animal you will be able to unlock and purchase them for the island. Finally, you will get random visitors throughout your time playing Ecoplanet, to get them to stay you must meet their requirements and convince them your island is the best to call their home.
Open up your very own island tours business and let guests view your island in boats, helicopters and submarines. Open up food, drink and souvenir shops to maximize your profits and keep your customers happy. Increase your island rating to attract more customers and become an even richer island owner!
Breeding is one of the most important systems implemented in the game, not only will it be necessary to maintain a species but you also have the creative freedom to selectively breed your animals to produce animals with specific traits/genetics. Some of the genetics that you can breed for are below:
-
Height
-
Hunger
-
Speed
-
Lifespan
-
Reproduction Rate
Using the terrain editor you can create tall mountains and deep rivers to accommodate for the animals on your island. Let your creativity flow and create an island exactly to your needs!
Ecosystem designing doesn’t stop on the land! There has been an abundance of marine creatures made for life in the ocean! Make sure you learn to build above and below water to maximize your profits whilst creating beautiful islands.
Its just me! My name is Brad and i’m the solo developer of Ecoplanet. The idea started in September 2018 but it was designed to be an educational simulation tool as part of my university degree. However after two years of developing, once graduating I decided I wanted to turn it into a commercial game. I have always been a fan of tycoon games ever since I started playing Roller Coaster Tycoon so I have used that as inspiration to fuel the tycoon side of the game, with other inspirations coming from more of my favorite games such as Viva Pinata!

Fata Deum
With the power of a god, who will you become?
A god game where you not only build settlements, but compete with other gods for influence. In Fata Deum, the more followers you have, the more power you wield.
Manage your mana to manipulate your settlements, devotees and the fabric of reality itself. As you amass more power, you’ll be able to pick more unearthly feats to wield.
Convince or conquer
During the day, use your influence on the mortals. Will you bless and inspire them onto good work, or strike fear into their hearts with terrifying visions? But be wary, the townsfolk have their own free will.
At night, you can manipulate settlements. Instruct the mortals to build you mighty temples for worship, farms and lumber mills so that they may prosper, or even to ruin other villages.
Frighten or foster
Perhaps you’d like to be a tyrant, ruling over a kingdom of debauchery and blood. Raise an army and sacrifice your mortals to summon terrifying demons. Your choice.
Or maybe you do believe in fun, festivities and spreading the love, but have no qualms weakening your enemies by spreading fear - or just hitting them with a Thunderstrike.
Shape a living world
As your influence grows, the living world will shape around it, getting ever more vast. Each god manifests their kingdom differently.
Will yours be a kingdom of crops and light, or twisted trees and glowering darkness? You’ll battle gods of Violence, Deceit, Fertility and Pleasure.
Experience your story
Play a young god rising to glory in campaign mode, which is full of curious and revealing challenges set to an engaging narrative.
Mind the Vikings
I loved this game at first, and even gave it an excellent review but now its dead. One developer lout of the 2 working on it left. I wasted my money for a broken, buggy, incomplete game. First time I’ve been burned by early access. I hope the remaining dev is able to sell the title to a different studio that can complete it, but no one should waste their money on this. You can get other games with the same concept that are complete. If i could, I would return it. I was unfortunate enough to play it for an extended period of time.

PROS:
Great art style
Simple gameplay but still very fun
Actual people who interact with eachother
Factions
Personality
CONS:
Kinda unfinished
Overflow of bugs (see in comments how many bugs)
People cannot interact with relics
SUGGESTIONS:
Add a map, with different islands. Make people fight for the islands. Also add a “peacefull” gamemode with no other vikings.
Make people interact with relics, like climbing the relics.
See people actually coming by boat to the island.
Please dont make the suggestions a DLC.

Monastery Builder
Monastery Builder is a simulator of life in a medieval monastery. Take up a monk’s way of life and see if you can handle the daily challenges that come with it.
Ora et labora - pray and work. These are the main rules that guide the way for each monk. Only so much and so many. If you think it’s nothing, then you’re in for quite a surprise. Each day is subject to strict organization and there’s no time to get bored in your monastery. Complete all tasks in line with this motto, gain new experiences, and become an important ‘somebody’ in the monastic hierarchy.
Arrange a proper agricultural base. You have to plant cereals that you can use to bake bread and distribute among the poor. It is also important to take proper care of vegetables, fruits, and herbs growing in the monastic gardens. Without them, you won’t be able to prepare potions for the sick, or wine for trade. There are plenty of similar challenges ahead.
Grow your monastery. Expand it with more buildings and develop the infrastructure. Medieval monasteries were famous for having exceptionally rich hospitals and educational facilities. They also served as sanctuaries for weary travelers and played a vital role in supplying nearby residential settlements with products. You have to build it all by yourself, so you better get to work!
Unholy Heights
An apartment management tower-defense game about your resident monsters against humans.
While the idea of being a landlord is enticing the tower-defense part can get incredibly tedious & repetitious since there’s not a whole lot of strategy to use here from beginning to end.
The idea of the tower-defense is just to stop humans from stealing your money and if they get away with it you only lose your highly expendable tenant should they have died defending the money taken so there’s no real fail state. You try and stop the humans by knocking on the room doors of the monsters of your choosing and IF they’re home (which most usually are) they’ll do their tower-defense thing and help kill the intruders.

Let me tell you about Popan.
Popan was the first baby ever born in my apartments. She was a Cheepy so I didn’t have high expectations. Popan was probably 3 days old when her parents died in an unfortunate ambush on my complex. I had a ton of other tenants, so I didn’t see the harm in waiting for her to grow up. Somehow, she never became in debt. This fucking baby was paying the rent. She grew up to be a total badass. She would single-handedly wipe out entire waves of enemies without breaking a sweat.

House Builder: First Job
I really think this game has great potential! I loved playing the first two jobs and can’t wait to see what else there will be.
The building crafting mechanics unfortunately got rather tiring over time, as I constantly yeeted the raw tiles for the roofing when I tried to get them into the oven, so that I needed to make new ones. Also, the distances are hard to guess when using the hand tool/drag-and-drop, which for me made it difficult at times to get the clay into the form.
I would like to be able to collect the raw materials as well (not just the finished ones) and clicking them into their crafting destination, instead of having to drag-and-drop them, risking to lose them whenever I move aound too quickly.

House Builder: First Job
…is a crafting simulator. Build a shelter in the northern ice lands or the African jungle, using basic material from your surroundings.
⚙ Game Description & Mechanics ⚙
Two locations are made available for you to choose from, although the game implied that you start with Greenland and then move to Middle-Africa. Both offer a very different building style: the igloo requires that you to keep a warm fire burning while gathering ice blocks cut from the ground, and a mudbrick house made requiring rocks for the foundation, bamboo sticks and vines for the structure and clay and water for the walls and roof. Both locations have a dangerous beast lurking around (a bear in the first, a lion in the second) from which you need to keep your distance of.

A-Train: All Aboard! Tourism
Game Overview :
In the world of A-Train, people gather around stations, gradually developing the surrounding town. What kind of railroad will you create? How will you develop the town? All these choices and more are yours to make.
Nyanco's Review :
Japanese Style + Tourism SimCity + Transport Tycoon
[1] Intro
A-Train: All Aboard! Tourism was developed by ARTDINK and published by Degica. A-Train is a business management simulation game where you take on the role of a president of a railroad company to develop towns with an urban, tourism friendly setting. What is this game and what’s in it? Let's take a look at it with Nyanco-chan!
– Real player with 11.3 hrs in game
It really is the best version of the A-train. In addition to all the complexity of the A-train PC Classic (previous to this one), kept in this one, the tour/tourist mechanic was added. Besides, it has better information presentation than the previous one as well, and graphically it’s very nice, with an excellent mix of 2d (isometric) and 3d vision. The only downside is with the control (mouse and keyboard), It takes a little getting used to and could be a little better. If you already know the series or like simulators it is worth the full price. Note: Currently it is not possible to change the settings directly from the menu, it is necessary to enter a scenario. In the first tutorial scenario, you have to go a little further to enable the function, If you want to change soon, It is recommended to enter another scenario without being tutorial, to change directly.
