TM - Prologue

I love the premise of the game , and there are some really great design choices which make it easy to play. Item placement is really great and pathing/mapping seems to work really well.

The main Issue I have is that when you look at the content that will be unlocked for the game , theres nothing interesting. It is just more of the same. 3 more drinks, have more waiters, have more chefs , have more barmen.

build a bigger bar , which in turn means more micro management of the same thing. Would have loved to see a bit more creativity. They have a hugely dynamic playing field you could have everything from bar brawls requiring security to tavern wenches or bards performing. You could have city watch coming in if theres too much ruckus or illicit activity in your tavern, but illicit activity could be more profitable. You could have local thugs trying to extort if you make too much money but have too little security. Hell you could even have a page for DIY recipes with your ingredients for your chef to make which could fail or succeed.

A very nice and polished demo! I love this game already. It completely scratches the idle management sim itch. I’m really looking forward to the final release!

I didn’t notice any bugs myself but did have some difficulty trying to figure out how staff happiness works. In the full release, in-game tutorials/tips for different features and mechanics would be helpful (but not a huge deal). Everything else was pretty self-explanatory.

The demo runs very smoothly with high graphics on my potato, no lag or stuttering.

My favorite purchase all year.

If you’re wondering what I’ve been able to do with FlowScape that led to my review, you can take a look at all of my projects here .

I knew the moment I laid eyes on this, I would most likely love it. It exceeded my expectations as a casual design & illustration tool that just about anyone can use. I have spent many hours putting together village & macro background scenes. The Sculpting tool allow you to create mountains, hills, lakes, rivers, as I see fit. The Painting tool allows you to create walkways. I can construct anything from realistic waterfalls to lost ruins with the Transformation tool to manipulate just about any object.

Wow, it’s difficult to say in words how impressive and relatively deep this instant gratification “game” is! Marketed as a game, but used by many as a 3D design tool. Oh, it’s not Maya, or Lightwave, or even Bryce or Blender, which is cool because we already have those. This is something different, and special, and FAST, and easy! And for all its limitations, what IS here is a lot deeper and impressive than you might imagine!

I’ve made a nice living from building scenes in 3D software for many decades, and I’ve spent countless hours working with wire-frames and pallets of textures and bump maps and lighting devices, and scratching my head over each new entries' exploration into the 3D modeling' procedures. It doesn’t replace those high-end spreads for many projects, but this WILL be replacing the high-rollers on a few projects and making my life so much easier!

Great casual game for £10 pounds. Does not take long to complete everything though, but the developer is going to add more stuff. Lets hope we get more floors and a larger surface area to work with.

Tip: You do not need to leave a walkway for staff or guest to move around tables and chairs, there is room within the grids.

Tip: If you want more Waitresses just add some more Kitchen Counters (If you have unlocked everything).

Tip: Hotel Bed Rooms, To get a 5 star room, you have to have certain things in it, but you can add up to 5 beds which will give you the extra money for each. You need two windows for a 5 star room, but the windows can be anywhere in the room and do not need to be on a outside wall. You also do not need to have any corridors, just have a doorway through the room, guests will walk through rooms to get to the room they want.

At this time i played the game for roughly 20 hours in an earlier version.

My only gripe was that it was a little lacking in depth back then, but that changed for the release version in every aspect of the game.

What hooked me at first glance was the atmosphere and the weird kind of nostalgica the game gave me.

It felt like a game i would have loved to play 30 years ago (i am old) but didn’t had the technic for.

We got a pretty Tavern Builder with fantastic lightning, music and atmosphere that gives you alot of freedom to build things the way you like it.
